Demolition Dave versus Belgrave Heights Granite

Steve is a successful contractor with a fleet of machinery, cutting in a new driveway should have been a breeze... however the local hard granite was lurking just below the surface. Not discouraged easily Steve purchased some Expanding Chemical Cracking Agent, drilled a heap of holes, mixed it up and filled the holes and waited. A few days later it was evident that nothing was happening in a hurry with this rock. Enter Demolition Dave, the decision was made to continue with cracking agent as we did not have a lot of soil to cover with if we were going to blast, we quickly drilled some larger diameter much deeper holes and filled them with cracking goo, the free standing rock worked well the other rock was slow and a bit disappointing, probably because the weather was cold and this has a big effect on the cracking agent reaction. The desired result was finally achieved with a bit of explosive help.
