Besides those amazing techniques demonstrated by Sensei, I really love Tsukada-san.
He has been training with Sensei through many different Katas and many time for each Kata, but every time Sensei give a illustration, he is genuinely excited and surprised as a student learns a new lesson.
Feel little bit sorry for him by each time he gets hurt during Taka, but when he stands up from the fall, the smile always blooming on his face.

Wow! The wrist lock technique shown at time index: 5:30 is the same as the Nikyo joint lock taught in Aikido. Very nicely done! We would often use a Jo to do the same wrist lock in Aikido class. From what I see in the video, a wooden Tanto could serve as a substitute. If you didn't have a wooden Tessen (fan) to use in class. 😱😳😊😊

Much appreciation for Seki Sensei’s kind willingness to share these elegant techniques!
As part of our jujutsu training, we engage with small hidden weapons such as suntetsu and “found” weapons and tessen, which I became fascinated with when I trained in Kung fu. Tessen jutsu is really a wonderful practice, precisely because tessen increases leverage and is a beautiful thing for improving kyusho jutsu. Since it’s a tool and weapon one would carry - and is still carried in everyday life, it was and is a great “everyday carry” weapon. I loved the metal balls carried within the knot! A couple of my tessen have sharpened staves and function almost as tanto, but the more hidden element was wonderful to learn about. Thank you again to Seki Sensei and to you, of course! 🥋🙏🥋

Wow Tessen Jitsu is something I ought to look into. I got some basic tessen wooden and plastic fan lying around mainly used to fan me. But seeing it used as a self defense weapon has gotten my motivated to try and use it as that if needed.
Combining a Tessen and a Monkey’s Fist would surely be a weapon with lethal force. Granted it comes at a price. A fight is best to be avoided at all cost but when you gotta stand your ground it’s something better than your bare fists.

I want to believe, but this really looks like lots of the aikido stuff I trained as a kid- no pressure testing, compliant opponents, and no real efficacy to the techniques 😔😔

I was thinking the exact same thing and I had to check to see if anyone else was going to mention this. If the opponent wasn't being so complaint there no way most of these moves would work, prime example @2:19 when he sticks in the guy's armpit and he goes to the ground made my eyes roll so many times I thought I was a slot machine for a second LOL.
