If you have a good offensive line then the offense moves better. If you have a good defensive line the defense stops better. Let’s stay focused on this very simple idea Dolfans. Don’t get distracted!
Don’t get distracted. The dolphins need the best offensive and defensive lines in football and the deepest offensive and defensive lines. It’s that simple. Forget about Tua, Tyreek, McDaniel, and so on. Stay focused!
Not only was Doug Pedereson a backup QB, but he was the 3rd stringer that got forced into the game after Marino's backup (The name escapes me... something with a C in it... took over when Marino tore his achilles), but he was also the QB that gave Don Shula is 315th (if I remember right) win to pass George Halas as the winningest coach in NFL history... fun fact... the win came against the Eagles (again if I remember correctly... I'm old... lol)
It was win 325 and Scott Mitchell was the back up who also got hurt. It was the season DM snapped his Achilles. I think they got Steve Deberg off the beach or something to come start the last 4-5 games.
@ I only remember it that well because it was such a Shula thing to do to win the all-time record with a 3rd string QB and then beat the eventual Superbowl winner with a guy off the street. Problem is, at some point you need some talent back because the other teams look at film too. :(
@ the year after that I got season tickets for the first time. First game as a ticket holder I got to see Marino throw that crazy TD to Irving Fryar on... 4th and 7 was it?
@@jhiieri7812 I think you are right...Marino looked at the corner who came on a blitz and pointed at Fryar and said, "you might want to cover that guy" LOL
Does it really matter? I just watched the Washington Detroit game 45 to 31. Thought to myself “We’re not even fkn close to neither of those teams”. Washington has Rookie Star QB with already 2 on the road playoff signature wins. We got Tua, gee thanks, pff. And Dan Campbell was here!!!!!! Kills me.
The Frank Smith question is intriguing. A lot of people say he's actually very good at play calling and knows his stuff, so are we seeing his play calling and he's advising Mike badly, or is he being shouted down as most people believe? Other people say ah no, well he's more like an Assistant HC than OC because he gets involved in everything Mike does and deputises for him .... but then that's Embree's job _right_ ? So what's _he_ for then? However you slice it, it seems like too many cooks.
You have the dream job Doug. Love the video with Omar. Keep the good content going. Can I recomend a video on chris grier. Please do a unbias view. I like him but he did have some busts. Maybe better coaching will do the team better. I did not know michael dieter is a starter.
Frank Smith "Riffs" with McDaniel to form the game plan. That's what mcdaniel said his first year. So, they sit around together somewhere and vape and chit chat about how not to beat teams with winning records.
The problem with changing assistant coaches when the head coach and GM are more or less in a have to win next year or else situation is good candidates may not want to leave their current jobs for the Dolphins fearing they could get canned in a year if McDaniel and Grier do.
Personally think McDaneil rally’s this team and they make the playoffs again. Weaver is about to get Phillips and Chubb to tinker with. I don’t know, I think some of our problems can be fixed
The only changes I care about is Mcdaniels aka mcclown getting fired and grier getting fired as well. Make weaver head coach and hire saleh or lou from Cincinnati to be defensive coach. Hopefully the new gm will draft jaxson Dart and hopefully dart outplayed tua so we can trade him or release him.
I'm waiting for Chris Grier to accidentally replace himself, on the assumption all of his personnel decisions are made using a blindfold and a dartboard. And then tell us that we're all more worried about it than he is.
Frank Smith also game plans and designs plays with Mike McDaniel. He’s basically an offensive coordinator assistant so he’s still put in work. Trust me.
McStupid wasnt even trusted to call plays when he was in SF. He basically was a run game coordinator and like idiots the Fins hired him as their coach. Even Shanahan was smart enough not to trust McStupids play calling yet our circus act organization made him coach. McStupid wont give up play calling bc he now knows when he gets fired OC is his only shot at catching on with another team. No team would be dumb enough to hire him as head coach.
I need someone to explain to me how McDaniel calling plays has any effect on discipline of the team, calling challenges on plays, and any of the other nonsense you just rattled off.. Please, do explain to me how one of those things has any effect on the other. Don’t worry, I expect to be waiting a while. I’ll not be holding my breath.
Weaver will take over the HC job after the game in Madrid Spain just like when Philbin got fired after the London game and guess what we are back at the 2015 season all over again...let's go get Adam Gase again to set us back another 10 yrs
I'd like Mike McDaniel to reevaluate and give up play calling. Bring in Mike McCarthy as the play calling OC. That way if McDaniel can't control the team we already have the replacement in house.
Doug, brotherman, you THINK Pederson was on the Dolphins? Come on partner. As people here have pointed out, he was the winning QB when Shula broke the all-time wins record, 325. Can I just say, because I like to complain, they still need to fix Tua's stance. If he continues to set up super wide like that he is always going to be inaccurate throwing outside the right hash (it is why those screens to the right are all over the place). I noticed Snoop started doing it too so they must be coaching it that way.
I agree with “those people in the comments” if McDaniel sucks as a play caller then he is useless. Because we know his strengths aren’t being a leader of men, challenging plays, giving interviews, in game adjustments. If all that and he can’t call HIS OWN PLAYBOOK then he HAS TO GO.
If you have a good offensive line then the offense moves better. If you have a good defensive line the defense stops better. Let’s stay focused on this very simple idea Dolfans. Don’t get distracted!
Exactly that’s the problem these fake fans hatin on Tua …
Don’t get distracted. The dolphins need the best offensive and defensive lines in football and the deepest offensive and defensive lines. It’s that simple. Forget about Tua, Tyreek, McDaniel, and so on. Stay focused!
Tell that to Grier
That’s why we have douglie!

