If I'm ever a millionaire with money to spend, I want to pay Jesse, Garrison, Alan, Alex, and Adam a million dollars to come back and write another album. I swear to god I will do my best to bring them back. I will pay for any amount of gear that they need to record the best album they've ever written, and give them as much time as needed to write it. I think this this band was one of the most unique in the scene and I would like to see this happen again. Much love to everyone in this band.
I know this comment shouldn't be taken 100 percent seriously, but even if that would happen, it wouldn't be the same. What makes Impulse and Augment great is the passion. They left because they weren't feeling it anymore, they either wanted to pursue a separate career or didn't like the chemistry among the band. Stuff like that would tank the writing quality of the album you could pay them to make, doing it for money is what pop music is.
@@sarcasm4371 you strike a great point for sure. It's just such a shame that the band went the way it has gone now. The last two albums have been literal clones of each other. Without Alan to write the melodies and transitions/rythms and Garrison writing esoteric/metaphysical lyrics I feel it just has waaay less of an impact.

For years Ive been trying my best to love current Erra as much as I loved impulse/augment Erra.
Same but unfortunately it will never happen. Augment was literally a masterpiece and had the perfect balance of everything. Drift was the last decent album they made. Neon and the new self titled are meh.
this album took me in a direction that i didn't even know metal could take me. my favorite band!
In 2023 this is still one of the best metalcore albums ever made, just for the record

No I agree they are not even close to being the same. The new ep was such a huge downgrade from augment. Without garrison and Alan erra is just not erra. That's the harsh truth. At least this masterpiece of an album was made though, along with impulse.

2 years later this statement still holds true, my Augment CD hasn't left my car's CD player in the 5 years I've owned it lol
Listening to Augment made me officially decide that Erra is my favorite band. If I had ever gotten to the point that I wanted to with guitar, and now singing, Augment is exactly how I've wanted to sound in both aspects. At this point I don't think I'll ever reach that stage, but I can always dream.
I can't rate Augment high enough so I won't even bother; it's perfect.
What’s funny is that I read all these comments and everyone says exactly what I feel and think. This band hits different. It literally makes me emotional. I don’t think I’ve listened to another album more times.

Nah Garrison left on his own, he finished college and left to be a graphic designer. He did one last tour with them after he got his degree, then he peaced. It's a shame tho because once Alan and Garrison left, the band tanked in quality

Garrison's growls were absolutely MENTAL on this album! He is definitely the best harsh/growls vocalist of Erra. I do like JT but all his growls sound the same, while Garrison can do so many different things

I just found out about ERRA about 2 weeks ago (thanks to the 'Frozen Flame' tour line up). I cannot believe how good this album is. Never been so indulged with a whole metal album in quite some time. These guys are truly talented. I really like how this video explained everything so well. Wish you guys could do that more for other bands! ERRA is now currently my favorite band. Can't wait to see them live in 2 weeks! So pumped. I'm gonna go ham.

The one absolute thing I love about Erra is the emotion in the frontman's voice. At 2:40 on Pulse is a perfect example.

Alpha Seed, Pulse, Dreamwalkers, Rebirth. Those 4 songs hit me right in the feels man :'(

nothing will top this or impulse. nothing. i'm sorry. drift is VERY good and I love it, but nothing will ever touch this.
It's my favorite album from them too. Drift has some good ones, Neon has some solid tracks, but Augment is very cohesive. There's also nostalgia for me in this album.

Man I love ERRA. The only downer is hearing them refer to each other as "Musicians" instead of "friends", they sound like strangers in a band. One of the guitarist said said, "These dudes im in a band with". Kind of a bummer, though I love the music.
Umm, pretty sure they've known eachother since highschool, if not shortly thereafter, if they aren't friends by this point i'd say that defies friend logic.

Yeah without Garrison and Alan they aren't the real Erra anymore. Augment was an absolute masterpiece, and every release after has been such a huge downgrade. It's a crying shame.
