Watching this after knowing Charlie is gone, so sad. God bless you your love is evident. This beautiful animals know they are loved and they have found peace. Sending prayers , keep up the wonderful work.
I had a miniature donkey before I got my last horse which was a Thoroughbred ex-race horse. As soon as we turned out the horse (Rudy) into the pasture the donkey (Dickens) began chasing him! It was hilarious to see such a tall horse running from a little donkey!
Happy to know Anna will be introduced soon to the other horses, she's looking fantastic. Shout out to the person who gave the generous feed donation, truly awesome. Nice to see Charlie in the Christmas spirit and picked a tree Charlie Brown would like. 😊
All the horses are looking really well, I love to see their personalities coming out - they’re all such funny characters. The donkeys are hilarious too! Thank you for all the care and love you give all your animals, what wonderful support people are giving you through the amazing donations. Much love from the U.K. ❤️🇬🇧❤️
So sorry to hear about your kitty loss. It was the coyotes. They can be so brazen. We have them here in CA, and they come into the suburbs, and are responsible for more than half the missing cats, I'm certain. Sad.
I had a stroke which effected my left side. When walking my balance was so off that I continue to fall. I went to a Horse Therapy Farm in Battle Ground, WA. After 6 months of riding I'm happy to say I'm walking without a cane and steady on my feet.👍😃👏👏👏
That’s amazing! So glad to hear this and that you are walking and steady again! I can’t wait to get our program in place to help people in any way we can.
A shoutout to FREYA tolerating a rider on her back. I loved to see that her tail is longer now. Horses like her look really better when the tails are not docked. I also liked to watch her gentle way to touch you when you are petting Sophie. And I loved to see Charlie and Jack as "partners in crime". So glad all the horses are well. There are reels of other rescues showing pitiful draft horses which have to be lifted by their helpers to stand on their feet or to be euthanized because they have incurable health issues. Fingers crossed for you and your furry family! 🐞🍀🐞🍀🐞🍀🐞🍀🐞
I’m glad you don’t use pain bits in their mouths. People are programmed to believe the only way to control a horse is by seriously hurting their mouth. I had a young spirited Arabian and never needed a pain bit.
Julie, you guys are amazing. You can see the love in the animals. I'm so sorry to hear about the kittens. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your hard work. ❤ I know how to ride......
These horses are blessed. They seemed to thrive, and that they have peace now. I see that your pastures have some dung in it and something we do in our pastures that keeps the horses more protected from parasites is that we everyday (to not be overwhelmed) pick up the poo. That can later be used in your garden or such when it has "burned". It is a little thing that helps greatly not to transfer worm between horses and your garden thrive. This is not criticism, it is just a tip to keep pastures healthy and your garden too. Thank you for sharing, and thank you to the person sending you Alpha pro! What a great gift. 🙏
Tom is an opportunistic hunter and he was waiting to surprise the mouse when he emerged, giving him a myocardial infarction & then it's snacktime. No muss, no fuss & requires very little energy. As for Mike, he made an executive decision & remodeled his condo without a permit. A very minor detail. I would keep an eye on those shady horses. Always lookin cute & innocent while plotting a collaborative move to dispose of a pesky muzzle. The tree decorating was a "take that" to you caregivers. Thx for the video, it was thoroughly enjoyable!!! ✌️😹😹💞🐾🐾🐎🌲 (lil sad about the missing ones).
Just found you and your family February2023 . So thankful to see all your efforts and successes a good example to all mankind . Too bad the farmers responsible for neglecting these horses will never see your good work.
You have very beautiful property you’re very lucky. I’m very special to rescue these animals and take special care of them all. Thank you for sharing your videos. I love them.❤
Sad to hear about the kittens. All the critters are looking amazing as always. To think these guys were all so close to not being here anymore and now look at them. Julie you and Corey are absolute hero’s. I hope you have a wonderful Xmas and an even better New Year 🥰
You must consider a calendar! At 16:25 or so, the image there is amazing and I'm pretty sure there are 11 other amazing images of the horses around the farm!
