I used to work at Tellabs designing SF signalling convertors back the late 70's through the early 2000's and I remember that Special Services Telephony book. One of the variants of the Tellabs 4024 card you show was one of my designs. I also see one of the 6073 DTMF decoder cards that I designed in your rack, and I sure wish I would have held on to one of the prototypes. I also designed a family of D4 and SLC-96 channel back compatible cards such as an ETO (Equalized transmit only) and some FXS, FXO cards. This video brings back some great memories, and is so cool to see interest in the technology of that time ;-)

This brings back good memories. I worked as a SxS switchman in the 70's. Both class 4 &5 with Cama. Everything we had was E&M signaling - toll, intertoll, eas, 1+ ani b/ Cama. In the toll center (eldon,Missouri) we had simplex signaling between switches in the switch-train in the same building. The carrier eqpt was o and n2, n3 with 3700 an 2600 hertz respectively if I remember correctly. I really appreciate these videos. This technology is very interesting to me even at 72 years old. Thank you so much. More videos on this and switching - please.
