i don't want to grow up. i do. i don't. i don't know. i may not want to, but i'm grateful that i can.
not everyone has the chance to get older. the mere fact that we are alive together is a miracle!!! there are so many beautiful moments and opportunities we couldn’t even begin to imagine to look forward to in our lives. at least, that's what i'm trying to remind myself on the days that are more difficult.

I'm turning 19 tomorrow, and starting college a few days later and it feels so surreal. I'm still not ready to be an adult and start making these life altering decision. Hopefully if I just take things at my own pace and make decisions as the need arises, everything will turn out good. I'm excited to see what the next year will bring us

I don't want to grow up either- I feel like my classmates and friends all ache for that sensation of growing up, to be more adult like, to be more "cooler"- But I never saw the reason for it, or cared.

I’m turning 20 in a little over two weeks! I’ve been looking for internship opportunities here in my country, I started to drive myself to college, and a lot of changes have been happening. At the same time that I’m excited for all this new experiences, I also don’t want things to change (and have a little bit more time to be a teenager, to be honest). But as my therapist would say to me: life changes, it’s inevitable, and the best we can do is embrace them and grow with them! It’s a comforting way to think for me, and has helped me a lot to process everything 😊
i never thought about how scary growing up could be until now, it feels so alien. it is so scary to take of of your life, making big decisions..i dont feel like im ready for it, but was i ever ready? i wasnt ready to graduate to middle school, and i definitely wasnt ready for high school, when you think about it you can never be ready for life, and that's the charm. there are some friends you outgrow and make new ones same goes hobbies and your passions. what is important is to keep your family and morals close to you..live in the moment and let life go on

thank u for this vlog deborah,,, as someone who turned 18, 19, and now 20 during covid times i find it rlly important to talk about the fact that many of us don't feel connected with our new age, and are kinda stuck in our old pre-covid age. i really resonate with not feeling like an adult either, even though i am now, and it was really refreshing to hear you talk about it in this way.
You're not alone on this :") We might have a different age, different experiences but I'm going to my senior year of high school rn, yet I've felt like I've grown too fast and now I seem to be out of place everytime... It doesn't feel right to grow up, I don't want to grow up and i wish i could be like peter pan. I can relate so bad to this. My 20th birthday was on Wednesday, and before the day came I spent it crying because I didn’t want to grow older, and honestly I am really scare of my future… but this year was actually one of the best days of my life. I've just turned 41 and it really hits me at times how quickly the last 20 years and gone, and in another 20 I'll be 61! But it also makes me take a deep breath, grab my life (even the scary bits) and keep moving, keep laughing and keep living 🎉❤

it literally feels like since 2020 time just froze and so did my mindset tbh. like when covid started i was 16, just starting 11th grade, having all those important exams, and i couldn't meet with my friends and they closed down the schools for one and a half years, and idk, i've never felt the same since. still stuck at 16, feeling like i'm waiting for something to happen or like i forgot something, but no. it's so trippy and weird..

Hi! I’ve been watching since the pandemic and I understand the sort of woos of growing up and being considered an adult for the first time. The pandemic robbed me of my early 20s so now I’m in my late 20s feeling like I didn’t fully get that experience to be a late 20something. Anyways, I just want everyone to know that you’re still you no matter how old you get. Your interests don’t have to change if you don’t want them to. I'm turning 17 next month and I don't think im ready for it. Tbh 16 is the perfect age, I love being a 16 teenager girl, i just study, sleep and hang out with my friends.. 17 seems so seriously, I'll start think about applications and jobs, and everythink is going to be more adult to me. I guess that's the point of being alive... everything just gets more seriously during the years
I get that feeling! For me, I know what I want, but there's something about having to put in so much effort into big choices that just feels so pressuring and exhausting. I'm slowly trying to find ways to branch out and be content with my life now, while also finding a way to work towards a better future.

Definitely can relate, I turned 22 this past April and I've still been in that teen mindset and it still has yet to hit me that I'm actually not a child anymore but with that comes the realization that that's okay and everyone is really just a big kid and no one really knows what they're doing so I take my journey one day at a time and let things come and go as they please ❤ because if one things for certain, its always gonna work out for the better even if its not as you planned 🪽
