I just love how much of Jack's personality it potrays. From the swooshy, heavy tune at the begining, having that 'just woke up drunk, what's going on?' vibe, to the inklings of trouble brewing in at 0:46, to the 'okay, what now?' at 1:25 and the light violin of ingenuity and wit of 1:39 and later, which no matter how many slip-ups, distractions and close calls to disappearing in the mids of the chaos around it, it always stays one step ahead of everything else. It's just- I have no words

This is what I love about Hans Zimmer: being able to use the same music (this is really just the same as 'He's A Pirate' and change it around just enough to change the whole atmosphere to heroic to drunken.
I'm so glad he's reprising the role for the sixth movie, I've loved pirates of the Caribbean since I was 8 years old...im 17 now and looking back this music plus him just being the iconic, chaotic make it up as you go along character is what hooked me. That drunken strutter, the iconic manorisms, the wit! He's just great 🤩 3:45 is my fav part 😁
One of my favorite songs after a good videogame. Lore wise, if Barbossa was the wolf of the seas, that would make Jack Sparrow the fox of the seas. I always love how Barbossa's pushy "take everything you can by seeing what works" attitude only partially contrasts Jack Sparrows "get away while you still can with what you have, and see what else you can get along the way" attitude. I tend to be more of a Sparrow myself tactically. Defensive, but only to stall them.
Just turn off the music in the game, and put this in the background. Sure, not AS good as it being the actual soundtrack (music changing for combat etc.), but better than nothing. On PC, you're probably able to even change the actual soundtrack, so it changes the when entering combat / etc. At least you can do it with some games, but it requires a bit of skill.
They were going to make one like that but Disney scuttled the project. They were also going to make a Dark Souls like game for Star Wars, but yet again, Disney destroyed the project by naming it "Not appropriate for younger children." (Disney is good, but I hate them sometimes."

Well they seem committed to rebooting the franchise. It won't do as well as the original trilogy of films. Johnny Depp was the glue that held these movie together.
From the beginning of the song, you follow a letter that leads you to a temple full of treasure. The temple has a giant statue in the middle. The statue's face falls off to reveal a hidden scroll at 1:40. As you read through the letter, you realize that the treasure you seek was never in the temple to begin with. At 2:00, the letter tells you that it is far off among several islands in the great sea. Cut to Jack Sparrow aboard his own ship, sailing for said islands because knows where the treasure is. At 2:50, you're running back to your ship and crew and telling them to get the ship ready and going. You're chasing down Sparrow. 3:15 - 5:17 - Sailing Montage. 5:20 to the end of the song, Sparrow has a sly grin on his face. End with Pirates of the Caribbean emblem.

I'm so glad he's reprising the role for the sixth movie, I've loved pirates of the Caribbean since I was 8 years old...im 17 now and looking back this music plus him just being the iconic, chaotic make it up as you go along character is what hooked me. That drunken strutter, the iconic manorisms, the wit! He's just great 🤩

One of my favorite songs after a good videogame. Lore wise, if Barbossa was the wolf of the seas, that would make Jack Sparrow the fox of the seas. I always love how Barbossa's pushy "take everything you can by seeing what works" attitude only partially contrasts Jack Sparrows "get away while you still can with what you have, and see what else you can get along the way" attitude. I tend to be more of a Sparrow myself tactically. Defensive, but only to stall them.

they need to make a more developed POTC game for consoles like AC: Black flag with these soundtracks = amazing
Just turn off the music in the game, and put this in the background. Sure, not AS good as it being the actual soundtrack (music changing for combat etc.), but better than nothing.
On PC, you're probably able to even change the actual soundtrack, so it changes the when entering combat / etc. At least you can do it with some games, but it requires a bit of skill.

There can be no Pirates of the Caribbean movie without CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow. Big fan of the franchise but don't think will watch POTC number 6 if Disney boots out Johnny Depp.
Well they seem committed to rebooting the franchise. It won't do as well as the original trilogy of films. Johnny Depp was the glue that held these movie together.

From the beginning of the song, you follow a letter that leads you to a temple full of treasure. The temple has a giant statue in the middle. The statue's face falls off to reveal a hidden scroll at 1:40. As you read through the letter, you realize that the treasure you seek was never in the temple to begin with. At 2:00, the letter tells you that it is far off among several islands in the great sea. Cut to Jack Sparrow aboard his own ship, sailing for said islands because knows where the treasure is. At 2:50, you're running back to your ship and crew and telling them to get the ship ready and going. You're chasing down Sparrow. 3:15 - 5:17 - Sailing Montage. 5:20 to the end of the song, Sparrow has a sly grin on his face. End with Pirates of the Caribbean emblem.
That would make for a great part of a film or some kind of POTC media.
