I don't know why, but one of my favorite things to do is watch people react to Pete & Bas. Maybe it's to see if their mind is blown as much as mine was. Top tier word play and a different flow on every track. Personally, I believe "Bish Bash Bosh" showcases their ability the best. They went OFF. "Longthorne Shotgun" is #2 for the wordplay and sheer number of bars in it. I can't wait until their album Mugshots drops in 9 more days.
They have only been rapping about 6 years. Pete (short one is 73) started listening to rap with his granddaughter. Bas (77) is a musician so Pete called him up and asked if he wanted to try it. They write their own stuff but their grandchildren help them keep current on the slang.
Rumor has it that Pete ran with the Kray twins who were both notorious for their ruthless East End of London crime empire that rocked the Fifties and Sixties. They were the most feared gangsters in mid-20th century England. Bas' Dad ran an illegal bare nuckle fighting ring where he did some fighting.
@_jdus and soooooo crazy that they didnt even listen to ANY rap until they were in their late 60s, when Pete finally started listening to his granddaughter's music in the car instead of complaining about it. They do their own lyrics, with some input from their grandkids for modern lingo. Their grandsons do the music - and a couple of them do hip hop as well. It's rumored that Nine and Dex are a couple of their grandsons - check out their song "Pecan Pie". The set of that video looks (field with motorcycles part) looks like Pete and Bas's video for "Get Low" And btw, Pete and Bas also do live shows - they pack in large European venues. There's videos of these as well. Both Pete and Bas also have backgrounds in music, singing, instruments.
Pete & Bas are the shit!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 their grandsons are the producers and they help them write the lyrics, but they are totally for real and they do perform the bars themselves
They are HAF. Bas is all about dat a$$. Gangster Sh** will make you pause on every line, then on every bar, then replay the entire song. The lists of songs, provided by others, is all a must watch/listen. Welcome to the rabbit hole...........
Oh - nothing to add - all the other Pete and Bas reactor chasers will have said it all! Welcome to the new phenomenon of your subs going up!!!! We with you in the rabbit hole. We get vicarious enjoyment of seeing someone go through the amazement to respect!!!! Just accept that they are skilled - have beats, bars and flows. Only sad thing is that the vid for Browns has been taken down - can only see it with old reactions of a couple of years ago.
They are real. They tour and do live shows. They just did a song with T Pain recently and are about to drop an album November 22nd. More pls, the Sindhu sesh, mr worldwide, bish bash bosh, stepped into the building, mugshot freestyle, T-Pain and the T-pain remix, mugshot freestyle and Axtion man are all great.
Also - "Stepped in the Building" is smooth AF!!!!!! Some of the older gents (the group they have nick named "The Snooker Club") in the video have made their own hip hop songs - but not as good as P&B. Another older guy (not in this video) they have featured in their song "Golf" (about some of their gangster past) is Norman Pain. His music is good, but the guy seems quite crazy. Lol.
You should check out their No Jumper interview. Gives you the backstory and introduces you to some of their mates who rap too. Probably the most entertaining rappers at the moment, loads of bars, some mad flows and the beats are normally 🔥🔥 Enjoy the rabbit hole. If you want an intro to some more of the UK scene, I'd recommend Dave - In The Fire feat. Fredo, Meekz, Ghetts & Giggs. Do the studio version over the live at the Brits version so you can hear the bars properly.
Check out Pete and Bas "T-Pain" - which T-Pain actually answered back with a verse to it (see video shorts for that). THEN Pete and Bas decided that the verse from T-Pain was so good that they needed to up their game. So the full video with T-Pain's verse with the new part is the video with all their faces. Id recommend doing both versions because the original (actual video with them in a studio) has some amusing bars that aren't in the compilation.
Welcome to the Rabbit hole now watch Step into the building Longthorn shotgun Gangster shit Bish Bash Bosh T-pain And the T-pain remix featuring T-Pain
Age is just a number seriously these young bloods need to remember that...u think pete n bas are a gimmic? Look into there background lol peace n dubs man
The UK is saving hiphop You want proof? Fugees sampled Enya song called Boudica 😊 Why is it so difficult to believe that 2 old white men can rap, flow and bar better than 90% of the youngsters? This is an early song. The just did a song with T-Pain featuring Try their newer stuff
You lost me as soon as you said a New York drill beat if you don't know that drill is a form of UK rap and anything in New York that resembles it is purely imitation then you shouldn't be reacting to actual UK drill

You hear Fugees - ready or not, I hear Enya - Boadicea
Agree to disagree🤝🏾🤓
@@_jdus you disagree on what i hear?
@@_jdus I think the point his trying to make is the Fugees sampled Enya in the first place.
They no joke
Buckle up for this rabbit hole
Aww shih here we go again 😭🗣️

Prolific and with an album coming out next week.
Wait really? They find drop a album?
Check out their most recent release, Action Man, and the album release announcement is at the end.
"Action man" newest. "Stepped into the building" is soooo smooth. I haven't heard one song i didn't like.
The sample Fumes used is not from the Fugees. It's from a song from a singer named Enya. The song is called Boadicea. The Fugees sampled it.
Same difference 🤓
The sample includes the ‘I’m gonna find you’ lyric though
@HistoritorJimaldus I didn't notice that in all the times I've listened to this. 👍
Aaaaand now you'll have to react to every single one of their tracks. It's the law.
Check out Pete and Bas "T-Pain" - which T-Pain actually answered back with a verse to it (see video shorts for that). Enya is Irish, not UK.
@joecorbally134
I didn't say she was British
She's not involved in hiphop either so she can't be saving it
give up brother
Ight bro
You lost me as soon as you said a New York drill beat if you don't know that drill is a form of UK rap and anything in New York that resembles it is purely imitation then you shouldn't be reacting to actual UK drill
