It's probably because TMBG did 2 of their own Groovies for 'Courage, the Cowardly Dog' and 'Dexter's Lab', and this song never had a title card, so people just inferred incorrectly that they must have done it.
Most speculations said the song was done by TMBG, but the actual artists who did it are Stuart Hill and Garrett Freireich. The former wrote it and the latter sang it.
Not really anything can be done about that, I'm afraid. The only version that exists is the one from the "cartoon network groovie," which came with the sound effects. And as far as I know it's still a CN property, so Stuart and Garrett can't re record it without the sound effects.
They must have the version with no sound effects hidden somewhere. Don't you think so? Getting in touch with anyone involved in the making of the clip or the song is a good idea so we can find out. In my opinion, it's a shame the original song was never publicly released.
It's not anything official, but there's a small youtube channel that's doing a sort-of 'adult' version where the kids of Peach Creek are now grown up. They only have a couple minisodes right now, but I found them entertaining. ruclips.net/channel/UCy0vAPh24fWDTBAJwuN-Q4A
Who is stuart hill? Who wrote this does anyone have their website? It sounds like a TMBG song enough that I bet their other music is good but they're untraceable
@@DragonmanX90 I'm assuming you're talking about Ska Tune Network? He's a pretty great cover artist, I have some of his stuff for my work playlist. ruclips.net/channel/UCji2l5wcs6GoYJY1GgG_slQ
This really should've been the end credits theme for the Big Picture Show!
Without the sound effects, of course.
Agreed! The friendship song for the first half of the credits, this song for the second half.
I can't tell you how hard it was to find the proper singer for this song was for a LOOONG time, people always thought it was TMBG for some reason.

i remember that whole thing too

I remeber seeing this on CN back in the day. This is a forgotten gem here.
Childhood intensifies :(
I always cry with this song.
Spend a lot a time tryin to convince me, my friends are two strikes against me, well, I swing for the fences so must make strike 3, that's fine by me!
Wish didnt have the sound effects.

Mr. Enter brought me here.
I didn’t watch this show as a kid.
@Lil Syko Yeah, though I still remember when boomerang was actually good
Who is stuart hill? Who wrote this does anyone have their website? It sounds like a TMBG song enough that I bet their other music is good but they're untraceable
Stuart Hill is the person who wrote it and Garrett Freireich is the person on vocals. This is the only song Garrett has sung, unfortunately.
I was so sure this song was performed by Barenaked Ladies.
But they didn't have anything to do with it at all.
@@anthonycassimiro2295 I know that, but I only found out recently. Such a cool song.
Right.
Is this available on iTunes? I searched for it and didn’t find anything.
I think it's CN property and they can't release it anywhere, but IDK so don't belive me 100%
Not this version sadly. The only one I've been able to find is a Ska cover of it which is actually pretty good.
