Whats up man! This snare is a Ludwig Copperphonic with a Remo P77 head. I tuned it at a medium/low tuning and just put an Evans E ring on it to kill the overtones. Works like a charm!

Those lugs come loose over time on most snares, so he's just making sure they aren't too loose.
