I have been following this channel for over 6 months +, I have made notes and watched the content multiple times and tried to understand what is being presented as I am not a native Arabic speaker. I everything presented resonates with me and concurs with my understanding However I am not a scholar and want the scholars to help me understand and validate what has been presented i am shocked there has been no equivalent counter argument at the same level of intellectual rigour. Where are the defenders? It's embarrassing none of the youtube stars have commented. Silence .....silence. You tube scholars pls do your duty and save me and others from misguidance. Or alternatively grow a backbone and state your position
@ Ahamar Rifat All scholars, past and present, have repeatedly told us that engaging the Quran to understand the Quran is the best possible way to understand the Quran. It is the best act of devotion! I assure you, my brother (or sister): They have no counter-argument! When Allahh provides his Bayyinaat (instruments to extract evidence from the Quran), all others become speechless! This is what Allahh promised us in Aya 78:38! The scholars who contacted me in private have no way to deny what we are sharing of the Marvelous Quran! They are learning, I assure you! They all know about the challenges we Muslims have faced because of the erroneous claims made by Tafseer books (and other books), but no scholar has provided the solutions that we provide on this channel, by the grace and permission of Allahh! What do you expect them to say? What do you expect them to do with regards to their prior (erroneous) claims and their followers? May Allahh sustain us with 'Reeh' (victorious streaks) from him, and may Allahh open the hearts and minds of our Ummah and our leaders, to see how much of a merciful blessing we are granted at this point in our history!
What I want to know is whether the famous hadith of the Prophet salallahu 'alaihi wasallam, about BOTH Quran and the Traditions of Prophet Muhammad upon him be peace, are important in any interpretation of the Quran - does this hold any meaning for Dr.Hani Atchan? The Prophet had said that any personal interpretation of the Quran is haram. A very well known hadith that any Muslim knows. And what about the very wonderfully amazing personalities in Islam that even non-Muslims are in awe of....Sheikh al Akbar Muhyiddeen Ibn Arabi or Sheikh al Imam al Ghazali may Allah bless their souls, who are the pious intellectuals heavy weights in Islam, are we now to sweep them into oblivion because we now have an interpretation that suddenly comes into the fore that encourages Muslims to "forget the IBNs" ( Hani Atchan says!)...I was really saddened and not least alarmed. This means sweeping 1444 years of Islamic Civilisation into the dustbin. What??
@ Sabrina Said Let's have a conversation, shall we? If there is clear evidence from the Quran that contradicts a hadeeth, which one would you give priority to? If there is provable contradiction, wouldn't you then agree that such Hadeeth cannot be from the beloved SAWS? Now... Apply the same principle to any report about any human being... If the Quran provides us clear evidence, then wouldn't you also give priority to the Quran? Another question to you: Why would you accuse me of giving my personal opinion, when everything I say is backed by direct evidence from the Quran? One last question: When you read the books of Tafseer (as I am sure you have read them), and you find that they all rely on the opinion of this person or that person, without any direct Quranic evidence, then wouldn't that be cause for you to dismiss their opinions? Or that claim about "personal opinions" no longer applies to them? And finally: Did you know that we have hundreds of Tafseer, starting with the earliest of At-Tabari (who dies 300 years after our beloved SAWS), and they all conflict with each other in so many subjects? In other words, all these Imams did not apply the claim you are making about "personal opinion"... So again, please watch a few videos on the methodology playlist so that you learn the facts instead of simply reacting without facts. Thank you

I just cannot believe for example, that 1000 years of Muslim India and 750 years of Muslim Spain was based on misinterpretations of the Glorious Quran....
@@sabrinasaid204 if you follow all the videos you will see that Dr hany is not sweeping away all previous work he is saying the new info can validate or repudiate traditional info. It's a case of perspective, historical knowledge can help inform, but the Quran must be the foundational source for our deen. We have no other way of validating non quranic sources. I am going to trust Allah's words over any human. At the end of the day your akhira is at stake. I can say I did not associate partners with Allah's words if I stick to the Quran.

Alhamdulillah, I came to this gem of a video after sometime. I remember how it affected me the first time I watched it. The disclosure that the Prophets were not born perfect was such a phenomenal disclosure. I remember during my university days, there was a senior who left Islam because if our fate is already decided, then what's the point. There were arguments to convince him later however, they try to teach us that not only the Prophets but the companions were perfect and we can never achieve their level and hence, we have to learn through them. We cannot reach Allah without them. And one particular group was propagating the necessity of Silsilah for us to be sure that we are connected with our beloved. And they extend this quality to some of the predecessors too. This disclosure respects our intellect, it is a message of hope that also empowers us to connect with Allah directly. Moreover, grounded in reality as everyone is prone to make mistakes. But it is important that we make a consistent and persistent effort to come back to the Quran itself. Alhamdulillah! This disclosure is such a game changer for our paradigm. Because the way I view the Quran completely changed.

