Its actually kind of wild watching Verix play Nago- he has a style *completely* unlike hotashi, makes nago look like an entirely different character. It's pretty neat. Slash is amazing too, ofc.

I've never really played any fighting games before, but after recently deciding to start for real with GGS, I can't describe how awesome it is to understand what's going on and know what plays are happening BECAUSE I studied up in game. Looking to main May for a start so I am taking notes lol

As a May player I’ve always wondered why slash does a lot of 5p-5k as a block string. It isn’t a frame trap and a frame trap from 5p if he decides to do it isn’t very rewarding ( like 5p-6p or 5p delay 5p ) he even does it vs chars with crazy reward off their 5 framers like nago and HC

Because if they start mashing, he would respond with 5p -> delayed 5p which will frame trap. It's the same reason why some people do C.S into C.S, if they mash, you frame trap. At least that's how I see it.

@@MobyDrip yeah I can see that being really good vs most characters, but against HC and nago it just feels super risky and not rewarding. I guess he’s just ok with it since that string has alot of options

hi, is there a motivation at doing the dashing rc like the one at 2:23?

up rc pushes the enemy higher into the air, this allows slash to perform combos that are more burst safe and can carry nago over the wall more easily.
