Looking forward to seeing your Yosemite trip! I'm hoping to hit the window where 4-mile trail opens with Glacier Point Road still closed... I went showshoeing up in Lassen last weekend. There is easily 15 feet of snow still on the ground up there. My son is in cross-country and track... lots of weekends are filled with those kind of activities. Good on you for prioritizing the Dad part of your life.
Hey thanks for the support Mitch! Yeah dad stuff is always at the top of my list so it’s always a juggle doing my other stuff but it’s a good problem to have. Yeah I made it up to Lassen in between storms back in March and it was crazy then, I’m sure it’s just packed in from all the snow. Definitely planning a trip or two when it settles down. Thanks man!
I hear ya on the family side. We just had our first in March, and it definitely takes priority and all the time! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to when you get back out there.
Oh congrats man! That is super exciting. Yeah kids are nonstop but I still manage to get stuff done for myself from time to time, figuring out the balance is tricky but it can be achieved. That's awesome for you though, being a dad is the best. Hope you are getting a little sleep!
Thanks for the update. I can totally relate to where your priorities our. My channel is very much a "when I can" type of thing. I blame it more on the full-time job than on the children as they are all teenagers now and don't need my constant attention. It's great though that you are putting the effort into being a dad first as that is what will really pay off in the end.
Thanks Craig! Yeah being a dad and husband is at the top of the list but my wife is quite supportive and we work together to make sure we both get time to do things we enjoy. Being a dad is the best, it is definitely the best job I've had. I appreciate the kind words and you being here!
No kidding! That’s awesome. Feel free to say hi if you see me out! I was getting a few shots of the reflection of the falls and then I ended up going shooting some grass patterns and tree reflections. Haven’t processed them yet but I’ll probably start within the next week or so.
@@jaredboazphoto I guess it means you are famous when a total stranger recognizes you. I almost said hello but wasn't sure about who you were. Then you know the sun was coming up and you could be wanting to get to the next shot before you lose the light. I was taking pictures of a little bit of everything. I spent the whole week there and had a great time. I might go back this fall.
You tube started rolling adds on mine before I hit 1000 subs. I had one video take off that it seemed like when it started. So adds will happen either way I think, but I did click on request the monetization stuff too before I hit 1000.

I was in Yosemite Saturday morning and saw you on the boardwalk with your camera pointed at Yosemite Falls. I'll wait and see what you captured.
