Oh my gosh I LOVE YOU for posting this !!!! Ok, no I love my hubby LOL… but I really really really am happy this is EXACTLY what I have to do- I was half way there but was pulling the light the wrong way 😁😁😁👍THX again !!!
I thought the same and this is hella late but you gotta just pretty much punch them in, not enough to obviously break the taillight but enough force to clip them back in
They finally made it this way, because there would be water leaks if they made the bulb accessible through the trunk. Remove the tail light to change bulb makes the trunk less prone to water leaking into the trunk...Nissan and Toyota made it this way since the 90's.
@DIYHonda yeah my cl, accord leaks water during a rainstorm and puddles up in the spare tire area, all leaking from the gasket between the taillight. My mom had a infiniti j30 never leaked water because of their tail light never using gasket. The bad side is if you have a bulb to replace the tail light assembly has to be removed which is a pain...
Very clear, simple, quick how-to video. Even it's in 240p, yours is light years better than 90% out there that offer 4K quality. Thumbs up!!

You think you can make a video of uninstalling the other piece of the taillight that sits in the trunk

I looking to replace my whole assembly as the plastic is cracked. Is there anything I would do differently?
What did you end up doing?
@@xthesavages-151 bought an assembly on ebay and had a buddy who knew what he was doing, do it. Lol
Recommend put a clock near the left so you don’t chip the paint like mines did

Honda is a little late to the game but finally made the switch
