lemonsky-fromsoft-darksoul-conceptart-creature03-b (File Name) ------ it was part of a deleted portfolio from dark souls II
Wow. The concept art for that apocalyptic Dreg Heap-esque area from the leaked screenshots looks so damn good. I'm glad it was seemingly repurposed in Elden Ring for the Crumbling Farum Azula (with a dash of Archdragon Peak), and it no doubt benefited greatly from the addition of a jump button, but I still wish we got the original thing back in DS3.
I wonder how much more material there is out there lost, being kept in the hands of a few people
The dark souls 2 artwork .. amazing, would have loved to play that in the game
Jocus' work for bloodborne is incredible. It manages to capture the feeling of bloodborne really well.
Yes, looks very cohesive with everything FS has produced.
You realize what you just said makes no sense right?
@@schmebulockjizz what?
sometimes I wonder, how different Dark Souls 2 would've been if they had maybe 1 more year to make it... ah, there are times a man can only dream...
without miyazaki it would still be shit
@@8304u Miyazaki is overrated. There's plenty of talented game designers out there.

It would have been like Scholar of the first sin.
What makes you think all the concept art shown in this video would somehow make fundamentally different Ds2 from a gameplay/design stand point. They're mostly concept art (which often go through changes throughout the development process), not files upon files of cut assets.
From what I've seen the cut bonfire ritual from Ds3 would have been way bigger fundamental change to the game since it was heavily tied to multiplayer, singleplayer and lore.
1:44 If Eileen was designed by Bluepoint
Good stuff, i find it important to preserve things like this.
Really cool stuff to see! I feel like Volcano Manor was kinda inspired by/taking elements of Iron Keep/the concept art shown. Of course it's not exactly a super-unique idea, but Fromsoft does try to improve things they've done before and Volcano Manor does feel in some ways like an enhanced Iron Keep (but also in some ways a bit worse IMO).
Makes sense to me o...0

That Dragon design is pretty interesting, never saw that concept art before. Man, if only DS2 had The proper time and hardware To develop the game...
So that’s the Old iron king concept art I kept hearing about
Thank god the lemon sky stuff was scrapped! Looked so terribly cheesy
Glad you started to share videos again
Man, thanks for putting this together. I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said, but it's really cool to have all that artwork condensed in a single video.
I'm glad more people liked that. >...
С возвращением! Отличные концепты
спасибо
Interesting, the Jocus image has a destroyed version of Undead Settlement for the Dreg Heap. It fits a lot now that I think about it, as there are already huge chasms that broke apart the ground in Undead Settlement. It seems early on there would've been a part in the game where we return to the Undead Settlement after it became apocalyptic. And it seems that the point where the bleeding sun and the ground connect is where the building above Pit of Hollows is.
That is also curious, because that area in the final game is incredibly under utilised, despite it standing out as the most significant part of the map, a lot more so than the tower with the giant. Hmm.
They use this place from jocus concept in Volcano Manor area hahahha
Iron keep in concept art: 💪💪💪
Iron keep in the actual game: 💀💀💀
hhahah
00:28 - it seems this is an artwork of third state of cemetery of ash.
Whats the name of the song at the very beginning of the video?? Also I’m still saddened that we never got that apocalyptic version of the eclipse in dark souls 3
Castlevania SOTN Abandoned Pit. Yeah, I feel the same way about early Dreg Heap being cut from ds3.
Did i saw it right? Is that Sunken,Iron and Ivory kings at 3:04 ? Or maybe their memory form, just a different concept compared to the Vendrick memory.
That's literally just some artwork from Design Works that they did by photoediting Hollow Vendrick's from the final game.
You've given me new ideas
Thank you!
Thanks e..e
0:28 that's the Dreg Heap of Souls, right?
Seeing as you are planning to restore those locations in the base game (Dreg Heap, God's Grave), will Project Eclipse still integrate DLC content? If so will the Dreg Heap be replaced by the Dreg Heap with the bleeding sun?
yes, but now it's a separate map from the others, it's the last location of the game not leading to the Ringed City anymore
@@abyss1ne17 thank you for your answer and good luck for your ambitious project
The more I watch your channel the more I feel we were cheated out of a better game in terms of atmosphere.
Seeing these images and playing the retail game really makes that kind of feeling come up
By any chance, have you tried asking Lance McDonald for the Gamescom build?
Probably you did though

I am so glad From Software decided to use none of Lemon Sky's designs, they are so stupidly bad. Like they are taken from a bad WoW Blizzard expansion. The only design they used was for the Scurrying Beasts.
I had seen the Bloodborne ones because I did some research on their work for Demon's Souls Demake.
You talk as if Lemon Sky's designs are their own. These companies only draw what they are told to draw, if it looks like it's from WoW, it's because FROM described it to them like that.
@@bigdumbfatcat2869
Big disagree, they are obviously influenced by their previous work for shit games with Blizzard and other such AAA garbage.
This is telling because From Software only used their more subdued designs like the Nightmare Apostle (a spider with a dude's head with a bad hair cut) and the Bloodborne Crystal Lizard (was it Scurrying Nightmare or Scurrying Beast).
And given those finished models they worked on are already in 3D I doubt they made the original design for those themselves (in fact I am sure the Crystal Lizard of Bloodborne has a 2D concept art page in the Design Works)
@@naoiwatani8402 Bro, these companies draw what they are told. They don't get to just choose what they draw and then FROM picks whatever.
a lot of things change during development, I always find it fun to observe these things.
Is any of this going to be seen is eclipse?
Loved some concepts but i gotta say Lemonsky concepts weren't really working for from games, they fit way better with things like starcraft and warcraft or your generic sci-fi / high fantasy setting
What game is the song in the beginning from? It sounds so familiar
Castlevania SOTN Abandoned Pit. o/
2:07 and what is that song too please?
Aava, the King's Pet
1:04 what is that song please??
is a never released song for BB.

I agree. Almost looks like really excellent fanart 😅
