Wrong it's sand dumbass it will fill itself back in al.ost instantly...deck jokeys telling life long fishermen there wrong is just astonishing...stop wasting good air n stop breathing already
@@samking9798 Sure dredging is bad, but there seriously is a big difference between commercial dredges and private ones. While this dredge will cause damage, its not permanent and will heal rather quickly (That changes if you hit a coral reef, which will take decades to centuries).
Alright this guy didn't invent anything it's called a hand drag ppl have bin using them for a CPL hundred years now plus he doesn't even know how too use it properly...smh most ppl should never b given a camera
If anybody thinks what good old Kev is doing is any good and that is dredging is any good. Here in NZ the scallop dredging 10 years latter has destroyed just about all the scallop beds in the north Island to the point we are no longer allowed to dive for them or even take them, the south island also has lost many scallops beds thanks to commercial dredging and far to many recreational people like good ole Kev here that are just plan ignorant to what they are doing. Unfortunatley we have a Fishery ministry that is so pro commercial they will sit back and watch the commercial fishing industry of clean green NZ bottom trawel the hell out of our coast and our fisheries with many species in trouble with scallops and crayfish in serious danger of disappearing from our coast.
could you put more than one of these on a single line?
Any chance that design would work with riveted folded-sheet?
Nice!
I heard some people say that dredging can hurt the seabed, is that true?
+Michel Stronguin yeah it beats them up pretty bad
Can you only tow in sand with this ? Rocky areas for other shellfish?
That is a tiny dredge and makes tiny lines and little damage. Do you have any idea what commercial dredges are like?-CD
This is what iv got, thanks to Richard Kemp
awesome kev!!!
Anyone want to sell their one in Auckland?
It works well but is a destructive way to fish just like trawling with nets is
destroys the seabed so that no1 else can enjoy it
Ah yes I see the seabed here is made of sand absolutely beautiful
Enrico Ziegler your wrong

Kev, do you know how bad that is on the marine life and sea beds? You're driving a bulldozer through the ocean floor.
Sam king then don't eat, do you have a better way?
@@jamesmcnaughton5092 yes absolutely - commercial diving. this should be banned as it isn't sustainable.
@@jamesmcnaughton5092 dredging destroyed port phillip bay and now there is hardly anything left.