Hi Julie, another great video. I LOVE 💕 your pink jacket! The horses are looking great, especially after their ‘day spa’ session. Well, Charlie certainly showed you what he thinks of his muzzle! 😂 It is fabulous news that he is tolerating the short grass. I’m sure he is pleased to be able to graze again. Anna, no doubt, will be pleased to join the herd and graze. Her introduction to the others should go very smoothly, given the amount of time she has now been at your place interacting with them. Though I have no doubt that Miss Aline will have to assert her dominance! 😂 She is definitely an alpha mare. I am very sorry to hear about your two little kitties. 😟 I have my fingers crossed they may still come home. Your farm is such a haven for the creatures. Thank you for your kindness and the great effort, to say nothing of expense, that you and Corey go to for these animals. I think a therapy pairing would be great for both the horses and the people that visit. Even being able to sit with, brush and talk to the horses will be great therapy. They don’t have to be ridden to be of benefit. And imagine all the extra love 💕 they will have lavished on them, once the people are not scared of their great size. Definitely sounds like a win-win to me. Finally, your Thanksgiving lunch looked awesome! While in Australia, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, I think it is a marvellous idea. I think we all need to be grateful, for whatever good things we have. Also we need to care for those with very little, just like you are doing with the horses. Take care and thanks for sharing your lives with us. 😀🦘🐨🇦🇺
I just want to tell you thank you so much for saving these horses. It breaks my heart that they were sent to the auction. They had to loose their homes becuz they were old. This is so sad. I don’t know why the Amish did that, although I kind of understand. This brings tears to my eyes. When I get an animal I keep it through to the end of it’s life. That’s just the way it is with me & what I try to do. They don’t really like having a lot of new owners or homes. The Humane Society says that when a cat goes to a shelter, their experience is similar to a child being put up for adoption. That’s why it’s important that people are responsible & committed to the long term relationships that animals need. It’s as hard for a cat to loose it’s home as it is a child they’ve said. Then think of how hard it is for a child. So this is what a cat can go through when loosing it’s home & family. Do you think it’d be any different for a dog? No. I don’t think it’d be any different for a dog. I think it may be even worse for them. Do you think it’d be different for a horse. No. I don’t think so. I think it could be very similar. They are all basically extended family members & I think they even see it that way. To me cats & dogs are just little people. Horses are just big little people. I think you get the point on what I mean. God watches us all & he sees what you did for these horses & is pleased. And so am I. Thank you again. GBU & your horses.
I couldn't agree more! We keep our animals till the end as well and when it coming to making the decision to say goodbye to them, we are there with them till the end and never leave their sides. None of our animals will ever be abandoned or surrendered! I worked in animals rescue when we lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and I saw some horrible things done to dogs. When they are abandoned at the shelter they go into depression because they don't know why you left them at the shelter. I can't imagine what it's like for a horse. We are glad we could save all these beautiful souls and hope to save more in 2023! Thank you for following our story, we truly appreciate your support!
😅 I've known horses to conspire to get each other out of blankets, rain sheets, and gates separating them from lush green pastures. They watch what we do more closely than we think.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours Also to all your animal Family. God Bless you for everything you’ve done for these Beautiful Horses ❤
I would really love to ride horses again, and I’m sure it would help me a lot with my physical disabilities. When I was first declared disabled the doctors didn’t recommend horseback riding, and said I probably wouldn’t be able to walk in 1-2 years. Because of their poor judgment I got rid of my horse, (& miniature donkey) and haven’t ridden since. I did buy a saddle, and tack a couple of years ago thinking that’d put me closer to getting another horse, but things didn’t work out for that.
There's something about happy older Belgian horses. The slow glide they have as they walk. As if if they haven't a care in the world and are willing to keep pace with their trusted human friends.
Thanks for the big update! So glad to see all the horses doing well. You take such great care of them! Excited about the therapy riding program!! After my spinal cord injury at the first round of rehab just before Corona I had therapy riding sessions. They did help tremendously - not only with my physical body but also a lot with my mindset and emotions. So it’s really amazing of you to go to this direction! Charly, Jack and the muzzle 😂 Glad he is doing fine without a muzzle at the moment. So sad to hear about the two kittens!😢 Those are amazing new scents for the soaps, I really wish shipping to Germany wouldn’t be so expensive 🙈 There are some scents I would absolutely love to try. And handmade soaps are such a great gift, too! Wishing you and your husband, and all of your animals a lovely holidays!
Good goal.....I like it. I'm 83 and live in my van with my service 🐕🦺 on scant social security in Titusville Florida. I'm an old horseman from another time...former stunt rider...used the preparation schooling for horses to learn the shenanigans on their backs are not going to hurt. I did this on some crisis horses...abused horses...did lots of grooming...very bonding.
hi from germany, compliments, the horses look great.diligence and love for horses make it possible . 😍🥰🤩❤❤❤ i would like to try your soap, uinfortunately i am in germany ( Translator )
I had an older , larger sized Shetland pony that took feeding time very seriously. I thought it would be cute one time to tease him with the feed bucket. To my surprise he reared up his hind leg, and kicked me! Ouch!