The first time I watched this, I'm sad to say there was nothing.....after some reflection alhamdulillah, things lit up. The three verses from 38:30 to 38:33 fleshed out the character of Sulayman (AS) so much so that he almost pops out of the book, more than any number of "stories" of him could do. Someone whom we can actually relate to, even though he was a prophet and a king. I am amazed at how much content and depth of meaning are in these Saafinat, truly beautiful and inspirational ayats. As you said just like in earlier videos, the "Dzikra" moments just resonates everytime it hits. I'm a non native Arabic & English speaker so I might not be able to comprehend it fully yet, but these "Dzikra" moments fuel me to learn even more. One question brother, how does one protect ourselves from "Kibr" since I'm afraid when I comprehend these "Jannat" through understanding the layers of understanding and the script, while my fellow brothers and sisters don't grasp it. I'm filled with sadness, anger, and frustration. And I'm afraid that I'm feeling superiority (Kibr) compared to them and Allah will block me from entering the "Jannat" (be it the quranic or the heaven in afterlife) those who have a tiny speck of "Kibr" in their heart. Thank you brother, may Allah reward you for being the messenger, conveying the words with their proper context with the help of Abrahamic Locution.

Keep that gateway locked from your side. Detach yourself from any thought that YOU may guide them. Guidance belongs only to Allahh. I do not understand Arabic. I read translations. I will not ask about Salah. I will tell you one thing though. During lockdown , I was so busy , looking after a baby, disinfecting everything from items to floor to ceiling. I didn’t feel good mumbling my prayers in a rush so I used to pray when everything was done and it was quiet late in the night and honestly it felt really refreshing and rewarding.

Truly Surah Saad: 36 (46:41 minutes) guarantees that whoever is connected with Allah, Allah will send on his way the victorious streak. Thus there is no need to challenge anyone, when the challenge is coming from Allah himself. Our job is to submit and connect with him, acquire guidance from his book and just convey the message calmly. It is not on us who accepts it and who's not.

Alhamdulillah. Salaamun alaikum Dr Hany. Thank you again for this amazing explanation. 🙂 Thru watching this channel for months I found something quite ironic and funny. That's is, the interpretation of Arabic words of Quran by the 'islamic scholars' sound estranged from its abrahamic roots. While my language (Indonesia) also use those words with the description/meaning that sound very similar to the abrahamic locution you explained (such as ahli, hukum, ilmu etc) I also found the possibility of some English words having abrahamic roots but lost its actual meaning thru time, such as: Ardh => earth, but also Art (possible real meaning was 'divine and meaningfull inscribe/script'. This explained why art of oldtimes always associated to something divine) Qaum/qaumun => common or commune (something of similar that stick together, e.g. common ground, community)

That alarm was about witchcraft, and how their demonic spellcasting was identified as "dark art". My mind kept ringing the alarm about this with words of ardh and art. Maybe that was my aha moment. Connecting the dots to identify the actual meaning of magic/witchcraft. Thus I come to possible conclusion: Magic/witchcraft/dark art ==> a deliberate attempt to TWIST and CORRUPT the real meaning of divine art/ardh. That conclusion terrified me, because that imply: - some scholars were/are doing witchcraft/dark art. - some scholars were/are unknowingly spellbound by the dark art. - either way, I simply lost my faith on them and look at them and their works with high suspicion

[extras] in bahasa, "art" is called "seni". it (seni) represented from "piss".. because when the concept of art came to Indonesia, it was introduced (viewed) as inhumane.. such as picture of slavery... poverty... improper clothing... etc. at that time raden saleh was the only one portrait nature as art. and traditional dancing is act of worshipping, so Indonesian who has grown by Islamic view (at the time) also consider it as "piss". 😅° my Bahasa Indonesia lecturer's dissertation paper.., he didn't finish the research (yet) when I took his class. .. .. somehow all that we experienced in our daily life is the way Allah guide us.. especially for non-arabic speaker. .. most of the time I wonder... why it's easier for those who don't have good basic in Arabic to understand the explanation here, while many of Arabic speaker reject or simply said the explanation doesn't make sense... 😌 ironically, non-arabic speaker are the one who don't have "sense" for Arabic words.

His lexicon, diction, words were absorbed by many culture, especially those that exposed to the holy scriptures. Now that you mentioned 'seni'. This ring another alarm. Maybe the real meaning of seni was dark art itself, because it 'piss' on the actual meaning of art?

