It's not sent straight back into your houses, it is dumped into the closest river at certain intervals in order not to cause harm to the environment, where it has time to disperse
@randalflowers4872 I live fairly close to both a water filtration plant and a waste water processing plant that are both on our local river....water filtration for homes us done upriver and sent out to our area....waste water plant is down river from our city where it collects and processes and get put back into the river. I've done tours of both these places multiple times, I know what I'm talking about
@@randalflowers4872 no it doesn’t. Wastewater treatment is done totally separate from (drinking) water treatment. Water treatment plants take water from reservoirs, lakes, rivers, etc. and treat it so that it’s clean drinking water. Wastewater and sewage is treated to a less stringent standard and then sent back into the river or ocean but downstream of where the drinking water (prior to its own treatment) is taken.
@@SlickWyteG59 not all areas have reservoirs to get water from, im 100% certain that some of these waste water plants send water straight back to the community for drinking
Engineer here this is flat out wrong information. Wastewater and sewage is treated to much less stringent standards than drinking water that is supplied to your house. The wastewater is treated and then released to a nearby water body like a river or the ocean. It is absolutely not suitable for drinking. Now, the water that is pumped to your house comes from a separate facility called a water treatment plant. This plant takes the water from reservoirs, rivers, lakes, etc. and filters and treats it to a much more stringent standard so that it is safe to drink. It’s also important to recognize that wastewater after being treated is safe to pump into nearby bodies of water but it is done so downstream of where the water that goes to the water treatment plant is taken. This means that the treated wastewater is able to disperse and dilute before there is any chance that it could be captured and sent to be treated for drinking water.
It's actually called reclaimed water and goes to water, parks, hoa communities. It's why it says not to drink it. Ever seen purple piping at the park or in your neighborhood. That's reclaim water.
This is not true. After the sewer water gets filtered and disinfected it is used strictly for irrigation like in parks and stuff it’s called reclaimed water that’s why you see signs at parks especially if they have a pond that warns not to drink the sprinkler water. Your drinking water comes from well water that is pumped from aquifers deep in the ground. It has its own process of purifying that has nothing to do with sewage I worked at a water treatment plant he got the process for reclaimed water summed up but it is not used for potable water. This is a lie. And for all you water bottle people where do you think they get there water from? They have less regulations than most water. Departments.
All the drinking water on earth has been the same since the beginning of time. It will never change.
City water vs mountain water is different
@ no it is not

It's still completely safe to drink
It is! I just think the treatment process is interesting

After the flint, Michigan water incident, I refuse to drink any tap water without a filter.

whats that? like paint from construction?

Atleast it's being cleaned and weren't dying or getting diseases.
