Wow! So many shaker cards! Just when I think there's not going to be any more, you make 2-3 more. Anyone should feel privileged to get one of your cards with all the detail you put into them. You are an amazing card maker.
That Queen and Co. kit looks great. Your cards turned out beautifully! You are a card making machine! It would take me weeks to make 29 cards! The most I made in one sitting was 21, and they were from kits where basically all I had to do was put them together. Still, it took me 8 hours. You really impress me and inspire me. I really love that Spooky die and the Trick or Treat die! But, all the cards turned out great, and who doesn’t love a shaker card!!! ❤️
Carol Hodges Aw, thank you! Queen & Company makes such fun kits. There hasn’t been one yet that I haven’t enjoyed. I’ve been making cards this way for many, many years. Plus using card sketches for inspiration is very helpful. I generally take 2-3 days to finish a 6x6 paper pad. 😊
My favourite is the purple witches shaker hats with the purple flower on them. I love this collection, and you have done it proud! It was like watching a mum tuck their little ones up for the night, the way you snuggle the papers into place. Great job. 👍 and thank you. 🌹Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺
Rosanne Allbon Aw, you’re re always so kind and supportive. I really appreciate it. 💖 I really enjoyed creating all of the Halloween cards using this cute kit. 😊
I just love watching your videos. I learn something new each time, even if I've already watched a video multiple times lol. I am watching this one again because, as soon as I get home from taking my daughter to the doctor, I'm going to FINALLY try my hand at creating a Queen & Co shaker with this same kit. I think this kit is absolutely adorable! I'm going to make a shaker embellishment to go on the front of an altered notebook.
MetalScrappinChick Aw, thank you! I appreciate your kindness. Yay for trying out a Queen & Company shaker. They make it so easy with their precut foam and acetate. I hope you are enjoying this adorable kit. 😊💖
These are so adorable. I just knew this video was going to up the temptation to buy this kit and I was right. So much cuteness! I think my favorites are the "Spooky" ones where you turned to "Os" into eyes. So creative. I never would have thought of it, but seeing it done, it's so obvious. :D
So cute. I love the half witch. I cant remember if I told you but I love the music you choose for your videos. I suffer from chronic pain and anxiety so crafting is my escape. Some videos I have to shut off the volume just to watch the videos because the music choices raise my anxiety. You have a great channel and I always enjoy the videos.
Sherry Somers I love her music choices, too. I’ve only had to turn the volume down a few times. My problem is that it relaxes me and I tend to fall asleep and not see her great ideas!
Sherry Somers Aw, thank you! I’m sorry to hear about your health. Big hugs to you. 💕 I’m very fussy about the music I use. There are lots of royalty and copyright free music available, but most is rather obnoxious. In my opinion. Lol! I also pay a license to use music from one of the artists. That’s why I tend to repeat the same songs from one 6x6 video to another. I’m happy the music choices don’t cause you any additional stress. 🙂
Once again simply amazing! Have your ever done a Simple Stories tutorial? Would love to see your ideas with their line of papers. I have so much of their paper and would love to make cards to donate.
Renee Keeney Thank you! Hmmm, I don’t think I have used a Simple Stories paper pad. Maybe I’ll see what they have available. Thanks for the suggestion. 😊
OMG Kristie! I just love your videos and your style! I purchased the Hocus Pocus kit weeks ago, it finally arrived last week, I'm surprised at how much fun I'm having! Yesterday I woke up at 4:00 am excited to try some different ideas! Then, to find your video doing the whole collection right here! Wow! Now I'm really jazzed! Quit work early so I could watch your video. I didn't know there were outline dies for the set! I'm definitely going to have to check those out, but first... gotta watch your video! :) Ha! Just saw that you used an acrylic stamp block to "press" on the top frame piece! Brilliant! I was just wondering yesterday if I should use a book or something! :) Also, I'm trying to find where it tells me what the cool foil tape is and where I can find it?