The scholars who contacted me in private have no way to deny what we are sharing of the Marvelous Quran! They are learning, I assure you!
They all know about the challenges we Muslims have faced because of the erroneous claims made by Tafseer books (and other books), but no scholar has provided the solutions that we provide on this channel, by the grace and permission of Allahh!
What do you expect them to say? What do you expect them to do with regards to their prior (erroneous) claims and their followers?
May Allahh sustain us with 'Reeh' (victorious streaks) from him, and may Allahh open the hearts and minds of our Ummah and our leaders, to see how much of a merciful blessing we are granted at this point in our history!
What I want to know is whether the famous hadith of the Prophet salallahu 'alaihi wasallam, about BOTH Quran and the Traditions of Prophet Muhammad upon him be peace, are important in any interpretation of the Quran - does this hold any meaning for Dr.Hani Atchan?
The Prophet had said that any personal interpretation of the Quran is haram. A very well known hadith that any Muslim knows.
And what about the very wonderfully amazing personalities in Islam that even non-Muslims are in awe of....Sheikh al Akbar Muhyiddeen Ibn Arabi or Sheikh al Imam al Ghazali may Allah bless their souls, who are the pious intellectuals heavy weights in Islam, are we now to sweep them into oblivion because we now have an interpretation that suddenly comes into the fore that encourages Muslims to "forget the IBNs" ( Hani Atchan says!)...I was really saddened and not least alarmed.
This means sweeping 1444 years of Islamic Civilisation into the dustbin. What??

If there is clear evidence from the Quran that contradicts a hadeeth, which one would you give priority to?
If there is provable contradiction, wouldn't you then agree that such Hadeeth cannot be from the beloved SAWS?
Now... Apply the same principle to any report about any human being...
If the Quran provides us clear evidence, then wouldn't you also give priority to the Quran?
Another question to you: Why would you accuse me of giving my personal opinion, when everything I say is backed by direct evidence from the Quran?
One last question: When you read the books of Tafseer (as I am sure you have read them), and you find that they all rely on the opinion of this person or that person, without any direct Quranic evidence, then wouldn't that be cause for you to dismiss their opinions? Or that claim about "personal opinions" no longer applies to them?
And finally: Did you know that we have hundreds of Tafseer, starting with the earliest of At-Tabari (who dies 300 years after our beloved SAWS), and they all conflict with each other in so many subjects? In other words, all these Imams did not apply the claim you are making about "personal opinion"...
So again, please watch a few videos on the methodology playlist so that you learn the facts instead of simply reacting without facts.

I just cannot believe for example, that 1000 years of Muslim India and 750 years of Muslim Spain was based on misinterpretations of the Glorious Quran....
@@sabrinasaid204 if you follow all the videos you will see that Dr hany is not sweeping away all previous work he is saying the new info can validate or repudiate traditional info. It's a case of perspective, historical knowledge can help inform, but the Quran must be the foundational source for our deen. We have no other way of validating non quranic sources. I am going to trust Allah's words over any human. At the end of the day your akhira is at stake. I can say I did not associate partners with Allah's words if I stick to the Quran.
Today is the day when I have decided to put all my previous books of Islamic knowledge in a box and stick them in my attic land Allah will hep me to understand all the knowledge available on this channel.

Alhamdulillah, I came to this gem of a video after sometime. I remember how it affected me the first time I watched it. The disclosure that the Prophets were not born perfect was such a phenomenal disclosure.
I remember during my university days, there was a senior who left Islam because if our fate is already decided, then what's the point. There were arguments to convince him later however, they try to teach us that not only the Prophets but the companions were perfect and we can never achieve their level and hence, we have to learn through them. We cannot reach Allah without them. And one particular group was propagating the necessity of Silsilah for us to be sure that we are connected with our beloved. And they extend this quality to some of the predecessors too.
This disclosure respects our intellect, it is a message of hope that also empowers us to connect with Allah directly. Moreover, grounded in reality as everyone is prone to make mistakes. But it is important that we make a consistent and persistent effort to come back to the Quran itself.
Alhamdulillah! This disclosure is such a game changer for our paradigm. Because the way I view the Quran completely changed.

The first time I watched this, I'm sad to say there was nothing.....after some reflection alhamdulillah, things lit up.
The three verses from 38:30 to 38:33 fleshed out the character of Sulayman (AS) so much so that he almost pops out of the book, more than any number of "stories" of him could do. Someone whom we can actually relate to, even though he was a prophet and a king.
I am amazed at how much content and depth of meaning are in these Saafinat, truly beautiful and inspirational ayats.

