My headcannon is that, after a bitter life in sunset valley, Agatha invited Agnes to live with her in the countryside in order to make the poor woman's life a bit better and not so lonely
When I finally got my hands on TS3 and the loading screen popped up I screamed a whole lot bc there was a blonde lady with Betty bangs dressed in mourning clothes and crying.
Right around that time my grandfather had passed away, leaving behind my grandmother, a blonde woman with Betty bangs. The two ladies have the exact same eye color, grimace, sour attitude, and penchant for dark lipstick.
Seeing Agnes bebopping around town never stopped being really weird for me 😂

Maybe she felt the sims3 house was too big and full of memories so used her fortune to try and find her roots therefore she rebuilt and fix her lost husband's family town which was in ruins and now she lives a simpler life in the countryside with her cousin who has been her support eversince she lost the love of her life
Love that everyone is speculating about why she would choose a simpler life and EAs thought process was basically „mmmh, who is an famous NPC people want back and we could squeeze into the pack, so they would buy it?“
I began turning her Sims3 home into a better art museum then demolish the one in town to make way for other buildings. She either moves in with the Goths, that horrible monochromatic starter home, or I ship her off to the werewolves and fairies town which I cannot remember the name of.

Alot of flats in Germany dont have a shower either i've never had a shower in my flats till i moved into dorms öwo.
@@luciensucks5990 In the UK a lot of old countryside houses don’t have showers (only have bath), but almost all new built flats have showers.
My house is old and the only thing we have is a shower bath combo. So it is basically just a tub 😅

He said that’s because older houses does not have waterproof walls. And with bath they only fill it to ankle height (if fully filled up the water is for reuse for the whole family), and have to be very careful not to splash onto the walls.

I put thousands of hours into the Sims 3 and I gotta tell ya: I don't remember Agnes at all. Though, I was always more interested in my own sims than the townies, so...yknow.

Truth. I know I'm always comparing them. I played base game sims 3 for hours and hours well before world adventures came out. I could barely squeeze fun out of base game sims 4. Only the CAS is fun and everything else feels squeezed in or drained out. In sims 4 the cameras weird, the world's have like 4 lots, the sims wander in places they shouldn't be, the autonomy settings do nothing. And everybody likes to make fun of Kayla for always building a blue suburban, but the game hardly has options to let you build anything else! And it's all so pricey to the point of gouging! Sims 3 gave you tons of content. Sims 4 taunts you with scraps of content and baits you into paying the price of a full game for a few camping items or a mid wedding pack.
For every advancement the sims 4 made, they made 5 steps back in my opinion.
The lighting system in sims 4 is nice though. Too bad I'm broke and can't afford a computer to run it with lights and shadow settings on too high.
I wish they had included a mailbox door. We don’t have mailboxes, we use letterboxes though the door straight into the hall
Yeah, it would be nice to have a door with a little cage on the inside to catch the letters. It would make my Shut-In playthroughs so much better 😂

This pack gave me so many wishlist items: very colorful kitchen counters, flowery wallpaper, bunnies, but my favorite item is the long braid with a bow hairstyle because it's perfect for my sims self, I wear my hair in a braid like that almost every day. The sunflower details on the CAS and build/buy objects also make me so happy, I love sunflowers so much!

You can change the lighting in build/buy mode. If you click the little sun in the top center toolbar, it runs through morning, afternoon, evening and night lighting.

Sims 2 Agnes is literally an older Sims 3 Agnes who is the same Agnes as Sims 4 Agnes but she’s in a different timeline. Wait, what?

MRS. Crumplebottom from Sims 2 is a distant relative of Agnes. MISS Crumplebottom from Sims 1, however, IS Agnes
this house definitely needs a bird feeder lol
All the extensions on the house are pretty realistic for British houses. There are always extra bits sticking out here and there, and tbh, sometimes it looks like they've just added a tiny extension in a super weird place with no planning what so ever. I've seen extensions on different houses be so close to each other that there are tiny boxes of nothingness in between them, which makes you think, why not use that little empty square of ground as well? Outside the window of my last flat there was literally just a square hole down to the ground, completely surrounded by the walls of my building and my neighbour's building (kinda wanna build that in The Sims even if it'll look stupid lol.) Yours make sense tho, and looks nice too!
what I do in older or smaller houses is that I sink a part of the bathroom down and add the single shower thing that came with some pack to that. even if its only one tile big the sims can still use it, if your couple is very open you can make it slightly bigger and add several showers. ALSO I tend to have a different color floor tile in that space. looks really cute and is easy

