I can't give enough thanks for this video. I have the same programmer and have been struggling to figure out why I can't get my 2532 chips to program. Finally you shed light on my problem. It was the 2532a "read only," and the -2 setting that I needed to get it right. After I watched your video, I immediately went and programmed 6 new roms for my Ms Pac board and it worked perfectly! Nice job on your cabinet builds. The plexi on your Ms Pac is pretty cool. Thanks again for this video. Spectacular!
Although it may work on an external 5v supply the manual actually calls out 9v FYI Note: If you are using an un-powered USB hub or extension hub, it may not provide enough power to operate the USB programmer. In this case, you may need a 9V, 200mA (or greater) DC adapter with a center-positive, 2.1mm DC plug.
There are a bunch of mods for Pac-Man boards. There are at least a few “alternate maze” hacks, usually involve replacing roms, and sometimes other slight modifications to the board (some jumper wires, or other mods)
Great cabinet i like the see thru plexiglass... curious if i can use emprom eraser to erase original chip and install new program on the original rather than buy a blank? Thx for vid.
Hey Thanks! I have hundreds of hours of stuff recorded, I just have like 10 jobs so it's hard to find time to edit these. I appreciate the encouragement though!

That's great to hear! Yeah, I struggled with those chips for a while until I figured it out too. Really glad this video helped :-)

Thanks for this info. I've been searching for this for years.
Your cabs are SO awesome!
I just love fast mode, as I'm good at this game.
We love it too. The amount we play has gone way up since modding to fast mode :-)
I wish I could do it to the one small one
Did it work? Don't leave us guessing
Can ms pacman galaga - 20th anniversary also be mod for fast?
No mod required, those boards have an onscreen menu for all the settings and you can switch the speed from normal to fast.
My question is, how do you get the alternate levels. One machine I played in the past had a level that had stair step sections

Hi which joystick do you use in those? Do you like them or are they too stiff?

SCAMATICS777 yeah absolutely, as long as the chip has a window under the sticker, it can be erased with UV light and reprogrammed.
Thx
another great video. thought you might have abandoned making videos.
