    I've never understood the size up reviews. I wear a size 11, bought a size 11, and they fit perfectly. I have had 0 blisters and 0 foot pain.I'm used to wearing ice skates (figure) which are super tight, stiff and often painful, so was expecting that with these, but was pleasently surprised with how comfortable they are. They are more comfortable than most of the shoes I own.
    The only issues I have had were:
    1. The wheels - they were too tight, which was causing me to trip on everything, I'm new to rollerskating and thought it was my lack of skills, but, after watching KarentheKarrot I loosened them which solved the problem completely, and;
    2. I changed the laces (which were super soft and flimsy) and after about a month, the new laces sliced through the stitching on the tongue on one skate. So now there is a massive slit through the outer layer of the tongue, which I'm trying to work out how to fix 🤔.

      I wear a 6.5 shoe size so I didn't wanna risk the skates not fitting but I'm finally getting around to replacing the laces. I've never experienced laces cutting a but I'll see what happens. I've had my skates for over a month to and I'm a super active outdoor skater. The wheels and toe stops aren't holding up too well but that's only because there's alot of hills and gravel here and uneven sidewalks. They aren't the highest quality skate tbh but they're holding up with how rough I'm being.

      @@Koro098 as a beginner I am trying to avoid rough surfaces until im more stable and barely know how to use the toe stops, so this has not been a problem lol. See how you go with the laces, I like to have them laced quite tight, so this could be my issue.

      A lot of people wear shoes that are too big in fear of them being too small because “if the shoes are too big you can always wear thick socks” mentality. I’m assuming the reviews that say to order size up are the people with said mentality

      @@melanyracheltoussaintsosa7499 not long after this post, the boot started to rip from the heel. I ended up just upgrading to Suregrip Boardwalks, my skating immediately improved. I'm pretty sure the Impalas were actually holding me back.

    I was told to go a size up as well, but then I commented on a facebook post Impala made, and they said the boots are normally true to size. Not to discourage you, but I heard that you don't want a lot of extra room in the boot, that's how you get sores, and blisters. That's just the information that I've picked up so far. I really appreciate the video.
    Have fun skating!

      They're true to size if you're used to skating especially if you're artistic skating or for ramps. It's going to be tight but if you're not used to it you won't like it. It's also a cheap boot so it won't form to the foot right away either. It's really stiff but I haven't gotten blisters after the first one's I've mentioned here.

    Very helpful review! Thank you. I’m so not into blisters and waiting out an extended break-in period, so thanks for the honesty in your assessment.

    TYSM for this detailed review! I'm a 9.5 wide and based on your pain/blisters I think Impalas must be on the narrow side, so I'll probably keep looking for another brand that is recommended by wide foot users. Sad, because I'm a fan of the Impala's price point and color schemes💖

    • @Koro098

      I'm a 6.5 so I chose a seven but because of that extra room it gave me blisters. If you're a beginner I'd recommend these but if not they're not worth the price.

    Are skate sizing and shoe sizing the same? With real shoes i wear 8.5 but theit size chart says i should take 6

    • @Koro098
      @Koro098  5 лет назад

      It's tricky there's more padding in skate shoes. You should email the store about your size and what skates you're asking about for a recommended size. They're always happy to help out with anything :)
