Had this one on my mind for a while and needed to get it out. A spicy drum and bass set featuring songs with a decidedly Middle Eastern sound. Couple of distinct artists fit this mold, Amit and Sunchase, but I've got a few other tracks in the vault that pare well. If you're liking some of these tracks, you should know most of the transitions in this set are really long (maybe as long as 2 minutes in and out) so the live tracklist changes after the incoming track is mostly dominant...so if you hear these tracks elsewhere, they will not sound exactly as they do here. I really love the long transitions, for me this is what makes mixing an art, what it's all about. I was out of (good) music again and wham, this comes along. Just awesome.
I've been working on smoothing out the transitions and it takes a lot of work upfront, at least for me at this stage. My ear is becoming very adept at finding weak or jarring slides between tracks. I hope you'll subscribe and comment...I need you guys to keep me on my toes and working to get better.
This set is so cool (and not cause of my mix but the tracks are fantastic) and its not getting enough run. That's OK...I'm happy a few DnB fans are digging it!
Glad you approve C222...its a bit different but I tend to mentally group tracks as I listen to them over and over...sectioning them off by their similarities. I'll have a few more of this type of set coming up but I've got to get out a couple of others I have in the works first. Be on the lookout for a straight DnB set, a little on the light side, but not liquid. Hope to have it up sometime next week.

Hello! This is really awesome! Do you know how this sub-gerne of dnb is called?(if it's a sub-genre or a style or whatever) I want more of this sort of music.
I know...the vibe turned out really well with this one. And I truly appreciate the props...I've been a fan for a long time but just started to mix a little more than a year ago. This mix was like my 4th or 5th ever and to get praise from long time DnB fans/djs mean a hell of a lot. Thanks for the listen and I hope you'll check out some of the other mixes...especially Vol. 2! I don't think this style has a name, and if you go to Ishtur's Guide to Digital Music or whatever its called, don't believe the hype! We don't need a bunch of bullshit subgenres for every sound. Just follow up with the artists I've included....especially Amit. They'll do other tracks with similar sounds...
