Doug, I got two questions that I'd like to know your thoughts on: Why would the Dolphins making the playoffs have any effect on Chris Grier's job? He has no effect on how the team plays at this point. I feel like his influence/decisions end at the trade deadline, if the choices he made weren't good enough to this point, then replace him. Where are we at as a team? I've heard you and others talk about players to "build" around, but aren't we supposed to be past the point of "building" a team? I don't have the answer, but I do feel like this staff has had enough time to finish "building" and be at the point of only needing to add a few key pieces to truly compete. What's your thoughts?
I have a typical dolfan thought. I worry that we are so worried about Tua's possible return, that the team will overlook the Jets and get beat. That would be a painful way to go into the off season, but it's so completely what I worry about. This team has driven me nuts since 1982!
Think about this Doug. IF Huntley plays in a playoff game, the Miami Dolphins back up's will have played more playoff games than their 5th year franchise QB. That's insane to me when people still want to defend Tua as if his reliability isn't an issue. If it was any other team a QB like that would have been gone by now.
‘hip injury’ oh okay again, hq/mgt/mcdaniels protecting Tua to justify unwarranted ridiculous contract, having their terrible choice of qb in cushy position of laying low end of season knowing chinadoll tua chokes under pressure all that over the top acting laughing for the cameras on the sidelines for Huntley last week *who should STAY as qb in the playoffs NOT Tua* if W today & denver loses you keep nursing that hip injury tua new coach next season please

There’s something fishy about this whole situation. Why do I get the feeling the NFL is going to investigate how the team handled this injury and we’ll lose draft picks or something.
That guy plays how you wish every player would play I wouldnt take him before the 6/7 round, we have too many other pressing needs. He would add some much needed toughness and could be a nice compliment to Achane.

Whether we make the playoffs or not, we need big changes next season , time to trim the fat contracts for our money players , Tua, Hill , McDaniels , Grier etc
Tua is healthy. The team is keeping him on the bench. It’s all front office politics. They are not willing to risk their investment in Tua, by having him play in games that no longer matter. If the team cannot win the games without him, then the team isn’t good enough to be worth taking the risk of him being hurt next season, for meaningless games this season.this is all front office politics in football. If the Broncos win tomorrow, then having Tua play these last 2 games is pointless anyways. And it’s not like they are facing two daunting teams these two weeks. If they can’t beat the hapless Jets without Tua, the team doesn’t deserve the investment of risking next season having a healthy Tua. Doug, there is a rumor going around by Jonathan Jones that Chris Grier is retiring on Monday. Reggie McKenzie will then become our Assistant GM. Have you heard anything about this? I would be okay with that. What are your thoughts on that? I would be shocked the Broncos lose tomorrow. But, if the Football Gods made the Colts lose for our path to open up with only 2 things to happen. Then maybe it will happen. GO DOLPHINS!!!!
Id be shocked if that happens. They got excuses. "We'd be in the playoffs if Mr. Glass didn't get injured and he showed that he could stay healthy last year" meanwhile rationale people would be like "so you mean that fluke year" but we dont have rationale people leading us so we do this all over again next year.
Doug you keep doing what you do. Love our show. The problem is the the Dolphins fan base has changed over the years. It has been affected by the negative northerners mostly New York fan base. You and I are the same age and ive been a fan since i was 5. Unfortunately i live in CT and i am surrounded by Jet fans and some of our fan base resembles these pricks. You kep doing you.
Damn the interview with Tua was hard to watch towards the end. He got emotional when trying to think of ways to stay on the field. He knows he’s getting paid to be out there and all he wants to do is be successful.
Tua is the least of our problems we need to draft Wyatt milum in the first round but trade down and get additional draft picks and in the second round draft Aireon eeersy ot Aireineae Erersy
Of course Mr. Glass wants to play in playoffs - he missed 6 games of the season, letting others do his job for him so he can reap the rewards. But in all seriousness, could you imagine if Huntley started in the playoffs and he pulls off the upset? What would the Dolphins do then so of course Mr. Glass wants to play against the Bills and its the best thing for Grier that he does. It's already bad enough that Huntley showed that he can put up Tua like numbers against crappy teams. And he is mobile too! Be still my heart, a mobile QB that can take a hit without me wincing? Say it ain't so! But we're Dolphin fans, we dont get to have nice things....
@@The_Zilli He's definitely hasn't been more reliable by any metric - he's performed far worse at times than Tua ever has and he's been injured for a higher percentage of games since he arrived. I quite like him as a third string backup, but that's his level.
It is laughable Ross would be letting him retire and take another position within the org instead of firing him to let Grier save face. It is such a soft move and that is why they are what they are.
Tua is injury prone period. Some guys are Miami needs to have a plan B for starting QB moving forward. I would give Snoop a shot, draft a QB, sign a free agent.
There is no way Denver is losing to KC with back ups and having something to play for. I would love to come back here and eat these words but hearing tua will play in playoffs in light of this other situation kills me.
Go Fins! Fire Grier and move on from Tua. Our objective this far into a rebuild shouldn't be, lets make the playoffs. I will always root for the Fins to do their best. Unfortunately, we've seen their best with this current GM and QB. Tua seems to be an exceptional human being, but that alone doesn't win championships. Mike's offense has been figured out. We should probably move on from him, too. Die hard Fins fan here, and it pains fans to see our team not live up to expectations. Fins up. Thanks for the video Doug
This is a great video. The info put out is very telling. I ask myself these questions. Is Tua my franchise QB. ✔️ How do we know tbis? Let's ask a few more questions. Is this team going to win a Super Bowl ? No. MCDANIELS clearly turned Tuas career around and relieved a game ball for doing so. Tua Not playing is based on protecting Tua, the franchise QB, because this game, if won, may not get us into the playoffs, so why roak injury? Everyone knows our oline is atrocious. I no longer see liem in the lineup so that tells me grier is out and mcdaniels can run his team. The Tua news is good news. Hopefully Grier is in fact going to be replaced at the end of the year
We can’t build around tua (AGAIN) the next GM will want a new coach or QB , if they don’t , then means most likely we just Hired someone to just inherit this same team and philosophy