My feeling is the house was originally Agatha's house and as Agnes got older she decided to move out of her Haunted Mansion and decided to move in with her cousin.
Honestly, Lilsimsie, thank you so much. I’ve never watched your tutorials or building tips videos but i’ve been practicing and taking notes from your videos lately. It has helped so mich with my builds, i’m currently working on a garden-only lot in Bramblewood.
In building mode, you can actually change the day light! If you click on it (morning, day, evening or night) then you don't have to worry on time anymore because when you're back to live mode, it changes back to where it was!

First thoughts after playing a bit: I love the Cas, the building options are great (but I agree with 99% of the things you said in the video you made about the tools) and the gameplay is really adorable. I love the bunnies (we didn't get the chance to talk to the foxes yet) and the welcome wagon was so sweet. My sweet little family made the first friends and we will see how it will keep going for them. Just a sweet farming live seems so great. We started in one of the premade starter homes, but we will move on, when I've build something new for them. I really like the pack and it was worth the money. Love it!

It's not new lore! We already knew from previous games that she never took his surname because he drowned on their honeymoon. Ouchie
@@the.rest.is.confetti Aah ok! I was saying ''new lore'' as for knowing Agatha cause I don't think we met her before? But I'm really not well versed in Sims lore past the Sims 2 (and even that). I thought about that because of the thing she was reading tho saying something like ''Not long after taking her husband's surname, he died''. Also, the honeymoon is after signing papers where you take the name. So there's some things that don't add up either in this part of the backstory or in our understanding... Anyways, not super important, just a thing I noticed.
She says at the beginning of the video when she's reading out Agnes Sims 3 backstory. He died before she got the chance to legally change her surname.

My grandparents and me both live in old farm houses and a similar trait is open showers in the basement, but showers in the basement seems to be a common place in older houses in the midwest.

Check her instagram or her twitter for those things (she has the same handle everywhere). She was already engaged, they just haven't exchanged rings because of the pandemic.
Also the visa process took a lot longer than 90 days for them, she made a video about it a while ago.
The discord server is a good place to be if you like to stay updated 😊 she posted the engagement photos on instagram and twitter 😊 (yes they were already engaged, but now she got the ring and they took some cute engagement photos since they are together again irl 😊)
I love this pack so much! It's hand down my favourite thing that EA has released for the sims in a loooong time.
I just wish there were a few more empty lots in the world cos I love building there but don't want to bulldoze the other houses cos they're so well done and beautiful.
Solution to old house/shower thing that's more realistic: a modern-ish bathroom in the basement. Old houses where I am all have stone basements, but some of them have been finished (like the one I have) and they pretty much always add a nice bathroom when they get finished

The landscaping that you did for this build is absolutely stunning! I love wilder cottage/fairy gardens. I think they are stunning so the landscaping for this pack really excites me
It's almost creepy how similar this house is to my in-laws' house. Their color choices are more red and blue than green and yellow, but otherwise it's uncanny how much alike they are.
i bought it and build a big farm house with chickens, big kitchen etc and moved there granparents their daughter and her 2kids AND daughters girlfriend with her child (+family dog). so there is much work but i like it and i love that i play with the granparents again!! (i started the save with them). now i have played with this and LOVE IT the aesthetic the work the town!!!!

I know you say a lot that you’re not great at getting out your comfort zone when it comes to landscaping but you did an outstanding job with this landscaping and you always do! It’s so cute and the garden reminds me a little of my aunts garden, it’s so nice and cosy and realistic for a British garden like this!

I like to think the super modern home she has in Sims3 was possibly Erik's and he was starting to decorate it for the both if them (and the future family they wanted 😭). This style suits more of what I think of when I think crotchety old Ms. Crumplebottom. Can't wait to get the pack!!
I have been looking forward to this pack coming out I love the idea of cottage living and village life. Now I really can't wait to get it today.
