I love Kandi, but I've said it before, and I'll repeat it: if Kenya were to rob a bank or something, Kandi would be one of Kenya's friends who would defend Kenya. There seem to be times when Kenya has gone entirely out of line, but Kandi is one of the people defending her unless Kenya has crossed a line with Kandi.
Kandi keeps Kenya on her good side because she knows Kenyas antics will make Kandi look better and keeps the attention off Kandi. Its a friendship of convenience.

She trashed Phaedra’s law practice, and she was hiding Apollo’s stuff when the FBI was asking Phaedra about them. All of those things could negatively impact Phaedra. Kandi says you can’t decide how someone responds, but she decided Phaedra telling Porsha a rumor was too far? Kandi has always been a hypocrite. It was wrong for Kenya to repeat what she thought happened in the dungeon with Porsha and Bolo but Kandi repeated that she saw Drew kissing Latoya.
