As an American, this is the first time I've seen someone abroad call Grilled Cheese "Cheese Toast".
It's probably because the Brits have a "Cheese Toast" where they put cheese onto bread and then broil it (Or Grill it as they say). I haven't tried it, but it sounds delicious. Or maybe I'm just living under a rock or something.
Us Brits call it a cheese toastie, sometimes people have it with ham, but I dont like ham

South Africa this is ''braai broodjies' ( grilled bread) =grilled on an open fire on a grid - just incase you dont know! with cheese/tomato and onion .... Almost beter than the meat... Soooo gonna go make one now (unfortunately0 in the oven!
thing is this isnt grilled - the bread is heated on a pan and egg is fried, and the cheese is also heated on the pan. so theres no grilling.
Toasted cheese or cheese toast there's no grilling here. Actually, I'm more curious as to why westerners call it grilled cheese while not using a grill.

This is amazing. I made 4 of these and even tho the first one was difficult as I kinda put the breads in after the omelette was a bit cooked so they didn't stick to them and broke and also because I've never even made an omelette before, it was good tho I just had difficulty with the eggs but the 2nd 3rd and 4th ones came out so much better, after I got a hang of it I easily flipped them and the breads were intact on the omelette.. The taste is soo good, I was skeptic about adding milk but it brought out a better taste.. Such a tasty breakfast, thank you for the recipe!! ❤️
