This was the one thing I really expected during the move to current gen.
That & hoping for ragdoll KOs & physics based knockdowns (or waaaay more knockdown animations)

I am trying to like and accept this game, but just cant... this is just UFC 4 polished a little and being sold as a new game. it feels identical no matter even if they ported it to next gen, its the same mediocre game

Played ufc 4 a lot. Ufc 5 looks the same, same jab cross, same movement like they are skating. They said they fixed knees and elbows, saw a clip of Martial's, spinning elbows look as broken as before.
As everybody said, this is ufc 4.5 at best. EA Sports, as usual, they make little to no change, but it's the frostbite engine and get RUclipsrs to shill.

Before UFC 4 was some what capable of being played sim it took about 5 updates after launch Im sure this one with a new engine will have plenty of updates and transitions added

What a joke. Look at Izzy’s red gloves during the fighter selection and then look at them during the fight, they’ve changed 🤣🤣. The alter ego look was just a rip off from EA into buying deluxe. I bet Fedor’s gloves won’t even be the PRIDE blue ones like they showed in the display art.
I can not lie the alternative model in game looks fire i like the fro and the flowy shorts with the foot wraps and headband lots of interesting details

If you're fighters nose gets broken or eye gets cut it drastically affects your vulnerability, blood everywhere... its rated M now too

I hate the headband...like have him walk out with it and then have it off for the fight. It's too silly for me, but it's not as bad as Volk's alter ego in a full rugby uniform.

Lol idc if it’s the same or not gotta take baby steps because if they give us all that we ask and want they would leave then out of making new things so slowly UFC 6 will have better stuff but itll take like 2-5 for that
Why the camera is still the same? Change the camera and make it new to each game. And still have classic or older options. But new camera movement with new gen tech makes a difference. Looks like the same set up. Bad. Don’t matter if models look better, if you put them in the same overly familiar camera angle and similar if not same animations. . It downgrades the feel of what’s a so called update. Looks like ufc 4 again with the color setting of 3 since 4 was so dark, and showing off more audience not so blacked out. Not mind blowing to the eye and mind. Y’all can make such small changes that help impact the delivery.

This is an Izzy before he came to the UFC and had an undefeated record in MMA. His gear is reminiscent to his fights before the promotion so yes his takedown defense should be low but his output and accuracy ish very high because back then Izzy tried to finish fights
