Hey PeterJ! I do not feel like a young whipper snapper but I'll take your word for it 🤣👍. Thank you for leaving great comments, always look forward to reading them😊
My goal at this point in life is to have no goals and it sure is a nice change of pace. I like that album a lot better than the guardhouse boxes. With this book you can enjoy seeing the bars. Happy Belated Birthday my friend GD
Well GD, you deserve a break after a long and successful career! Many do not have a chance to retire or at least retire well. Appreciate the B day wishes, thank you 😊

You know, I think it's neat you have that memory of these types of bars when they were new, pretty cool! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated 😊👍
Very nice bars and book!! Probably shouldn’t have watched this as my guardhouse box collection continues to grow. I was fortunate enough to pick up more bars yesterday. Galaxy mintage first day of winter, vintage capital g and a mint eagle bar, w h foster eagle bar and a couple Madison mint Halloween bars. Good score in my opinion!
Great score really, nice pick ups! That's a good haul of bars. I'll need to hit up more coin stores soon and hunt down some more bars. I have some saved for another video but then, I'll be out. Keep stacking!

Thank you for the B day wishes my friend! It's an interesting time to hold silver and gold. I must admit, I enjoyed 23.00 silver and with silver going up so high it's harder to stack. We all knew this could happen because silver has been so undervalued for so long.
I had to go back in time to watch this fun episode. I’m with you on the landscape for the album. My rule is that at least one side of any bar going into my album must be landscape. Some cool bars added to your album. I’m relieved to notice that your album has similar imperfections surrounding the openings for the bars. I’m trying to prevent the spine from splitting…not an easy task. Nicely done, as always, my friend 👊
No no nooo, I refuse to watch this... I refuse to watch this... I REFUSE to WATCH this! Too late... looks like I'm gonna have to find a Whitman album soon LOL 😂
What a cool book!! That looks like it would store better from a size standpoint. Cool bars!! Never had a look at a Madison mint in person! Really like the capitol one!! How cool would it be to have a 50 state bar collection!! That green Engelhard is AMAZING!!! Really Cool!
Glad you like the album! I think it's pretty neat as well but that is a lot of landscape variety bars to find, lol! It's funny that the only bar I have from that 50 State collection is Wisconsin and that's the State the album came from.
Oooh wow, a stacking distraction. That is a tough question! I’ll have to really think about this one. Love the toned Engelhard and the Madison mints fit! I’m kicking around some also
Madison Mint has a lot of great bars, love what they did back in the day! Your distraction might be pouring your silver artwork. Great job you are doing on that, keep it up👍👍😊

I could get behind one of those books more than the guardhouse box. I’ll have to keep my eye out for one of those. I need to go to another coin show. Great video Silver Struck
I really don't have any stacking distractions. Okay, I will admit that when I come across certain things like Prospector rounds, Engelhard 1 ounce bars, or AMark trapezoid 1 ounce bars, I'll buy those without the intent of ever selling them. However, that happens so infrequently (i.e. maybe once or twice a year), I don't really consider it a distraction. For my true distractions, I have a strategy to deal with them. I've done something very clever. I found this channel on RUclips called "Silver Struck" along with a few others, and I watch those channels to get my "Stacking Distraction" fix. Once I feel the massive endorphin release that these channels provide, I just feel all of the desire, FOMO, and envy leaving my body. It works really well. 🤣😂🤪😜 That's a great old collection book! I've never seen that particular type of album, and every bar was a stunner! Great stuff! Oh, and belated Happy Birthday! I was born in '77, so I guess I can officially call you old man. 😂😆 Anyway, maybe I'll take note of that and try to remember for next year. I hope you had a great birthday, despite your advanced age. Let me know if you need a walker, cuz I'd be willing to donate it cheap. 😉 I shouldn't joke. You'll probably end up outliving me. Anyway, great video! Take care & keep stacking!
Sorry for the late reply my friend! Old man!!!...you and I are younger than the bulk of the people watching Silver Struck videos! I was a even called whipper snapper in the comment section🤣🤣👍, Thank you for the birthday wishes. Appreciate the compliments and super glad you and others enjoy the content I post. This Dec will be 4 years on YT for me- crazy.
I gave Emerald one of those Whitman albums with an Engelhard in it. Love the toning on that trade unit bar. The toning on that Engelhard looks similar to the ones I have. I think it's natural toning.
The vintage bars continue to get hotter and harder to find. I'm lucky in the fact that I started to collect them in 09. I have two Dansco albums for bars, one is still sealed. Dansco made both vertical and horizontal versions of the albums......both of which are hard to find. That old Whitman album is sweet, you never see those for the bars. Good start to the album....... Engelhards are a good problem to have! 👍
I really wanted the Dansco alums! Like you said, very hard to find. When I walk into a coin shop, the first thing I look for are the albums to see if they have one. I think it's great you have been collecting since 09'- the hunting must have been great back then.
The hunting was definitely good back then. (Almost as good as the find itself) As silver started its bull run in 09, more silver bullion came out of the woodwork and was sold to different shops.....who were seeing more buyers like myself that were bullish. Coin dealers at coin & antique shows were busier than they'd ever been from 2010-4/2011 too. Each week I would make my rounds, sometimes covering 3 counties, and each time I'd score some scarce items.......the best of which were two 1 oz Coca Cola art bars for the Youngstown plant. There's "the old mill" on them......a nice looking bar even if you don't care for the Coke bars. I didn't know what they were worth, so I talked to a fellow collector online who had Archie Kidd's books on silver art bars....turns out they only made 200 of them. I put one on eBay and traded the other to him for helping me out and shooting me straight. Things definitely cooled off from 2012-2018, but I still found some good bars.....just not at the pace that I was when silver was rising. Fast forward to 2024 and I occasionally find some of the more common vintage art bars, (a lot of holiday themed bars) but once in a while a scarce bar turns up..... they're still out there in old collections that come to light.....usually after kids inherit them and turn them in. Last year I talked to an older gentleman that had a couple hundred 1 oz Engelhard bars that he sealed in his walls back in the 1980's.........he also had 5 & 10 oz bars too. He didn't have kids and was thinking about selling them. Can you imagine being the LCS when those walk in the door? 🤤
I said it before, and I'll say it again. I personally would dip those Englehards. But that's just me 🙄 My stacking distraction has to be coins with Dragons 🐉 on them.
