@@alexmaurilewis If you have the writing of a verse in your pocket or something so that you can read it and memorize it then it is fine. But if you have a Taweez for protection from the devil as most people do then it is totally haram. Because nowhere did Allah or the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) instructed us to do that.

Quranic taweez is Allow ...there are many narrations...plus your logic is flowed...we do dhikr to come close to Allah, pray salah and read quran etc...all those are means to approach Allah ...plus on judgement day why dont u go straight to Allah instead of seeking intercession of the holy prophet saw?everyone will go to prophet to prophet until Mohammad saw...thats why we muslim strive to follow him saw to reach and please Allah ...that is the way to Allah..the prophet saw is the mean and way to Allah ...by following his teaching (sunna) we will succeed....the problem nowadays is the wahabi preachers spreading poison

Is Taveez for love marriage Haram? When something inside is written like *Words, which were in our Qaida* Is it ok to do taveez for love marriage? Plz Guide
I am just curious. People who support taweez always quote that particular Hadith of one Sahabi (Ra). There were thousands of Sahaba (Ra) and even greater number of children I guess. Did nobody else use taweez except Amr ibn al-As (Ra)? Why is there only one Hadith and not many more from other Sahaba (Ra)? Also, why don't they talk about the numerous Hadith where Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) directly said NOT to wear taweez cause it's Shirk? Very confusing.

It is for you to read and understand when needed as so when you faces fear, you may read it as perfectly as written. If view the taweez object as the magical protection without acknowledging it is Allah that protects, then that is a shirk.
I think this Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf should go back to the Madrasa again and study carefully Quran and Hadith. who ever hangs Taweez comitted shirk. He is confusing the muslim ummah, in hadith Taweez means protection from Sayatin. If anyone recite surah Fatiha , Ayatul Kursi , the last three surah after Fajar and Magrib that is a taweez for him that means protection, it does not mean you write this these surah and hang in your neck. I hope logical people will understand.
It depend if u recite the verses believing that the verses themselves will protect u and not Allah or The healing from the quran verses heal u on its own excluding Allah who is in reality he who heals by the means of quranic verses just like medcine

jannat jannat glad you asked. This thing called Taweez is a something people believe it will repel any evil from harming them. But this is totally false. A mere object CANNOT save you from any harm being afflicted upon you. If allah wanted to inflict a trial on you, it would happen. And if he didn’t then it won’t. But people believe otherwise and think this will repel any evil being done to them. Since your a new convert , I highly recommend you follow the sunnah of the prophet SAW and follow his teachings. Listen to the great scholars of Islam such as Saleh al Fawsan, Shitri and many others. There are also people of knowledge which talk in English such as DUS dawah They follow the correct teachings of Islam. Follow the people of the sunnah. The prophets sunnah. These people who are claiming Taweez is ok , they don’t know what they are talking about. There are committing shirk. Shirk is worshipping others than Allah. But then they claim they aren’t worshipping others but they are just seeking protection. Thing is , allah is the only one that can protect you. He can only save you from calamities befalls you. All you have to do is raise your hands and call upon Allah. That’s all you have to do.

It is written on a piece of paper and is worn around the neck. We, the Ahl as-Sunna, believe that to wear a ta'wiz around the neck is permissible if the du'a' contained in it is written from the Qur'an or ahadith. Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to recite du'a' and then blow onto the sick person. The Companions of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) also did this and they wrote the du'a' on a piece of paper and placed it around the neck of a person if they could not read it.

How could you compare taweez with dawa. You are not very knowledgeable about taweez. Have you opened any and seen what has been put into it. Who do you get taweez from? The problem with many Pakistani muftis that they are not knowledgeable about fiqh and aqeedah. I avoid them, also Deobandi, bahlervi, nakshabandi, Chisti, qaderi, ahmedi, agakhani, sufi muftis. Unfortunately these Pakistani groups have so many mosques in the USA that they bring cultural and Unislamic things that confuse converts. Avoid Bangladeshi and Pakistani mosques. Allah knows best.
This is bidati Mufti.. He use his intellect rather than Qur'an and Sunnah .. May Allah guide him to Qur'an and Sunnah .. Although In Sha Allah i beleive him to be a pious man .
This video is soo vague and dismissive of a question that literally leads you to go out thr fold of islam if not answered properly Nd this mufti just made it a joke and soo minor. Needs to check himself.
Not Necessarily, if that was the case then the companion of the prophet (saw) would not have allowed the wearing of Quranic verses. The taweez that was mentioned in the hadith are to be understood when the content are of the jahiliya - magic, spell, shirk & mambo jambo as pointed out by other scholars. No doubt it's best to avoid even the Taweez with Quranic verses since it was not the practice of the prophet (saw). The practice of the prophet (saw) was to do ruqya verbally. There are many du'aas and Adhkar for out protection - we should make effort to learn and recite them as part of our daily routine.
@@abdussamadirfan7378 I am not talking about any specific hadith, I am talking about valid differences among the companions and thabi'een. For example it was narrated by Aisha (ra) that Abu Jafar Muhammad ibn Ali and others said permissible. Some of them regarded as Makruh such as Abd-Allah ibn Akeem, Abd-Allah Ibn AMR, Uqbah ibn Amir and Abd-Allah ibn Mas'ud and his companion and and those who came after them such as Ibrahim al Nakha'i and others - may Allah have mercy of them. One of the principle of Islam is there is no condemnation in matters of valid ijtihad and where scholars have legally differed. This is of course regarding taweez that has Quranic verses (and not the taweez of jahiliya) and the person who wears it with the belief that this is a means, and it is Allah that is healer.

