    Compressed charcoal is made by adding a gum binder to powdered charcoal.The binder affects the consistency of the mark that’s made on the paper.
    We do see the reference photo for a time but not when we need to be able to see it most...as the drawing is being done !

    You work is really captivating. I like your style of handling charcoal.
    I was immediately reminded of this work of yours, while I was watching "Westworld" (season 1, episode 10, time: 04:41 to 04:52, do watch it!!!). Please consider this as a sincere compliment from me.

    use graphite as a vine charcoal and turn the compressed charcoal into dust, then blend it with blending stumps. i can't find vine charcoal and the only compressed charcoal here comes in xl size so you can't really grip it easily

    Hi,
    Can anybody please tell me what kind of pencil used at 6:07 to pull out the light and 7:10? Thanks

    • @jeffstupelli5983
      @jeffstupelli5983 7 лет назад +4

      nguyễn Đức Cường at 6:10 it might be an eraser stick. faber castell makes them and at 7:10 it looks like a blending stump (a pencil made from tightly rolled up paper)

    WHAT TIPE OF PAPER CAN USE WITH CHARCOAL? SOME CAN TELL ME SOME NAMES?

    • @gwen.2515
      @gwen.2515 4 года назад +1

      Some rough paper. A really good brand is Stathmore.
      You can also use watercolor or heavy weight paper. This brand can be a canson sketchpad.
      I reccomend using the penneli sketchpad.

    • @pandorisnova449
      @pandorisnova449 2 года назад +1

      Rough textured paper is good for holding charcoal. Toned paper is also a popular choice, with white charcoal being used for highlights
