It’s hard to get heat into the tires. You come out of the pits at around 124 and by the time you start a lap they are down in the teens. Took 3 laps to get enough temp to push. It’s a tough place to race, but I will say, it feels like a 90s F1 car twitching around under the torque demand. It’s an adrenaline rush to hang on, but I’m like you. One race is enough this week…especially with the SR8 at Nurbs in Ringmeister this week!
This track is always pure chaos. So many bumps and unpredictable incidents happening I am scared to race on it. I did some hotlaps and managed a 1:03.718. But I probably won’t be able to hold this pace in a race
Regarding SR: The practice and qualifying sessions before the race count for SR too. They count less, but still count somewhat. If you had incidents in either of these sessions it'll affect your SR gain/loss at the end
Au contraire I'm so excited to be racing at Long Beach this week. It's a track I've missed with open wheel since IndyCar lost their license. Excited to race the IR18 on it again as well.
I started right in front of you, thought I had made it through the pile up unscathed until the very last car. Luckily only got small damage, but it still cost me 0.5s a lap.
I respect your optinion, but Open wheel on long beach is the most enjoyable experience. Many crash, but the driving is so cool. Keeping the car as close to the wall is so enjoyable
SR is a rolling average so every race you do drops off the older race that’s still being counted. It could be the race dropped was even cleaner than this one so your average went up despite the relatively clean race
Yeah i definitely agree they shouldnt race here, i think the motive was since indycar at the point of the calendar making still didnt have the license agreement back and they go to long beach usually, why not put a rather similar car there as a sort of replacement. I always had decent fun here with the indycar, but it also (at least from memory) felt a bit more compliant around here than the super formula car does. Nevertheless, its a bad circuit for this kinda racing, at least its fun to drive in and of itself
the same thing happened to my in lmp3 where I barely tagged someone in the hairpin and I half spun and only got a 0x, not even a 2x for loss of control. Also, nascar next gens are here next week :) I am also not excited haha at least those can take a beating
Sorry, but I don’t agree. F1 and Cart have had great races here. Also, as far as this race is concerned, the most carnage came on the front straight. That could happen at any track, and does, routinely.
That's true about crashing at the start however Long Beach just doesn't suit open wheel cars especially in the hands of average sim racers. Raced here enough times to see more than half of the field not make it to the end
@@stuffeyy I don’t think I have yet seen a super formula race that didn’t involve massive contact, frequently at the start in the front straight. But then again, the people I follow typically stay away from the more powerful formula cars for that very reason.

Long Beach was a good week.
I DNF'd my first 7 races. Then I got +500/600 iR in all next races. Lots of Top 5's. Very good.

if you go off in qualifying it counts towards your safety rating