Nothing stops us from asking someone to make talismans (using ayats of Qur’an) for them, except that we do not know what of that would agree with you.’ The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘Make talismans for them. Had anything been able to precede the decree, the evil eye would precede it.’ ” (Muwatta - Imam Malik)

If you have the writing of a verse in your pocket or something so that you can read it and memorize it then it is fine. But if you have a Taweez for protection from the devil as most people do then it is totally haram. Because nowhere did Allah or the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) instructed us to do that.
10 men came to our prophet Mohammad pbuh, to give allegiance or baiya, he accepted 9 of them but rejected the tenth, reasons being he had a amulet/taweez around his neck. only after the tenth took off the taweez, our prophet pbuh accepted his allegiance
Abdul Quddus wow I never knew this may I please get the hadith for this as I can show my family that believe it the taweez. this is very nice
Abdul Quddus Reference please? All you guys are legitimately stupid. It just shows why this ummah is failing
Maybe it was an amulet that contained shirk, not a verse from the Qur'an. The great mufassir and maliki Imam Qurtubi (rahimahullah) says: ""The ta'wiz that are forbidden are those ta'wiz from the Time of Ignorance - those which are satanic and contain an element of shirk [mantar, voodoo and magic, etc.]. The ta'wiz, which are permitted are those written with du'as evidently from Qur'an and ahadith only"

Imam Dhahabi (rahimahullah) said of Imam Qurtubi: "he was an imam versed in numerous branches of scholarship, an ocean of learning whose works testify to the wealth of his knowledge, the width of his intelligence and his superior worth."
It is because the taweez had shirk in it that was the interpritation

Quranic ayat is to read, understand and follow. If this is the right way then the sahaba should have done this.
Please stop misleading people. Taweez is totally forbidden. You think allah said , use something to call upon me ? No he did not. You go straight to allah without any mediators in between. Taweez is haram. Destroy it and take it to your local masjid which is upon the sunnah. The correct sunnah. Alhu sunnah was jamaah and ask them to destroy it for you. The moment they destroy it , is the moment you will feel relief from whatever you have been suffering.

Things which creates shuba'a(doubts) should be avoided. Ahadits which are not confirmed by the chain of narrators are baseless moreover the hadits quoted in the lecture and in the comment section supporting the taweez concept are not Mutawatir Hadits. When someone is healed by a taweez, unwillingly or subconsciously he would think that the taweez healed him or helped him. May it be the ayaaz from the Qur'an or number written inside some grids is haraam. The Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam taught us many Du'a to help ourselves. jannat jannat glad you asked.

Hadīth No: 23897 - ‘Aṭā ibn Abī Rabāḥ, the tābiʿī and muftī states: “there is nothing wrong with (taʿāwīdh made using) qur’ānic verses hung around the neck.”
Hadīth No: 23898 - Yūnus ibn Khabāb RA states: “I asked Jaʿfar RA regarding the taʿāwīdh which are hung around a child’s neck, he approved of them.”
It is shirk even if you still wear it is shiek
The problem is the faith is in us not an object no depends about it. The very fact that you have said don't show it around to people shows it.
Taweez is itself an act of shirk whether it contains ayah of the glorious Qur'an or anything.
This man is deviating masses.
I agree with you
Not Necessarily, if that was the case then the companion of the prophet (saw) would not have allowed the wearing of Quranic verses.
@@faysalahmed9157 That ahadith is da'if not sahih.
@@abdussamadirfan7378
I am not talking about any specific hadith, I am talking about valid differences among the companions and thabi'een.
Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If any of you gets a nightmare, let him say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah against His wrath and His punishment and the’ mischief of His slaves and from the temptations of the devils and that which they bring,
Then they will not harm him.” So, Abdullah ibn Amr used to teach this supplication to his grown up children. And, he wrote it down on something and hung it on the neck of those who had not attained puberty. Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Imām Abu Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah RA, the Shaykh of Imām Bukhārī RA mentions in his Muṣannaf in Kitāb al-Ṭibb, in the chapter: Man rakhaṣa fī taʿlīq al-taʿāwīdh the narrations which permit the wearing of the taʿwīdh:
Mujāhid RA would write taʿāwīdh for children and hang them around their necks.
Hadīth No: 23893 - Jaʿfar RA narrates from his father that he never saw any problem with taʿāwīdh (with qur’ānic verses) which were wrapped inside leather and worn around the neck.
Hadīth No: 23894 - ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb narrates from his father, and he narrates from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ stated, “whoever sees a fearful dream, then he should recite the following duʿā:
أَعُوذُ بِکَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ
“I seek refuge in the complete words of Allah from his anger, his punishment, corruption of his servants, satanic whispers and from the evil Jinns from coming to me.”
If a person recites this duʿā, then he will not be harmed by the dream. ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ would teach his mature children this supplication. For those children who hadn’t reached the age of puberty, he would write it on paper and hang it around their necks. (Tirmidhī, Kitāb al-Daʿawāt, bāb mā jā’a fī ʿaqd al-taṣbīḥ bil yad, 3475, 3528), (Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Kitāb al-Ṭibb, bāb kayf al-Ruqā, 3397, 3893).
