Child-Led Learning Inspired by Julie Bogart's The Brave Learner

The Parenting Junkie shows us how to do child led learning. In her book, The Brave Learner, Julie Bogart explains that you can learn everything through anything. Even if you are not homeschooling you can still inspire your child with child-led learning at home. Unschooling families can still apply this to help follow their child’s interest without using a formal curriculum. Whether you choose to unschool, homeschool, or send your child to a traditional school this video will inspire you to follow your child’s lead wherever possible when inspiring their learning.

At what age do unschoolers learn to Read-Write and basic Math?

Depends on when they want to. A child will eventually show interest in reading if read to enough/ and or if you write their stories down for them enough. Anywhere between 3-9. Basic math comes with intentional play with kids at early age. My 1st son surprised me and learned both by age 4 and I didn’t feel like I really tried teaching him.