Happy Holidays and thanks for the updates. By the way, if you're in the market for riding helmets, Virginia Tech just released the results of their equestrian helmet tests and two of the top three helmets are under $60. Tuffrider Carbon Fiber ($58) got a 5-star rating.
❤❤❤Love you guys!! So heartwarming to see how you've helped these Drafts... Question, couldn't Charlie eat steamed hay??? Just wondering if that was possible with his condition.... I watch all the videos , and I get angry seeing how starved these poor horses come into the sale... Those OMISH need to be arrested and all animals taken from them... How do they get away with it?? I k ow not all, but it seems many... I've seen how horrible they treat dogs, too. Is anything being done to stop their abuse??, These GORGEOUS, HARD WORKING EQUINES are amazing and loving.. to see how hard they worked only to be starved and thrown away once they are injured or become too old to keep the arduous work that is forced upon them... I have cried several times seeing the condition, but it's just so awesome to see how much you love them and help them to be happy and healthy ... When Lucky had to be put downI lost it!! I think he was the one with the cancer on his eye... That was so hard to watch...you did your best.... ❤❤❤ we love you and those beautiful Drafts... One day im.going to make an appointment to come and meet you And the horses..
No Charlie can’t eat any hay but we have discovered after this video that he has been ok eating fresh pasture grass. We are so happy that he is able to eat grass. We believe he was just taking in too much hay all at once and not chewing it because of his bad teeth. Eating pasture grass he can only take small bites. The Amish live by different rules I guess…no one can seem to hold them accountable. There is an act passing through congress called the safe act that would end auctions houses. If you are in the US reach out and write to your local congressperson. I don’t talk about controversial things in my videos because I don’t want my channel taken down. Thank you so much for watching and we hope to see you some day out here at the farm!
WE have a question: Generally, how long does it take (1) person to brush (1) of these beautiful horses? And WHY CAN T YOU PLACE ALL THE CATS IN THE BARN AND CLOSE IT AT NIGHT?????
It actually doesn’t take that long since I try and brush them every other day. Maybe an hour or so to brush them all. The cats…we do lock the barn down at night but the runs for the horses are open so the cats roam out that way under the pipe fencing.
In this unsettling world it is heartwarming to see you reach out and rescue these giants who worked all their lives and now have a chance to recover, rehabilitate and enjoy "retirement". I enjoy your videos very much but you do something that drives professional videographers nuts and that is shooting in portrait mode. Please, turn your smart phone on its side and use landscape mode.
Hello Julie & Corey I am so very Happy Someone was so Very Kind For 60 bags 👍👍❤️ Secret Santa 🎄❤️ Well I am So sad for your pretty cats,, can you kill coyotes ? to me they are only are mad 😡 animals that’s my opinion. Jack and Charlie Are best friends 😂😂😂 I hope it wasn’t too Much trouble going from balls of hay to squares hopefully the goats or donkeys can eat it. Will you be getting the horses winter blankets? Or do you know what size they would wear ? Well I would like to Wish you Both a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 & A very Blessed New Year 🎄🎄🎄🎄🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
You can kill the coyotes and I heard shots the other day, so my guess is the neighbors who have cattle took care of them. The horses have really thick coats so our vet recommended not putting blankets on them. They can regulate temperature and if they need to get out of the wind they have access to a lean to and the barn. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...Cory and I ended the year with the flu! But we are on the mend finally and I have a new video uploading as we speak!
Really admire what you's are doing with saving animals from the slaughter house, well done but on the coyote verse kitten problem do your donkeys have access to the outside at night ? I remember reading that donkeys will keep coyotes away from there territory, they make great guard dogs.
You do such an awesome job. Thank you for all you do for the horses. I have a question. Do you ever try giving the horses commands using some of the Pennsylvania Dutch language? I dont know any I would have to look it up. I do know if they were used as logging horses they would know ha and ghee I believe that's left and right. I wont take anymore of your time. I was just watching and listening to what you wanted to do with them. And I think that's great. I just was thinking how u would communicate with them.
Sorry it took so long to respond…we did watch some videos on commands. They respond to “ho” to stop and if you “click” they go forward. Someone also said try Dutch or German commands. LOL guess I need to take some classes 🤣 thank you for the comment. I will definitely try and figure out what language they know.
I clicked on this to find out about Charlie. How many minutes of chit chat before that? It's certainly nice that you put the chapters in, but in which chapter did the TITLE OF YOUR VIDEO take place?
