I was wondering what kind of towel, or fabric you are using for the cleaning. I may have missed it in the video as I was following along. I greatly appreciate such an informative video!
I'm new to this, so I'm heavy handed for now. I just rack the slide and remove the excess with a fiber cloth until there's no excess. I do oil up the spring, the barrel, rails and points of friction.
Thank U, I'm new too & your video is very thorough! I'm having a terrible time trying to get my lever down to the 6 o'clock position. It's new and it is SO tight!
Thanks for the words!! The cloth I use is for high powered microscopes. It's WAY overkill for what I'm doing, and I acquired them from a family member. Any cloth that comes with a cleaning kit, or a simple microfiber cloth will do just fine!
Jeff is that a particular extended mag or just a bottom end swap out? How many rounds and if its an aftermarket 1 pc extended mag where you get it from? Sig?
Hey im new to the gun world, followed your steps on my p265 but after i put it back i hear a rattling noise coming from the FCU, should i be concerned, has this happened to you before? Thanks in advance
@mattsmith8578 very simply put, oil for daily use, grease if you're going to store a gun for years on end and not use it to prevent rust. Also, older Firearms. I only use red grease on my 1903 rifle and my M1 Garand, and oil on my WW2 Colt 1911. Just because they are so old
@@jeffofalltrades8489 sorry brother. I was so Frustrated looking for a total break down video. Finally got to one that I needed. That’s what happens when you don’t Have bourbon before comments. 😂
Ballistol, brush, and bore snake is all one needs for most gun cleaning tasks. I'm also a fan of Hoppes No. 9 for all points that require lube.
Thanks very much! You hit lots of good points and made things crystal clear.
I'm happy to hear that! Thanks a lot for your support!

Great video your thoughts on oil vs grease?

Why didn't you remove and clean the FCU?
4 pieces? Nice.
This is just a basic cleaning. Not “tear down”
@@BadBoy-tn2yx you got me.
