Hi Ted , Great to see you posting again. I have tried these through my Impact smooth twist. I usually shoot AA field Heavy 18g. 32 ft/lb. The Hades pellets are as accurate at 25 yds indoors and effective at 20 yd in my garden for Pigeon control. I was unable to retrieve the pellets as they passed through, so I can not comment on the expansion yet. I have not had chance to try them at longer range, I hope to do so in the next few days.

Just got a 500 pk of these. I alway shoot 18.1 gr jsb from my FX wildcat mk2 1/2" groups all day at 50yd. My first 8 shots with these Hades were hitting a 1" steel swinger at 50yds every shot. Repeated it with 4 more mags. Didnt break out chrony yet but my 18.1 jsb were at 810fps. I shot 3 of these into cool (pretty hard) modeling clay at 5 yds with a 650fps pcp and it expanded way more than the video pictures, it opened all the way back around the skirt. 2" penetration. Next was 810fps with fx, same cool temp clay, 5yds, pellets left expanding, slight twisting pettal grooves at 1/2" deep and continued to 3". Skirt to a point was all that was left. It shed all 3 pettal segments between 1 and 2" in wound channel. This pellet will be my go to rat and pigeon pellet. Love the crow magnums, polymags, and barracuda hunter, but they all arent accurate past 20yds in my pcp and they are all different zeros. These Hades expand on impact and fly like our beloved 18.1&15.9 JSBs

So I went pesting and guess what?, it smaked a few young squirrels so hard, that it did not even passed through. Just a pure beast with insane accuracy. Thanks Ted and 10 thumbs up for the hades

I took your advice and bought 12 x 500 tins of the Hades. Most excellent pellets !! They are devastating on squirrels, rats, and feral pigeons. This makes a much bigger exit than the 18gr JSB Diabolo. It often does not exit. Every .22 I have loves these. I just stalked a squirrel in my avocado tree. It it dropped one avocado on me. Idropped him. I used a Ataman AP16, with a Hugget, and you will laugh, but it works, an MTC Viper express, 3 x 12. I Bought that because you liked it. My Impact smooth twist loves these, Walther Maximathor, Fx Ranchero, old Hammerli Pneuma, Hammerli 850, even an old Remington express break barrel. These will work out to 100+ with light wind. I do 3/8 " groups at 45 yards with them. I'll still stick to the .25's with my ss 510, Impact, or Crown.

I noticed that when you group your rifle you try to shoot through the crosshairs. If you want you're groups to shrink a little shift your point of impact an inch over an inch up from your crosshairs and then continue to put the crosshairs right on the center diamond of the bullseye. This way you won't be losing your point of reference when shooting.

I think any pellet your rifle shoots well especially when reaching out, accuracy is king, makes for a good pest control pellet,if it expands is a bonus.
Hope the Hades have the accuracy of a JSB domed and expansion of hunting/HP pellets.

I know this post is three years old but I picked up a sample of these from rep at Shot Show in Vegas before release to public and tested in my FX Crown MK2 .22 with 380mm barrel and they are really accurate and like to go fast @ 935 FPS, also tested in my other Crown MK2 .25 and pretty much the same results. When you hit a Nutter or Pigeon it sounds like a 100 mph fastball hitting a catchers mit upon impact.

Terminators alot. I get shards of metal flying off my triple tin can targets. My HW44, and HW98 are addicted to Hades.
They hit varmints hard too. Makes thwacking sounds. Instant death. Very excellent ammo. Expensive too. I keep burning holes in my wallet.

Thanx Ted; don't listen to the devil what says about you..lol. back to the point; I just got the new FX Impact; not the "brand new" one; the older new one. I got it in .25 w/ the 700mm barrel. Right now for hunting I'm shooting JSB's Hunter Exsteam's 28.4 grn. They destroy them squirrels; and they are shooting out to 100 yrds. 1" MOA more like 3/4"-1" & they go into hard wood so they blow right through the head of those squirrels even out to 75 yrds. clean through. But now I guess I'll just have to get the .22 barrel in 700mm. So thank you Sir Ted for your honest reviews. be blessed.

I have them loaded for my next trip to the feed store and cattle lot for starlings or the woods for squirrels. Back in the old days when ballistic gelatin was unavailable, we would use duct seal, for regular gun bullets. For pellet guns, I cast lemon jello into empty cottage cheese containers, assuming the plastic wall of the container is like animal skin and the jello like weak flesh. Not exact but useful as a relative comparator. I hope this helps.

if the Hades expand as advertised then less chance of pass threw,in turn will dump more energy.
I use a FX Streamline in .22 shoots the JSB 15.89 the best but shoots most pellets well out to 25 yards, switch to the JSB 15.89 when reaching out to 50 yards plus.
So this new pellet from JSB hopefully perform like a regular domed JSB but expand like a poly mag.
Hope some of the RUclips guys do a full review when there available.

Those pellets are definitly good, they're my favorites at the moment with the BSA Target and Norica Premium but i'm not convinced that the expansion is really needed or usefull. Does it really make more damages ? It's just lead so it's a soft metal. I guess it also greatly depend of the riffle's power.

I have hunted a lot with Hades using Gamo Mach 1 magnum. I have no pass thru ‘s on smaller pigeons and duck. The no pass thru’s on pigeons I cannot understand. But it is all one shot kills. The bullet may cause the gun to recoil more. I don’t know. I broke two scopes so far.
