At least it's smaller than Moondrop Discdream 2 and has a Bluetooth option. The design is more like 80s and very early 90s style (80s-1992), made under the assumption that it will also be commonly used as a tabletop or bookshelf stereo unit, thus not designed in a sporty way. After Sony invented ESP, things started to change. There also used to be the lock feature to prevent accidental button presses. Used to be standard with every single portable CD player. And there was the in-line remote with backlit LCD display for easy control, so that the CD player main unit can be controlled while kept in the bag or pocket. Lower end units often did not have remotes. And mid range units often did not have LCD display on the remote. LCD remotes are especially useful for MP3 CDs with track titles but are also useful for seeing the track number, EQ/playback settings, and battery life. Some units in the 2000s even had docking feature for both charging and stereo output. I would imagine some of the docks would have an IR remote control feature. Most if not all flagship units had line out, and lot of flagship units had optical output, at least until they slimmed it down too much in the early 2000s. The late 90s (around 1998-2000) had the perfect balance between feature and slim form factor. Albeit you won't get the docking stereo mode or the MP3 CD track titles. For track titles, the MiniDisc players did that since inception (late 1992) along with anti skip feature (which was a standard feature and couldn't be turned off).
Ive been waiting to find out if u can use an IR or Bluetooth remote control with it. If u can i will buy one to use in my hifi system. If u cant its a bit of a deal breaker for me.
@@tech.prince unfortunately, reviews will not be able to add remote :/ even my portable discmans about 20-30 years old had remote... Fiio is also and I think first of all digital spdif transport - definietly needs to have one
official page says there are digital outputs: coaxial and optical. There is a combined 3.5mm jack containing analogue line-out, digital coaxial out and optical as well. However, the remote is not an option.
@@trekkis is it really problem to find the cable you need separately? They give us an option. Our job is to chose. Different people may need different cables (their types and length). It's impossible to prepare the set applicable for everyone rigth out of the box
What optical cable plug can be used? Toslink (the square shape ) or mini Toslink ?
👀 Love the look of this retro device, I might have to buy one! I love my vinyl but still buy plenty of cd's
small criticism but it looks pretty chunky.. portable cd players used to look sleek, what happened :p

Giant battery inside isn’t going to be slim. Not to mention the board has two chipsets and all of those ports 😂

Can you use it as a headphone amp/dac?
Yes, I beleive it can be used as an external amp/dac combo using the USB-C cable
Amazing. Can it read CDR CDRW?
Is it programable? Does it have gapless playback? (Not putting spaces between tracks that should play continuously.)
This is Just Unboxing Video, The Reviews Will Come Soon
It is possible to use it as dac? Does it have any usb input so that I can use it as a desktop dac?

@@OleksandrShkurat but there is no optic cable in box. And this is not simply typical cable, but kind of special one.
