I saw her as Christine yesterday. She is unbelievable!!! She sang and I cried... “All I ask of you” with her is the best emotional act I’ve ever seen on theater! 💜
except that her voice sucks and she's not even close to the soprano range, that's required for this song. she was chosen precisely because of her skin color, and you realize that perfectly well, unless you are completely deaf, which i'm sure you're not
@@cherryboo65b56 LMAO exactly always wanna complain about the depiction of a damn fictional character. Meanwhile when white actors play actual people of color from history there's no issue. The patent on audacity.
The setting of the "The Phantom of the Opera" is Paris in the 1880s. To stay true to the script and concept, the person chosen for the leading role should reflect this time period. Instead, they chose someone based on diversity, inclusion, and equity (DIE) concepts that are destroying our institutions. And for the record, I am not French or even from Western Europe. I am someone that loves the theatre and wants to see productions as they were intended to be seen, not adapted to suit insane ideologies that are destroying Western culture.
The book was originally in French. If we truly wanted to keep it authentic, the entire play should be done in French. But this is a modern musical based on the book. The setting of this musical is in NYC. This musical is also done worldwide in over 40 countries where all ethnicities and nationalities are casted in it. Stop being a racist pig and grow up.

It took this long???? Jesus
I will say....just the little bit I heard her sing, her voice is 10000 times better than Emmy Rossum's in the movie. Very impressive.
The Phantom of the opera or Porgy and Bessssss..... :))))
Awwww congrats sis🥰
Awersome!
But she was picked up by her voice, not by her colors of skin
But the propaganda first black woman blah, blah

Is she the phantom?🤷♂️
Are you??? Jealous??? 😂
I heard as I watched the Phantom of the Opera, you were the shadows of the Show. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
@@cherryboo65b56 I’m a civilized human being. Don’t need that.
No you are
Isn't this cultural appropriation? She wasn't originally blk
Haven’t y’all stolen enough to dare complain?!
@TOPgamesTV don’t worry, slaves sang to your great grand babies. I’m sure y’all will love this too. 😂
Is it cultural appropriation, or are you upset cause you can't sing and you talentless. Sad comment my brother..

phantom of the opera isn’t a culture sorry man

so we’re supposed to not cast POC in any sort of period piece? I catch your drift

Cleopatra was Egyptian and black, yet only white women, including Elizabeth Taylor, have played the role. What's your point? Hypocritical much?
Who cares
We do. Oooo such awesome talent!
@@cherryboo65b56 Amen🥰
people who never saw role models who looked like them, until now, and are more inspired to go after their dreams
Imagine being cast as a political stunt
Do you HEAR HER TALENT?!
None of the others could sing.
@TOPgamesTV BULL
@@cherryboo65b56 I do. Hear her talent, and see her beauty. Wish others would see her for that versus tokenizing her.
@TOPgamesTV it’s called Qtips, use them!
