thanks for the info! ive always thought of rogues to be using daggers for the ambushes and backstabs. glad to hear im not the only one that mostly targets the squishy players lol
Ultimately it comes down to how you would like to play rogue, there's about 50 different pvp specs out there to accommodate to different styles of rogue gameplay For the purpose of stealthing around in AV and blowing people up in the Field of Strife like Pshero usually does on stream (or pve'ing Belinda & Vann) this spec is fine as well as others including cold blood hemo, cold blood dagger and even combat daggers/sword. Though I do feel once you hit your desired rank and no longer playing the AV meta day in day out this spec isn't ideal, since snares are the biggest counter to a rogue in real pvp scenarios. 16/12/23 - Imp sprint is essential if you're doing warsong gulch against capable players especially if you aren't a gnome, since uptime on target is the most important factor and I feel like you'll just be too easy to peel off flag carriers without it. Yes vanish works to get out of slows but you're limiting yourself to 2 outs from snares (3 if you have spider belt off 30 min cd), whereas with imp sprint you have 4 outs. You'll find yourself constantly stuck in novas, hamstringed off EFC or caught in a root from a druid, whilst feeling mad because you were about to do massive burst on the target but got peeled off too easily. Using phrases like "Druids are so broken maaan what the fuck" or "I can't afford to be using faps every time i see a druid" classicdb.ch/?talent#fGx0oxZGcM0bZfMjcc0R - Is an example of how this spec would look, considerations could be made such as 0/5 master of deception for 5/5 opportunity if you just want to do damage. Though I like the 2 points in MoD for getting into position for a clean sap in group fights or when moving in prior to an offensive push on the efc to sap a healer making it a lot easier for the team to get a kill. 12/17/22 - Then for the higher skill capped players wanting to take on a challenge, imp kick is the step up from that sacrificing some damage for big outplay potential for things like natures swiftness from a druid or preventing a mage from blinking while you take full advantage of a 2 second burst window with backstab thistle tea backstab (countering the two classes you'll find yourself running into the most in WSG premades when used correctly). classicdb.ch/?talent#fGx0ooZGccbrZfMjcc0k - This is an example of an imp kick build, you're going to be sacrificing a lot of damage from opportunity & lethality, however in proper premade situations your main contributions to team fights isn't bursting a target down single handedly, but being vocal on discord of the EFC's position, using your stuns to isolate the kill target (EFC) whilst cc'ing healers and when you play like this you'll find that imp kick adds massively to the pressure your team is able to push out
@Big Dawg, do you prefer swords or daggers? I'm leveling my rogue now and i'm torn between the two. I see a lot of top rogues using daggers, LMGD, Pshero, Perplexity (I don't watch many streamers tbh).
@@vIMMENSEv For solo levelling swords is the best just because you're fighting mobs from the front most of the time, dungeon levelling after lvl 40 when you can get Gut Ripper daggers could arguably be better. But yeah at end game pvp I prefer daggers 100% more than swords, cold blood/hemo with swords is viable just as much as any dagger pvp spec but there's more aspects to think about with dagger pvp which is why I think as you say, a lot of the top rogues are drawn to it over swords since it's the more rewarding spec to play when played well
Hide and seek is very op since every caster has less hit or does have hitcap rn with pvp stuff. As preference: i still need to skill elemental precision even pvp hit capped coz of that ability. Otherwise, the reists are real.
I'm curious why no MoD? I've noticed few specs use it but I am constantly being seen at a distance by other players and rogues. Heck the archer towers in av can see me while stealthed hehe. Also, what happens when the 3000 frost mages or hunters snare ya?
MoD is for sword pvp. you have to spend extra points into backstab crit for daggers, it's more important than MoD. you have to go to the second tier of the combat tree, while with swords all you need from there is improved gouge. good question tho
I read in the comments people questioning Pshero about this build, when he clearly explains the reason why he takes the talents he picks. Double Crippling Poison, also Pshero - I target squishies, warriors not my priority. Do you mofos listen what he says, or just watch the video?
What's the rotation on hemo? Like do I ever backstab or ambush? Because I have to weapon swap each time. I'd only do it once in the opener and that's about it. Any help on that?
@@Mixwell1983 veteren sealfate pvp player back in vanilla here. Ive recently got back into classic, and to my surprise sealfate isnt as great as it used to be.
