I live near an air force base, we've got fighter jets flying above us all the time, sometimes at night. I can tell you - after a while you get used to it, the noise doesn't even really bother you.
Good video I once stopped my car on the Motorway hard sboulder facing the runway to quickly watch the jets landing its an incredible view seeing all the aircraft in a line stretching for miles with landing lights on separated by minutes all coming in to land at Heathrow amazing sight.
Just a great 25 minutes--love those big A380's and 747! Im a plane girl and i love those heavy jumbos and those 777 and 787 and A340 too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...nice video. Reminds me of when I was growing up in Milwaukee WI where I had pretty much the same view from the front yard (lived just north of the airport along the approach to the main North-South runway). The one difference, the "big jets" back then were mostly 707s, 720s, DC-8s and later before I left, a few DC-10s and two daily 747s on Northwest.
I was born a brought up in Bedfont, very close to that road, and worked at Heathrow between 1974 and 1988. I also planespotted as a child in that area too. Happy memories of the airport remain.
I would love this as the noise of planes puts me to sleep, listening to these types of videos always makes me sleepy ... Living beneath those aircraft landing would suit me just fine, imaging sitting in your own garden plane spotting ... pure magic.
@@ItsJoru_mia Most houses in such areas have sound proofed windows. I lived in a flat in such an area - you heared less of the planes than of the highway. And before that I lived at the train station . You know where they don't stop working at night, unlike the airport.
I was brought up in Egham , right under flight path in and out of Heathrow . you can just lay back in garden and read registration numbers under wing. Before the grant we didn't have double glazing. BEA had a fleet of Tridents, made window's vibrate, till one came down in Staines
Nah, you wouldn't. As a Small boy (true, it's my last name as well) of 6, for one year my family lived in Hounslow Town right besides Heathrow airport, and we had jets roaring overhead every few minutes day and night, let me tell you the novelty wears off pretty quickly.
March 1st.,2023 - I have to state, that this ONE FABULOUS VIDEO, for us Plane Spotters. I have watched it several times since 2019 and never tire of its contents. However, even though I have been crazy about aircraft since I was nine years old, I wouldn't enjoy living under Myrtle Lane's flight path!! 🇬🇧 ❤ 100% ❤ Roland Singh, Canada 🇨🇦
Excellent video. Nice to see some narrow bodies in the mix. Also like the fact that as soon as the aircraft has passed overhead, you move straight to the next approaching aircraft. Like the captions too. 10/10!
Fantastic video !! I LOVE hearing the noise but not too sure if I actually lived on that road I’d probably change my mind, although I was born in London. Thank you for such a wonderful video 😊
The approach to 27L is well behind the line of the houses. The camera makes it look like the jets are flying directly over them, though. The best spotting place for LHR arrivals, without doubt. Thanks WPS.
I would love living there for two weeks. Absolutely brilliant. To spend the rest of my life living there? Probably not so much. I would really have to give it some thought though.
Also a branch of Waitrose, Greggs and Costa, as well as many other high street stores within the terminal buildings, with free shuttle service between terminals.
Another superlative vid, WPS! Can one imagine being a planespotter and living on that street? It would be like nirvana for that individual, although I don't know about all of the noise especially during takeoffs, lol!
Shame it's not earlier. My usual run to London was in the Qantas A380 which would get there around 6 am or bit after. Great to see planes. Miss the flying
...much quieter today than it was when I lived off the approach/departure path of our local airport in Milwaukee in the 60s - 70s. Back then we had 707s, 720s, 727s, DC-8s and Caravalles, the latter two (along with United's 720s) were incredibly noisy when they took off over the neighbourhood as they had the old turbojet engines. The new high bypass fans of today are a lot easier on the ears, the windows, and the plaster.
Alarm clocks sell really bad in that area. But when you look att all the beautyful planes , you will avoid seeing all the humen zoombies staring at there mobilephones all the time .....a wonderfull break
Absolutely great vantage point for great plane spotting. Those people who live in those houses must be big plane spotters or just crazy. Some of the A 380s look like their going to just skim the roof tops..Again great video. Do you live on that Street??
I remember I was doing a garden deck in Richmond Surrey in 2012 and the next door neighbour was outside doing some gardening I said to him the planes must be very annoying he said I didn’t notice until you mentioned it.
That area is renowned for plane spotters. Driving past, I have seen over 50 people there at times. A massive green below the run up to Terminal 4. The locals seem to get more annoyed by the plane spotters parking up and blocking their driveways than the noise of the planes!
Imagine living in the house like that one and see the entire house shaking thinking it’s an earthquake but looking outside you will see that it’s a planes coming in to land at Heathrow or even taking off

YOU tell ME, how can anyone possibly ever reside/live/exist in those houses??? I mean even triple layer windows cannot keep the BOOM out. Even a BUNKER would shake.
This is why a date needs to be set - sometime in the future - for the closure of Heathrow and in the meantime the building of a new airport in or just off the Thames Estuary.
That was the best 25 minutes EVER! The power and beauty of these aircraft is wonderful to watch and to listen to. Thank you for sharing.
i wonder if the people living there thinks the same! xD
Oh how lovely. It must be almost impossible to sleep amidst all that excitement.
Fabulous if you're a plane spotter.

SAME!! This place is an aviators dream to live here and listen to the beautiful sound of jet engines
This is so addicting, I can't stop watching it.
Spectacular! Especially loved the Aer Lingus retro livery at @18:20. Looked right out of the 60s!
I never get tired of videos from this vantage point. Love it and thanks!!!
Good video I once stopped my car on the Motorway hard sboulder facing the runway to quickly watch the jets landing its an incredible view seeing all the aircraft in a line stretching for miles with landing lights on separated by minutes all coming in to land at Heathrow amazing sight.
Gotta appreciate the network of systematic operations to make those planes land like clockwork eh?
Above the clamour I can still hear the beautiful rumble of a Subaru XR going past at 0:53!

The Myrtle Avenue is always the place I go.
Another Superb Wonderful Planespotting video!
I'd pay over the odds to live there. Would fulfil my addiction to planespotting and photography. A dream come true.

Holy crap!! I didn't know this street existed!
Seriously, that one house these planes are just feet above it!!
I can watch this forever
Woahhhh I love this. They're so low!
OMG the A380's
Years ago as a student I lived just down the road from here, you soon get used to the noise and don't notice it.

The A380 tho 😦 an then the 747 , my favourite bit 🙌🏻

Its crazy seeing the destination of the plane. You never can tell when youre on the ground
Seriously fantastic video👍👍
thank you...for this .!
Crazy, but I get a sense of love forall the countries represented, and all the souls above and on the ground, including the birds.
Those Emirates flights carry 525 souls plus crew souls at only 500 feet above ground at around 120 miles an hours 😳

I lived a mile or so further out when I grew up and everyone had soundproofing even then...was subsidised.
Circled London a many of hour waiting on 6AM to land .... They have a noise restriction until 6AM
For me it s AMAZING. I love jet noise.😀✈👍 GN.
I'm thinking of opening my own ear plugs shop at the end of this road. A nice little earner there.
You're a bit late mate, an hearing aid shop might be a better bet ... as all the residents are already hard of hearing.
The world comes to London !
All that's wanted now is a few DC10S TRI STARS VC10S 727S TRIDENTS 707S DC8s Now that would have been a great noise ,great video though...addictive
