The pure joy on your face when you arrived in sight of your special river spot....THAT was priceless! I felt the joy through the video screen! What a gorgeous and peaceful place! Thank you for sharing! Cheerio! Sending love & light...peace.
Fantastic landscape river and luxurious nature. You must have a great blast. Another piece of Australia to discover. Simple things of life makes people feel really alive and that's the best about nature
Wow, what an awesome adventure into the wilds. It looked a great four days but hard work to get there. Well done Justin and thank you for sharing your trip.
I loved this video,it reminded me of times past when i used to go fishing with my dad for trout, back when he was able to walk long distances and the like, sadly he is no longer able to..but thankyou for the trip down memory lane. I have subscribed and await your next instalment.
@Jondantic Thx mate appreciate it. I know it's a bit of a stretch but if you know, what area/section of the river is he on? I don't mind the walk down if there's some gems to be discovered.
Just viewed your fishing video, thanks for that,I could smell the smoke and taste the fish with that smoky flavor ah man thanks bro ,much luv for the share.
Great Video, I live in the mountains and haven't done enough exploring like this although a 15km hike would be too much for me but would love to do it or something similar.
Great Film, Great quality footage , huge Trout, you sure are on a roll with the Big Fish, I reckon someones watching over you nudging you in the right direction . Hopefully you can get on and finish that Rolling Red Lazer Dot bad boy of an Opal now ...lol can't wait to see that Beauty finished
Great stuff Justin What a pretty country Most my family moved from the UK to aus Looking at rivers with no beer cans and crisp packets in it makes me want to move out there too You should of put this on your opal channel We are invested in YOU not just your opals matey
Cracker video mate! I remember one you made years ago down there. Say hi to Nick for me. Met him in BWRS and he introduced me to this awesome place. Actually heading down there this week myself!
Hey Lochie, is this spot anywhere close to the swing bridge? we fished 2km down from that over the weekend but only found carp mostly and smaller trout... would like to know where the bigger trout are residing
Nice one. I'm not far from that spot at the moment. The fishing has been phenomenal this spring. The rivers are up but when they drop a bit it's just great. Enjoyed your vid. Thanks for sharing. Cheers PP
I was just thinking about you Justin and I see now what you've been doing lol .... may you Carry onward friendly opal cutting and fishing adventure ...
My notifications just started to work right after I commented on this video lol 😂 and that's a nice way to smoke your fish out in the brush with friends around the campfire. Nice video Justin
@@gemfish8223 I am out in Northern California. My brother and I went last weekend. I caught a nice 13 inch and he caught a 17 inch monster. Both rainbow trout. Going again for father’s day
Done this track 50 times at least. Hard beautiful walk. Some years brilliant fishing others much less. The more rain over a few years the better it gets. Currently as good as it gets 22 trout in a day released not a carp to be seen. Floods pushed them down stream.
Hey johan, we fished 2km down from the swing bridge beyond fish river and found only carp and smaller trout over the weekend. Could you please advise the best spots along the cox to target bigger trout'?
Trout... Yes. Have you tried stuffing it, wrapping in newspaper, wetting that and then close to the fire? Stops it drying out and as the paper chars the fish smokes slightly.
Sounds great. I must try that. I found that the trout has a lot of fat so if you get it cooked at the perfect time it will still be juicy. But I will try :-)
Justin what is the minimum size for a keeper rainbow there In Australia? What is the limit per day also ? Here In Washington state, in America we can catch and keep five per day and smallest size is eight inches long. Do you have stealheads there ?
What a beautiful spot, your enjoyment of nature is so obvious. My mouth was watering as you ate the trout. 😉 What river is it? We don't fish but we sure love camping by rivers. Great video 👍
@@gemfish8223 I'm 76 and no longer hike, don't fish either. All I wanted to know was the name of the river as I'm sure it travels through other parts of the state. 😊
@@gemfish8223 thank you sir. In Alaska they use cottonwood trees, in washington state we use alder wood. I want to gather some cotton wood seeds and send them to John hues and maybe you. Cottonwood trees pull the salt out of the soil and prepare it for other plants. Do you think that it may help the citrus farmers in australia grow multiple types of citrus trees and turn some of the desert back into forests?
Awesome video. Shame about the bald guy 😂

Hey mate, I've just recently moved out from Ireland and am struggling to find places to fly fish would you mind sharing location?

I look forward to being able to teach my son to hunt and fish so this is something I get to look forward to doing with him
irreplaceable memories
make sure his school teachers dont brainwash him into thinking meat is bad hunting is evil . they will try so dont let them

What is the campground called or the road you take to get down to the car park? Would love to go there
I wouldn't be able to fish, I'd be too busy hunting for rocks😄

The size limit is 25cm but it differs in spawning rivers. The bag limit differs too but it is 10 in most cases

How old ya brother ? You seem very fit ? How old is the oldest a person could safely make that hike if they were still decently fit
Sparkly rocks and now sparkly fish....
Justin can you cook on a fire using ucaliptus wood without getting sick from the oils ?
