So does the bond originator CC you in the emails / applications ? Well, I am asking as the agents only notified me via call about what the one bank is offering ? I wanna see the actual docs. Still waiting for feedback from other banks
Hi Nicolette. Would you recommend to get a home inspection service prior to signing the OTP or does the bond originators/ bank send their own before approving your loan to check if the property is up to standard if not included in the voetstoots? Please share your insight
For what I just learned recently I would say is the best to do inspection before signing OTP, you find out things that are hidden and you can even get a reduced amount from that. Especially because the OTP will be written that you take tge property as it is, only to find that when viewing it there was things you could not see and that the seller did not disclose to you, and that OTP binds you now. Or maybe in time of viewing every thing was fine, but damaged after you signed and you will have to fix things that were supposed to be fixed by the seller before you move in

Banks always charge variable. Fixed interest can be fixed for a max of 3 years. Fixing interest rate may mean you are paying over prime

From what I know, there will be an inquiry for 6 if not 12 months