I would be shocked the Broncos lose tomorrow. I think we beat the Jets by a small margin 23-20 but, I have my doubts with Chiefs unless Wentz throws for 4 TD's. But, if the Football Gods made the Colts lose for our path to open up with only 2 things to happen. Then maybe it will happen. GO DOLPHINS!!!!
Chris Grier fired video coming this week!! 🙏🏻😂
@@The_ZilliUnfortunately yes, there's always an excuse for Grier.
Hopefully. No pro bowl players should be the final straw
@@canesfinsfanfromva803 Mahomes also isn't a "probowl" player. Probowl aint worth what it used to be.
Well since there is a rumor he may retire it may happen
Explain the Tua to your Boy TD
Poyer is playing? this defense is going to be lights out. Old man's going to be making plays today
More wins we make less of a draft pick we get stop the madness
Doug you keep doing what you do. Love our show. The problem is the the Dolphins fan base has changed over the years. It has been affected by the negative northerners mostly New York fan base.
You and I are the same age and ive been a fan since i was 5. Unfortunately i live in CT and i am surrounded by Jet fans and some of our fan base resembles these pricks.
You kep doing you.
NO HE WONT!!! cuz we won’t be there 😂
Tua is a joke. 1000 excuses
Sounds like Chris Grier is more worried about the O Line than you are.
If tua is playing in the playoffs then I'm dan marino
Armstead and Tua are very good players, but they just can't stay on the field. "Availability is the most important attribute for an NFL player!"
Don't they have to get to the playoffs first before saying Tua will play in the playoffs 🤔 I want them to get there
I'm a fan of tua got to admit I'm pretty disappointed in him don't need a to give y'all reason why
Huntley is not an answer.
@@benfloydy ofc he's not, neither is Mr Glass but he's far cheaper and probably more reliable as well.
@@The_Zilli He's definitely hasn't been more reliable by any metric - he's performed far worse at times than Tua ever has and he's been injured for a higher percentage of games since he arrived. I quite like him as a third string backup, but that's his level.
@@benfloydydude Tua isnt a starter either
@@joeferreira4992 He's our starter when he's fit, like it or not, for the forseeable. He's not a moveable piece at this point in time.
Doug did you hear about the Rumor of Grier retiring?
It is laughable
Ross would be letting him retire and take another position within the org instead of firing him to let Grier save face. It is such a soft move and that is why they are what they are.
Tua is injury prone period. Some guys are Miami needs to have a plan B for starting QB moving forward. I would give Snoop a shot, draft a QB, sign a free agent.
If Dart is there at #15 Miami needs to take him. If Tua has to rot on the bench for two years then so be it.
I agree we should draft another quarterback if it’s not Dart the kid from Syracuse looks good too, and could probably get him in the second round
We should trade down and get og Wyatt Milum in the first round and Aireondae Eresry ot in the second round@@richardgruenthaler9523
I can live with 9-8.
I wonder if Rodgers is going retire.
Game 17 people, hard to believe we're still alive, let's win and see if KC turn up!
Yeah, when we were 2-6 I figured the playoffs were out of the question
I don’t think KC will win Ben
Tua has to go!! He sucks!!
Let’s Trade Hill, Armstead, Poyer and Duke Riley for a Backup QB
He means if we win and KC wins tomorrow. He’s playing in Buffalo next week. What’s not to understand?
You're not negative Doug, you're a realist. This team was built wrong, they have the wrong GM, HC and the wrong QB. Realism is a bitter pill but it must be swallowed.
WTF is up with people from Ohio immigrating to Florida all the time.... Now we know where it all started. Shula...... I guess I will take it. lol
