Highlights
🧭 The problem statement is the 'True North' of a dissertation proposal, guiding the literature search and writing process.
🤔 A research problem should be specific, well-defined, and either theoretical or practical in nature.
🌍 The problem statement consists of three components: context, knowledge gap, and significance.
💡 The context describes the current situation and what needs to change or what is wrong with the current situation.
🔎 The knowledge gap identifies the existing gap in the scholarly discourse on the topic, providing the terms for the study.
⚠️ The significance of the problem highlights its urgency, often supported by impactful statistics regarding the scope and consequences of the problem.
📚 The problem statement evolves as more information is learned, serving as a guide for literature review and research focus.

What are the impact of economic integration to social economic development case study Europe problem statement

UTA class of 2024!
I loved it and you are very beautiful.

Very confusing , perplexing puzzling is this problem statement...At multiple places i found that literature review precedes problem statement but here Mam saying that problem statement leads to literature review... than how we got to know about the problem in first place?
It's an iterative cycle - you start with an idea of the problem and then review literature to learn about what others have discovered. You then revise your original problem statement and continue repeating this process until you have completed your review of the literature.
