I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read ruclips.net/user/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.
This idea needs to be sold to manufacturer, Such as KREG, etc, I would not buy at the suggested of $250, many hobbyist do not have a lathe, welder or the skills but most do not have this handy sander/grinder, really one of the most usable tools posted, your presentation is commendable!
You are a truly brilliant fabricator! You work with homeowner quality tools and produce professional results. Your handmade tools are better than the store bought tools too. Thank you for making these videos! Jerry
@@rodolfohernandez2312 well if you didnt have a grinder, drill and welder you wouldnt be watching the video to begin with, but the lathe on the other hand is something few will have and if they have a lathe they likely already have a proper belt grinder
What would be more brilliant would be if he actually made these into production parts, i.e. efficient high-volume manufacturing, and sold them commercially. Now THAT, would be brilliant.
Love watching machining and fabrication like this. It's like watching my dad work. Brings back memories. He's no longer with us. Thank you for this vid! Great work by the way. You have lot's of creativity and skill in this craft. Hat's off to you sir.
I appreciated your showing the finer points of the crafting of that belt wheel (center swell, knurled finish, etc. ). Your notes really added value. Great project. Thank you.
Hi! The quality of the parts, since from its begining to its end, shows immediatly the top craftsman you trully are. Not only the idea of this tool was good as its making was also brilliant. I am very happy about coming across this video of yours. And i'd like to see much more from you. Good luck, you well deserv it.
Great if you have a 3jaw chuck/lathe takes me back to my engineering apprentice days in the early 1960's when as part of the apprentice we had to make all our tools.
Good job.. just that....... looks like not everybody have that lathe machine & all that quite advanced mchines to do your diy project. But, your info 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Superb!
Amazing ! Speechless with such expertise and method not to mention the beauty of the project !!! Even the footage is great it doesn t need voice , it is oriented towards what the viewers need to see. Chapeau bas !
Nifty little tool. A real space saver for a small workshop. Hell even a tradie in a ute or a van oould find a spot for this. Good to see you using good PPE while doing hot work. Earned yourself a Sub.
Hats off for your welds, it shows how good you are! In the future, try heating up steel to around 400c and apply linseed oil with a rag or something, the result is satisfying
Muito obrigado pela publicação das ideias de aproveitar as máquinas que estão em nossas mãos no momento em que precisamos delas para fazermos o que quisermos .
Metal working tip, always drill all your holes in a piece before shaping and finishing, that way you can adjust the final dimensions to the holes if they drill out of centre.
You can use a 3” holesaw for angle grinder pully and other size too. It also table fan motor can be use rather then grinder but the Idea Is very good need to weld 2 Litle small pice of as belt guard when bet slide out of the grinder pully.👍🏽
Good job on the fab, only tweak I would have made would be to fab another drum with pressed in bearing instead of having the bearing captive with welded plate. Just my $.02.
Very useful and nice work. I would not do this, however, with angle grinder : its too noisy. Better choose other drive motor, maybe brushless and w/o gears.

It's nice to see how the work is in full swing in your hands. A great idea, the execution of a man with golden hands.

Fossils etc. How many homeowners you know they have all those power tools at home be real.
Good Work not easy to duplicate by many I bet but good job

That was epic. You are a master. So well built. Will probably out live the AG.
Wish you made ones attached on table grinder/polisher. Hand grinder not bad idea, but short time carbon brush wear
That is a genius method of capping off tubing! Great build.
Looks great Sean, thanks for sharing the build with us!
Absolutely clean job. Perfection is in the details. Well done. Subbed
tolle Sache , aber was , wenn ein Kugellager gewechselt werden soll ?

Unbelievable Craftmanship from the design to the welding. the only problem is you need a whole machine shop to make it.

Very handy attachment for grinder, good work!
Amazing design - need to sell it to Makita or De Walt and see if they can manufacture it and sell for a $250 attachment - I would definitely buy it.
Almost perfect, even though I will not be able too do likewise, I am impressed .Bernie carr

Хороший инструмент !!!!
Now that was really COOL !
Good job on the fab, only tweak I would have made would be to fab another drum with pressed in bearing instead of having the bearing captive with welded plate. Just my $.02.
