It must be alot of work to get this footage. U have to know the average train times. Get out there and get the shot. Each shot must take hours of preptime. Thank you for this.

Thank you! I’ve probably watched your video about 6 times and never realized I used the same title as your video.

Yessir it’s definitely something I would never imagine seeing. They have been doing SD40-2’s for a while now but just recently they have brought a SD70M on the lead of 313… it’s never going to be the same again.

They need to get rid of the bolted rail, and smooth out some section before they have cars rock and rolling off the rails

Yes I definitely agree that ONR needs to fix their rail but it’s 100% better than what it was 20 years ago. The Kap, KL, and a couple sections of the others had horrible track conditions. But thankfully ONR had really been working hard on fixing rail, bridges and upgrading their rail to CWR, It’s a very long process when you have about 600Miles of track to maintain.

Oh yes, ONR did a *lot* of work there, the rocking you see here is nothing compared to what it was in the '90s.
The train from Cochrane to Kap used to rate 2 GP9s, sometimes 3, and another train handled the run from Kap to Hearst, with 2 SW1200RS's. The run to Hearst would barely crawl along, and had *far* less cars than you see here. CN ran the line, back then.

One reason why some products cannot be shipped by rail. I Remer we got a railcar of product from Heinz back in the 80s at our distribution centre in Rouyn. They opened the boxcar door and it was all crushed.Closed the door after pictures were taken and sent it back to Leamington

I think they are welding rail where the northlander will run.