DOUG PHINZ UP FROM AZ!
McDaniels’ play calls has killed many drives that were going well.
Prediction- Weaver would be the next HC when McDaniel gets the pink slip.
Macdaniel brought in weaver
I’d be happy with that
Prediction-I’d be happy with that!!
Another 1st time head coach? What could go wrong?
It would have to be after this coming year no later
Does it really matter? I just watched the Washington Detroit game 45 to 31. Thought to myself “We’re not even fkn close to neither of those teams”. Washington has Rookie Star QB with already 2 on the road playoff signature wins. We got Tua, gee thanks, pff. And Dan Campbell was here!!!!!! Kills me.
Pederson won Shula's 300th win....
Providing the calendar stay of the day. Very cool fact!
First time checking your content. I like where you’re headed…thumbs up!

Hey Doug! Watching you from Mexico! 👏🏽👍🏽
Doug can we possibly get a new owner, GM and coach please😂

John last name like "Fossil fuel" or a historic fossil
New episode of the bit boys coming soon?
Taylor...ok
Rizzzz!.... my guy!
I wanna see results, but I doubt this will be the season we see it. Also, bring back the old colors and the 90s logo.
Weaver should be head coach for Miami
Fins up!
Frank Smith "Riffs" with McDaniel to form the game plan. That's what mcdaniel said his first year. So, they sit around together somewhere and vape and chit chat about how not to beat teams with winning records.
What do ya do? McDaniel won't change. His ego and pride are getting in the way. Bevs would be a good choice as play caller tho.
The problem with changing assistant coaches when the head coach and GM are more or less in a have to win next year or else situation is good candidates may not want to leave their current jobs for the Dolphins fearing they could get canned in a year if McDaniel and Grier do.
We are not going anywhere without a good OL-DL.
Andy Reid does not call plays. And look how that's working for them
McDaniel should make the plays and scheme but during the game Petsmart someone else help call the game.
Maybe come up with multiple game plans
Great job Doug. Good filler stuff while there is no Dolphin games!
To me, it is the chicken in the egg. Does a quarterback make an OL better or does the OL make the quarterback better?
Anthony Weaver becomes Head Coach next year with Miami when we can Chris Grier and McDaniels
Personally think McDaneil rally’s this team and they make the playoffs again. Weaver is about to get Phillips and Chubb to tinker with. I don’t know, I think some of our problems can be fixed
I like it
We need a new owner...period!
I would like mike westoff back in miami as st coach. We were always good with him and will prolly be left go by jets organization
He retired

Frankly I have zero confidence in this head office making intelligent decisions on personnel. It's just not one of Grier's strong points.

McDaniel never got to call plays in sf. I think its an ego thing
Yeah it was Shannahan calling plays
Hey Dougie , can you please do a segment on early mock draft picks for the fins 🐬
Let's go get MIKE TOMLIN...
Fire McGoofy!!
Denver
Let’s bring in Brian Hartline
Friendly reminder that we could have had Man Campbell as our HC 🥲
Baltimore Ravens.
You forget, If weaver stays good chance he’s our head coach next year. Hell… maybe even before the end of the year 😂😂😂
He schemes great? Really?? Lol

Who cares your the dolphins with no qb
If McDaniels not calling plays why is he the HC? This whole shit is a disaster
HC's shouldn't be calling plays lol. That's the job of the OC 🤦🏼
Most head coaches do not call the plays. The head coach needs to be running the whole show not be tied up with one task.

If that is true, that wouldn’t be the both of you not just him
I think buffalo will win because of the weather i hope not
