@steveo27545 It is a Takamine EF75 serial number 26, Got it in 2006. It's a really nice guitar. It is plugged in here and is picked up also somewhat by a shotgun microphone. They only made about 80-90 of these models.

@98jrk Lower the lowest (6th string) which is usually tuned to E, down to a D. The 4th string is ordinarily tuned to D, so you can just tune to that string, or just use an electronic tuner. All other strings besides the 6th string remain the same.

Great lesson. The guitar is very nice, what year and model # is it . The sound is nice to sounds like it is going to a amp. I have many acoustics my Ovation and my Takimine are the only two that work when you plug them up. Really like the tome yours has plus it is a 000 model I think Steveo
TANNERxDANxU, As Lance explained about his longer right nails, many guitarist do this and some even use an acrylic nail hardener, don't know if Lance does but I have tried the longer nails and couldn't quite get used to it. As a matter if fact, if you listen to earlier Marshall Tucker Bands tunes, lead guitarist and band founder Toy Caldwell used nothing but his thumb nail as a pick...and he was very good at it needless to say.
Sounds great but was a little difficult for me to follow I had to stop video hundreds of times ...I am a beginner. I didn't quite get the last little bit after the G chord, which strings you were picking. Thanks anyway :)

Great tutorial, I managed to get it after 2 days BUT how do you play the song AFTER the intro, I can only find TABS for the sing in standard tuning. Can you help Lance...?

Great tutorial Lance. RUclipsrs: I understand the need to slow things down if you're a beginner, but this guitar part was originally recorded by a Nashville guitarist. Increase your general knowledge of the instrument, music theory, and this style of playing using the vast free resources youtube has to offer instead of blaming the teacher. That's a backwards mentality.

If you don't do drop d then just put the capo on the fifth freat and play the chords C,Em,F, and G