As you said just like in earlier videos, the "Dzikra" moments just resonates everytime it hits. I'm a non native Arabic & English speaker so I might not be able to comprehend it fully yet, but these "Dzikra" moments fuel me to learn even more.
One question brother, how does one protect ourselves from "Kibr" since I'm afraid when I comprehend these "Jannat" through understanding the layers of understanding and the script, while my fellow brothers and sisters don't grasp it. I'm filled with sadness, anger, and frustration. And I'm afraid that I'm feeling superiority (Kibr) compared to them and Allah will block me from entering the "Jannat" (be it the quranic or the heaven in afterlife) those who have a tiny speck of "Kibr" in their heart.

The Quran teaches us NOT to feel sadness for them (Aya 15:88, 16:127, 27:70) . This is the key to the gateway through which Shaytan enters into the seeker of guidance. Keep that gateway locked from your side.
Detach yourself from any thought that YOU may guide them. Guidance belongs only to Allahh. Just like Allahh brought you to be exposed to these disclosures, he may brinig them whenever they are ready... He may expose them to different venues for learning too.

I do not understand Arabic. I read translations. I will not ask about Salah. I will tell you one thing though. During lockdown , I was so busy , looking after a baby, disinfecting everything from items to floor to ceiling. I didn’t feel good mumbling my prayers in a rush so I used to pray when everything was done and it was quiet late in the night and honestly it felt really refreshing and rewarding.

Truly Surah Saad: 36 (46:41 minutes) guarantees that whoever is connected with Allah, Allah will send on his way the victorious streak. Thus there is no need to challenge anyone, when the challenge is coming from Allah himself. Our job is to submit and connect with him, acquire guidance from his book and just convey the message calmly. It is not on us who accepts it and who's not.

Thru watching this channel for months I found something quite ironic and funny.
That's is, the interpretation of Arabic words of Quran by the 'islamic scholars' sound estranged from its abrahamic roots.
While my language (Indonesia) also use those words with the description/meaning that sound very similar to the abrahamic locution you explained (such as ahli, hukum, ilmu etc)
I also found the possibility of some English words having abrahamic roots but lost its actual meaning thru time, such as:
Ardh => earth, but also Art (possible real meaning was 'divine and meaningfull inscribe/script'. This explained why art of oldtimes always associated to something divine)
Qaum/qaumun => common or commune (something of similar that stick together, e.g. common ground, community)
cool observation...
btw, when I was studying art in college, my lecture said that "art" originally means "the way" ("cara" in bahasa).
and yes, art (in the old day) related to religious act. the hypothesis came from the fact that: the term (definition) of religion doesn't exist till the 16-17th century. before that time, religion is represented as lifestyle (way/art of life), halakha (in Judaism), deen (in Islam

My assumption actually come from unknown pounding/alarm that keep hitting my mind this past week.
That alarm was about witchcraft, and how their demonic spellcasting was identified as "dark art". My mind kept ringing the alarm about this with words of ardh and art.
Maybe that was my aha moment. Connecting the dots to identify the actual meaning of magic/witchcraft.
Thus I come to possible conclusion:
Magic/witchcraft/dark art ==> a deliberate attempt to TWIST and CORRUPT the real meaning of divine art/ardh.
That conclusion terrified me, because that imply:
- some scholars were/are doing witchcraft/dark art.
- some scholars were/are unknowingly spellbound by the dark art.
- either way, I simply lost my faith on them and look at them and their works with high suspicion

One more thing about art. Isn't it weird how people heart tend to fond and love art?
Maybe it was our true soul longing for its actual meaning, which is ardh the divine scriptural words.
But our (corrupted) weltanschauung misinterpreted it as something lovely and novelty such as painting or song

in bahasa, "art" is called "seni". it (seni) represented from "piss".. because when the concept of art came to Indonesia, it was introduced (viewed) as inhumane.. such as picture of slavery... poverty... improper clothing... etc. at that time raden saleh was the only one portrait nature as art. and traditional dancing is act of worshipping, so Indonesian who has grown by Islamic view (at the time) also consider it as "piss".
😅° my Bahasa Indonesia lecturer's dissertation paper.., he didn't finish the research (yet) when I took his class.

most of the time I wonder... why it's easier for those who don't have good basic in Arabic to understand the explanation here, while many of Arabic speaker reject or simply said the explanation doesn't make sense... 😌 ironically, non-arabic speaker are the one who don't have "sense" for Arabic words.
@@ahmadrifai6710 yeah it's surprised me a lot when our bahasa have words that sound Arabic, but the meaning we use are literally from abrahamic words.
After all, Ibrahim is the father of nation. His lexicon, diction, words were absorbed by many culture, especially those that exposed to the holy scriptures.
Now that you mentioned 'seni'. This ring another alarm. Maybe the real meaning of seni was dark art itself, because it 'piss' on the actual meaning of art?
