This is what border collies crave!!! They don’t need exercise they need mental stimulation. Nothing as mentally exhausting as parenting (I hear).

I love watching these videos about Sola and Jerry. I had a big golden retriever and she was terrified of my kittens that I got from the pound. The tiny kittens would gang up on her. Over time they all became friends and they missed her when she passed away. 😢

Dad used to say the only bad thing about kittens was that they grew up. My Daddy, the kitty whisperer. Passed the skill on to my son. I dearly love my dog but I am a cat person. Awful allergies have removed the feline energy from my home and I miss it. I think I always will after so many decades of a cat or two in the house. I recommend two. Twice the silliness. 💕💕
it seems there is no peace in Sola's life with Jerry, that kitten is a handful. Too bad Sola wasn't quick enough to shut the door when Jerry went in the crate, that would have settled things for a while. My youngest Border Collie is our cat magnet. He now has 2, one cat and her son are now Waylon’s real owners. The funny thing is Waylon never fights back, he just walks away when Squeak attacks.

Jerry is very clever. He knows to use the tight spots, corners and household furniture as his hiding spots or ways to escape Sola’s pursuit 😻 Sola is very gentle to the tiny, mischievous kitten nugget. She only chased after him but didn’t bite or make any rough physical contact. It’s like she knew it’s all play and that she didn’t want to hurt him 💓

Sola is using a dominance tactic. The "humping" thing. Females do it too. I had a 9 pound dog try the dominance tactic with our 70 pound dog. It's normal. Crazy, but normal.
I've always known cats CAN get along with dogs, and vice versa. Patience.
That's why I can't foster. I'd never let them go. I proved that with my last little dog. Within 30 seconds of meeting her, she was meant to stay here. We lost her last Christmas after 7 years together.
