Another awesome video! I recently installed both front light bars, heritage grill, and Raptor lights with the aid of your videos. I only have a need for 2 switches inside the cab but this video has me thinking of cleaning up the engine compartment with this aux panel.
Awesome video. Is it a 36" battery cable? I am trying to understand what length I would need for a similar setup when the battery is on the opposite side of the control block. Also, I have another question. Based on your experience, is it ok to connect 12v power sockets directly to sPOD without additional relay and fuse? I wanted to install two sockets with separate lines. One for the car compressor fridge 120wt (so it's 10Amp nominal, maybe 20Amp to be safe), and another for charging batteries of cameras, laptops, etc. Most automotive refrigerators have a low peak current during startup, preventing excessive power spikes. Overall, 30Amp per channel in sPOD, in theory, must be more than enough, and a direct connection would minimize the number of wires under the hood, which would be my main goal in addition to enabling or disabling power for devices. But I have read some scary stories on the Amazon store like the circuits on board were fried because of a simple 5-amp water pump.
Hey! The Tundra kit comes with a longer cable to reach over to the battery. Which I would assume is the 84" length. To answer your second question, You should be fine without using the relays on your wiring as long as what you're hooking up or what you are plugging in to your power sockets does not exceed 30 amps. If what you are hooking up exceeds 30 amps then keep the relay in the wiring. One of the biggest positives to a switch panel is minimizing wire under the hood for a cleaner, easier install, so get rid of extra wiring where it's possible.
This is really amazing 💯 .... Nice clean and explanatory videos. You gained a new subscriber 👍, even though I don't own a tundra 😄.... I am a Rav4 cruiser I just love your videos Does sPOD have a rav 4 version for the controller?
Appreciate the support! You can get the universal kit and just mount in where ever. Install is going to be essentially the same. yotaxpedition.com/products/bantamx-touchscreen-switch-controller
I just received my BantamX Touchscreen from you guys and I found a card in the box that warned about where the aftermarket ground is placed. Do you know if this will be an issue with 2024 Limited that I have? Or will I be ok hooking up the ground like you did in the video? Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks the great vieos.
In the instructions from sPod, there is a seperate section for the installation on a hybrid model. Make sure to follow those! chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/www.4x4spod.com/wp-content/uploads/Installation%20Instructions/GNJV_870089-INS_001.pdf
your vids of how to are great! super detailed!
Thanks!
I was so scared to even think about trying to modify my truck but after watching the detailed videos you have I feel better.
That's exactly what we strive to do! Thank you!

Thanks! It is definitely a nice piece to have and you can always easily expand when you want.
I'm liking this over the wireless one.
Can you add the three market lights on the grill to this???
You definitely can! A lot of times we tie it in to all the other backlighting we install on vehicles.
