Recently found this while scrolling down the page of Best Albums 2023 on AOTY, and this doesnt disappoint at all, I absolutely love the insane soundscape that this is, very atmospheric and full of vibes, it paints a colorful bleak image in my mind flowing thru a river. Thats how I would describe it. Great work on this Album, keep on maklng music dear artist!

Just wrapped up troubleshooting an enterprise IT system failure that I had almost no idea what I was doing at first. This was a great companion during that. 'The Sky Fell' is a instant favorite
I’ve always felt that breakcore had too much repetition for me to actually come back and this is no different but despite that i always come back to songs in this album over and over again. It feels so simple so calming yet i can still imagine so many ways i would try to make it into a music video. I can listen to it over and over again when i travel back home in the train thinking about anything. I feel that this is kinda disrespectful but i view this album as like an alternative more cynical version of nurture. It has so many vibes aligning to but it feels like this is version is an alternative timeline where it took a “wrong” turn somewhere down the pipeline but it’s still so beautiful to listen to. It feels like a broken down machine trying to work. It gives the midwest emo vibes but more existential. idfk im just rabbling at this point. Ok bye

This is the actual distinction that has the complainers up in arms on every "breakcore" mix, and why the conflation between the very distinct "old" and "new" variants is so sad. The old stuff heavily varies its drums basically every measure (see venetian snares - "gentleman" for an example if you want) whereas the newer stuff often gets away with applying the label to tracks that loop a single unchopped break the whole way through. This is kinda in the middle obviously, but more towards the latter end. Not a problem, it does a great job in that space, and deserves the praise it's getting. But always saddening to see the perpetual genre mislabeling and how it can lead to misconceptions like this one.
Overall probably one of your best albums! And the shorter and cleaner versions of Guessabelle and Starfields are great considering Guessabelle is one of the best songs you have put out in my opinion! Keep up the good work👍

I've been working on a massive concept album with a 5 song prologue and a main album with 13 songs and doing the transitions and working on the emotions i want to transmit and this album inspires me a lot to keep working on it and finish it, to put my best on it. You are very talented and creative and i hope you keep growing and go very far. Working with you one day would be a dream come true.

This album is beautiful. Vertigo and Escape Your Dream are easily my favorite on the album. they're like....ending songs to a long video game that had so many sad twists and turns (Some that come to mind are like Far Cry 5 and such), or just the anthem for the end of a story, Vertigo reminding me a lot of artists like Hammock. Well done for your debut, Turquoise.

learnt melodies off of watching a lot of anime intros when i was younger, so that helped the drums and stuff were inspired by the jungle artist "goldie" im not on his level at all but i aspire to be one day

I increased the high end on the guess break which gives way for the shakers and High hats to shine in the mix
