Absolutely the best on the field. Wish he'd had Rutter's chance.
He is still young and lots to learn as blasting at goal is not always the best option. But the lad is gonna grow into it I believe.

Last 2 seasons in prem must have been a nightmare playing behind that defence imagine going from holding the record for the number of clean sheets for an under 21 in the premier league to according to some of our fans the worst goalie in the world short memories
How was that first tackle a yellow on Rodon?? It’s a joke, the refs are always biased towards the home team. Again, Rutter needs to take those 1v1 chances, Piroe scores them all day long.
awful reffing for first yellow on rodon, heart was in mouth before they hit post at end, will take points in circumstances but we need to be winning these games to have a chance of promotion, will bite us at end of season

These goalies have the match of there lives against leeds always the goalies make 3 to 4 world class saved.
Came out of that game thinking "how did we not win" given how much we dominated that first half, but also "how did we not lose" after playing nearly half the game with 10 men and that open net miss at the end, so I guess a draw is probably a fair result at the end of the day? That first yellow is an absolutely joke, it's not even a foul and it's on the halfway line!
The sending off was the killer punch. But Rutter fluffed a sitter as well. Watch it carefully, and you'll see that he lacked the confidence to just bury it first time. That gave the keeper a chance. Can't afford to choose your best foot in situations like that. The guy's a pro. The right foot would have been just fine. Keeper no chance. But he bottled it. The clean sheet with 10 men is the only bonus to take home. That Rodon situation will be all over the Championship this season for all clubs. Bad referees, no VAR. All teams will suffer as we have. Lack of VAR will have its pros & cons, though, over the course of the season. We were away today. At Elland Road, VAR may sway in our favour. These refs are far weaker than EPL pros.

Why is a player with head wound is treated on the pitch? Surely if he can walk he should be treated on the side line instead on wasting time. Ref was very poor. Good point though and another clean sheet. Come on you Mighty Leeds 👍👍👍

You're being way too nice, Rutter lost his feet, had too much time to think and therefore panicked his finish. He should score that 10/10 times.
@TomMellorx You've got to give the keeper credit there, great stop. Also made another couple of worldies in the first half, Leeds could so easily have been going down the tunnel at half time 2 or three to the good. Referee was atrocious though.
@@coastie1961 The keeper did well, but that chance is the equivalent to a penalty, the striker HAS to score.
@@TomMellorx Absolutely buggered it up. Made it easy for the keeper by dallying and wanting time for his left foot. Just use your right, man! That extra touch was 3rd tier football. Piroe or Summerville would have put that away. Beautiful assist wasted by a lack of confidence. Right foot first time and the keeper's beaten.
@@Unbelievable-Hard Very true. It's obviously confidence. He's young, but that fee would suggest a great deal of talent! He's been pretty decent so far. We just can't get too far behind the top 2. I hope Farke is the right man. Not 100% convinced yet. Some odd choices here and there. We'll see.
How on earth was that a first yellow? If you slow the video down, Hull player stumbles over the ball which the ball flicks into Rodons feet which makes him stumble over the ball which he then goes into him? It was a coming together! Never a first yellow!

Refs make errors, but they do not have as much influence on the match as so many people complain about.
It is pretty simple in that if you put the ball in the net, you win and negate the referee from the equation.
I am not complaining.

I feel unlucky not to win but we are lucky that didn't lose!
I remember Farke making this point recently. He expects Rutter and Piroe to swap more when they're more familiar with one another.
Always take a point away, especially to a pretty good team, definitely when that team has one of the biggest misses in recent years!

Some of the lads weren't at there best last night ' Shacks ' Dan' Archie seemed tired but Ayling was Awful and to get a yellow card for being stupid after being subbed and he was the captain ' bench on saturday for him ' he carn't get back in defence Roden was coming across to cover for him most of the time ' but we got a draw and clean sheet
I thought their goalie was brilliant. Leeds were kept out by him so many times.

Rutter should have scored. Extra touch not needed. One shot would have done it. Thank god that Hull missed an even bigger sitter. Leeds should have won. Call it a good away point if you choose, but we were all over them. Rutter needs to be scoring those. He's in the Championship now. That should be shooting practice for him. Leeds basically nearly lost all 3 points to a low class Hull City. Wait until we play Leicester. Then we'll see who's got it to makeit back up. Already too many draws that should have been wins. Be ecstatic about 3 clean sheets in the Championship if you wish, but we'll have to do better than this. Tired of the optimism when we've a team of this quality dropping 2 points to teams that really can't contain us.
Hull fan here. I think we feel a lot worse about our miss than you about your miss, but it would have felt a bit wierd to rescue 3 points after after that sending off, it was looking a little strange (first yellow card).

@@matthewmulholland1797 Indeed. Today's game is kind of a key fixture. We should beat them at home even with the one suspension & no Gnonto. These are the games we must stop drawing and win. The team isn't settled yet, but they're looking more solid. I think it's the perfect window to look through when you're thinking about where Leeds will finish this season. A draw tells me top 10. A win makes me think that they're good enough for the play-offs. 🤞

Another 2 points missing. From Giorginio the club deserves much better missing a lot of chanses. Leeds must get rid of James and Ayling if they want to make a little progress.
OK result in the end, they had a day and a half extra recovery over us from their last game and won at Leicester, this always had potential to be a difficult game. We were the better side though until the red card and their keeper made some good saves to keep them in the game (Rutter should score that chance but the keeper does really well there). Red card very harsh but agree with DF, Rodon needs to be a bit more controlled when he's on a yellow, hopefully a lesson learned for him. Got lucky with that miss at the end though so take the point and move on.

That first yellow for Rodon was a joke,the refs are a disgrace, we were unlucky we could have had a few goals in that one, at least we kept a clean sheet, i think the Hull guy needs to go to specsavers, what a miss 🤣🤣