Milly Reese Aw, thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. Queen & Company makes such fun kits. I always enjoy using them. The outline dies are awesome. They are fairly new so only the most recently released kits have them as an option. Yes, I use an acrylic block to hold everything in place while the glue dries. It’s easy to clean and always close by. Lol! The foil is sold by Queen & Company. I have a link in the description box. It’s super easy to use since it adheres to anything sticky. 🙂
teri serrano Thank you! I appreciate your kindness. This kit is so much fun. 🙂 The outline dies are not required, but I absolutely love them. They cut out the perfect background piece for the shakers. That way you can choose a different paper to go behind your shaker verses what pattern paper is on the card. For example, on my first broomstick card, I didn’t want the black star paper showing through the broom shaker. I used the outline die to cut out the yellow striped paper and used that as the background for my shaker. You can still fussy cut the outlines without the dies. But the dies make it so easy. Another use is that you can cut your own acetate pieces. I hope my explanation makes sense. 💖
@@KristieMarcotte Thank you! I did go ahead and order before reading your reply, and now, having read your reply, am happy I did. I see what you mean and am anxious to get my order and play!! Thank you again😊
wow, you really have perfected the matting and layering! :O I love the look, but am struggling with the measurements to have those fine black frames around the patterned paper pieces...
TheNilje Thank you! It’s a bit of crafty OCD to get the layers straight and even. 😂 Generally I add 1/8” for all the matted layers. If you prefer a thicker matting, you could add 1/4”.
Out of all the Halloween cards I've seen made and the papers for some reason I really like this kit. The gems, beads, stars, swirls and the dies from the witches shoes, dress bottom, hat, and broom, I just love the overall fun Halloween theme that you can have making cards. You always make the nicest cards Kristie! Have you ever gotten any comments from the facilities residents that you donate your cards too? ( Other than a Thank You!)
Roxanne Tucker Thank you! Queen & Company always puts together such fun kits. I really liked this Halloween set, especially since it’s not a scary kit. I did receive a card from the daughter of one of the retirement home residents. She was very kind and thanked me for the cards I had given to her mother. I only sign my first name and don’t leave any contact info on my cards. I’m not looking for recognition. I just want to make people smile and feel loved.
Love the cars! Such a cool kit❤️. I don’t understand the reason for the outline die for transparencies. Love the shaker elements too. Does Penny like Halloween? TFS. Also that broom and witch skirt with feet are my favorites 👻👻
Ella Conner Thank you! It really is such a fun Halloween kit. The outline dies are fairly new. I use them to cut out the background for each shaker card. Before outline dies, I used to cut out the die cuts twice and piece one together to go behind the shaker, unless I wanted the background paper to show through the die. Hope that makes sense. You can also use the outline dies to cut out your own acetate pieces. Then you’d use the regular dies to cut out the foam pieces. But I find it easier to just buy the foam and acetate refills. Yes, Penny loves Halloween. I think she’s going as a cat. Again. Lol!
Kristie Marcotte ok I understand now, thanks. I’m glad you say it’s easier to buy the extra foam pieces cuz when I went to a class by Queen &Co they said that cutting the foam is tricky. I bet Penny will be a cute cat for sure!
Peggy Kern Thank you! The birthday squares die is from Queen & Company. It’s part of their BirthdaySquares bundle kit. (I have a link for the die in the description box.) I love using it with the small leftover scraps. 😊
@@KristieMarcotte I'm getting old. I had looked through all the links and didn't see it the first time. Thank you for telling me which one it was. I looked up the bundle and found that it was not only on sale but I could also got the Halloween sequin set for free. Too good to pass up. Thanks for the link and I hope it helps you out some because I really like your videos and how you incorporate the sketches in what you do.
Peggy Kern You are very welcome. I tend to use quite a variety of supplies, so my product list gets a bit long. Yay for the kit being on sale and for getting free sequins. Queen & Company has wonderful products. I always enjoy using them. Happy crafting to you! 🌸
Stumbled across this video! Your cards are cute, but as a new crafter there is no way that I learned anything. You didn't say what that paper was that had a diagram on, your video was too fast for a newbie. Do you have any that actually teach and is in real time so we can learn what your doing? Thank you!
Thank you, Susan! This video was made last year. I share 6x6 videos where I show the full process from start to finish while I turn a paper pad into cards. They are some of my most popular videos. For all my newer Queen & Company videos, I have slowed down the video and do a full voiceover as I explain how I make my cards. This is the way I will be doing all future Queen & Company videos.

Crafting and Relaxing The stars are so lovely. I want a full jar of every color. Lol! 💖

Such creative colour combinations. this was a very labour intensive project. It's all in the details and I loved them all.