I really don’t know a lot about it, but I wonder if the longer strides of a draft horse would be helpful for someone with physical disabilities. It seems it’d be ok for adults, but I’m not sure about children, or smaller people.
Charlie and his co conspirator getting that muzzle off, really made me smile. Cheeky lads the pair of them😍
I know! Crazy right! I didn't think it would be something Jack would do!
Watching this after knowing Charlie is gone, so sad. God bless you your love is evident. This beautiful animals know they are loved and they have found peace. Sending prayers , keep up the wonderful work.
All the horses are looking great! They have truly been blessed having you and your husband rescue them. God Bless you
Thank you! We appreciate your support!
It’s good to see video of them just being horses, a little mischief and their personalities shown. It’s a affirmation to their health. ❤😊
I had a miniature donkey before I got my last horse which was a Thoroughbred ex-race horse. As soon as we turned out the horse (Rudy) into the pasture the donkey (Dickens) began chasing him! It was hilarious to see such a tall horse running from a little donkey!

Fletcher Farm is so deserving of the feed donation. :)) 🐎🐴🐎
All the horses are looking really well, I love to see their personalities coming out - they’re all such funny characters. The donkeys are hilarious too! Thank you for all the care and love you give all your animals, what wonderful support people are giving you through the amazing donations. Much love from the U.K. ❤️🇬🇧❤️
You can really tell how much attention you’re giving the horses!! Their coats are looking so pretty!!
Giving Charlie a chance to be a horse grazing in pasture. That is so special. You people are so wonderful.
Since Freya and Charlie can't bang a tin cup on the rails, they are kicking the rails! 😂
The person that made the incredible donation is wonderful ! Thank you so much. 👏👏👏💜
We agree! Thank you so much!
Anna’s story is just so moving and all the animals have found a wonderful home
Your horses are just so beautiful. Thank you for caring for these wonderful horses. ❤️
You are so kind, thank you for watching!
FANTASTIC change to these traumatised horses THANK YOU ❤❤❤
So sorry to hear about your kitty loss. It was the coyotes. They can be so brazen. We have them here in CA, and they come into the suburbs, and are responsible for more than half the missing cats, I'm certain. Sad.
I love seeing this big hardworking creatures enjoying their best, chillest well deserved life ❤
Thank you! We are so glad we can give them the life they deserve.
Thank you Charlie, your Christmas tree had me laughing out loud.
He is so funny! I'm glad he made you laugh, he makes us laugh everyday!

Anna looking great. Thanks so much for caring for these lovely horses.
So grateful for all you do for these horses retirement. I am so happy to watch your videos!
Thank you! We appreciate your support.
I had a stroke which effected my left side. When walking my balance was so off that I continue to fall. I went to a Horse Therapy Farm in Battle Ground, WA. After 6 months of riding I'm happy to say I'm walking without a cane and steady on my feet.👍😃👏👏👏

I read "one of the days that I brushed" about 20 times before I heard the rest of it. That's not your fault, but it is maddening.
Is that in the captions? RUclips creates those but I’ll look to see if I can fix it. Thanks for letting me know

Maybe set up an Amazon Wishlist so people can send you stuff you need
Maybe horse blankets?
I have had so many requests for a wish list. I will see what I can do.
Our horses winter coats are so thick they don’t need blankets. Anna sweats when it’s above 40.

❤❤❤ we love you and those beautiful Drafts...
One day im.going to make an appointment to come and meet you
And the horses..
I missed out knowing the average age of these sweethearts.
The horses? They are between 15-18 is what they told us. Our vet also said this is probably correct because of the condition of their teeth.
Hello Julie & Corey I am so very Happy Someone was so Very Kind For 60 bags 👍👍❤️ Secret Santa 🎄❤️
Well I am So sad for your pretty cats,, can you kill coyotes ? to me they are only are mad 😡 animals that’s my opinion.
Jack and Charlie Are best friends 😂😂😂
I hope it wasn’t too Much trouble going from balls of hay to squares hopefully the goats or donkeys can eat it.

Any chiropractic being done on the horses??
Square bale vs round bale ????
Where’s Amara?
Why is Charlie in a muzzle?
😁😄😃😀
I understand the need for grazing muzzles but do not blame a horse for “removing” one. How frustrating!
❤❤❤great update always thankful for good updates❣️❣️🫶🙏🏻❤️🩹🙏🏻❤️
You are so welcome, thank you for watching.
