I'm happy that you guys are making these kind of videos. Now that Hodinkee is kind of defunct, it is good that someone is still making high quality watch "story" content ... like talks with collectors and experts etc. I think you guys are well poised to grab that audience and space from Hodinkee. Go for it!!! Start pumping out the content. I'm subscribed!!
Those coin watches are incredibly underrated. A ton of brands seemed to have use the same case manufacturer for those, would love to know what company did it...
That's part of his charm. He's got a great friendly/dorky persona that doesn't try to hide the fact that he really knows his sh-t when it comes to vintage models and their variants.
I never understood the appeal of the 1016 until recently, especially seeing a few in person. I want one badly now 😅. When I decide to pull the trigger, it’ll be with Eric Wind for sure!
Love Eric Wind!! Great video, thanks! Well except for the fact that I’ve always wanted a Polerouter and now I the prices are going to jump just because he mentioned it!
Eric, thanks for giving us insight into the vintage watch world. When you say a "vintage watch is in great condition", are you also implying the watch comes with box & papers? I am asking because it is only been relatively recently that collectors want the original box & papers, yet the original owners used to throw the box and/or the papers away.
I never understand why people buy watches with the motivation of selling them. There are many other assets you can make money on. I buy watches because I want to keep them.
The host seems to pronounce x close to tz or the zz in pizza. It scratches the ear. Especially since Rolex is mentioned so ( so so so ) often in these videos.
The only vintage watches that I find interesting are the ones you can't get a modern version of. Most Rolexes have very similar modern counterparts so I would buy new, with certain provenance, manufacturer warranty, easy serviceability, latest tech and perfect condition. I like interesting vintage designs, not simply old watches. I like when brands like Longines ( Big Eye, many others ), Omega ( 321 ), Vacheron ( Historiques ) pull from their achives. In terms of holding value, just ve comfortable with loosing 1/3 to 1/2 the value over 5 years and buy accordingly. When you're not comfortable with rhat, it means you can't afford it. Luckily there are nice watches at any price bracket. Investment is out of the question, you end up wearing something someone else dictates or not wearing it at all. And still loose money, most probably. What I struggle tge most with is really rich people wearing the same brands, models that hold the most value. What's the point of getting rich anymore?
I'll watch any Eric Wind video. This guy knows his stuff and presents very well.
And he sounds like Kermit the Frog, very nostalgic.
Of course….its always great to hear what Sir Eric has to say about watches. His knowledge in timepieces is incredible.
Eric is the man. The best vintage watch seller for sure. Hope to deal with him one day! 🙏🏻

Another enjoyable and informative video with Eric Wind. Looking forward to the next one.

Great and nerdy speaker. Thanks guys.
Good to know someone who is in the vintage business is working with Universal Geneve. Im confident we will see a bunch of the classics.

The pre-owned/vintage market is indeed still doing perfectly fine. Its a great time as a enthousiast right now
I don't know about you, but I had to sell one of my spare yachts.
Eric, I took a shot of espresso when I heard 5512! 😁 I’m always learning from you. Thanks!
Eric is the goat.
Eric Wind Superstar!
Does he do the voice of Cleveland in Family Guy?
The watch on Eric’s watch is DOPE!
What's faster, a Gellet 12 or a Gallet 24?
modern industrial watch complex lol. love Eric Wind content. its like ASMR

Are there any vintage Panerai that Eric has for sale? I am looking for one that is 40-50 years old if they exist.
아름답고 멋찐 시계 입니다😊😊😊
That Rolex Daytona 16520/116520, there's nothing quite like that era of design. Super bling sans precious metal or stones.
where they hunt for vintage watches??
How's that feature for film photography of the Gallet chrono supposed to work? "Recording it (film) in yards and meters" doesn't make sense.
Early filmmaking was measured in length. That’s why we call it “footage.”

Wind - the closest surname I've heard so far for horological nominative determinism.
Vintage watches are amazing but so expensive to upkeep.

Ow very nice

Apologies. It’s a speech impediment.

I am bored to listen about freaking Rolex. All look the same. Lot's of others much more exciting and interesting, like Jaeger or Omega.

Is this dude wearing a snakeskin strap?
It’s omEga (e as in keg), not omeega
