I think Court gets voted out a lot because of meta, mostly, but also because she's too soft-spoken and polite to really defend herself whenever she's even mildly sussed. For the most part she tends to respond to suspicion with something like, "well I don't think I'm the only one that could've done this," and when it's clear she's gonna get voted out, she usually accepts it. Hafu fights tooth and nail to not get voted and it works really well because the crew are afraid of accidentally wronging Hafu when she's actually innocent.

You're mostly right. Where you are wrong is that they don't vote Hafu because it's her lobby.
She set a precident very early on that if you oppose her too often, she'll stop inviting them.
She denies it, but she stopped inviting Poke, Toast, Wolfabelle, and Nelly.
What do all 4 have in common? They all go against her too much for her patience.
Hafu denies this, but DK and Steve point it out quite often.
Even though it's Apollo's lobby, Hafu proved not too long ago that it was STILL her lobby and no f"cks with her when buttoned and pushed a vote on Steve for no reason other her pettiness.
Steve was in his right to be upset with her and tell her he'd kill her first.
Hafu, for lack of a better word, is a b"tch.
      Don't believe me?
She called Wolfabelle a whore. With started the feud between them.
      She called Tina a retard.
Not only is Tina NOT retard, she doesn't and hasn't ever hindered herself or someone else.
This also pissed off the OTV and friends group as well as many of her other friends.
In Hafu's defense, she did fly to LA to apologize to Tina in person. Though this did satisfy many of their mutual friends, Tina still won't talk to Hafu.
She Kimi a b"tch because Kimi chose to spend time with her family, instead of attending the lobby on Christmas Eve.
      I don't see how that makes Kimi a b"tch.
As for Court, she is too nice but it's her knowledge of the game mechanics and overall skill level that get her voted on nothing.
Hell, she gets voted out even when she is clear.
So the only part you got right is that Court is a softie. Everything else is just wrong.
You forget that lobby has conditioned her to know that she's getting voted regardless, so she doesn't even try anymore.

She also doesn't enjoy being evil like she mentions in this game which is why she has lackluster defense when in comparison to someone like 5up and Hafu who fight tooth and nail to stay in the game cause they love being impostor/evil. Sucks though, cause she's one of my favourites.

I'm gonna miss Court so much. I'm glad Junk has Koji and DK left as his nemesisis, but Court will always be the number one villain in his games.
With that said, Court really has the most chill and fun attitude, even when she gets susses a lot (even as Crewmate, good god she gets voted out as Crewmate almost as much as Impostor), she's always prioritizing everyone in the lobby having fun. When she sees bad plays, she hypes them up (mostly Kimi). Other players get frustrated with less, but she's always so strong and able to keep her head held up high and smile to the other players and have fun. All of this while also being super smart, methodical and great at deductions.

It's the same thing that happen with 5up when he was a very strong impostor BUT with the difference in that the "meme" players like Junk or Skadj also like to Target Court for the lols so she has a Lot less space to manouver than 'prime' 5up for example. Also, She's very chill so Even if people tunnel on her a Lot more she never complains too much which is usually a reason for why people sometimes are reluctant to tunnel on other players that much (like DD, 5up, hafu) who have expressed their unhappiness about that more vocally in the past.

This is a very good point. Those 3 players will complain early and often about that kind of stuff. Indeed Hafu has always been one of the most hypocritical on meta sus in particular; back in OG morning lobby days she was always trying to chide people for meta sus while she would always use it herself. BTW I'm not one of the perpetual hafu haters I actually really like her I just think some of her positions around meta sus in particular were very nonsensical and hypocritical. By contrast US has uber pricy stuff, but it's a pretty good quality (compared to other places).
Also US generally is built around the idea that the state should stay away from as much as possible and instead people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps instead of waiting for handouts.

    • @Froliczxc
      @Froliczxc 4 месяца назад +4

Health benefits from employment is extremely common around the world and is welcomed by many. However, the issue that is unique to USA is that healthcare cost is abhorrently higher than any other high income nation you can name. Which means, without an expensive and expansive health insurance, most individuals cannot actually afford healthcare when they need it. In most other developed nations in the world, a citizen does not need to rely on a health insurance to be able to see a general practitioner when they suffer minor health setbacks because general healthcare is affordable and subsidised. Courtily probably is unable to afford good insurance on her own and does not want to risk being in debt for when she or her family member needs a checkup and so has decided to get a job for the added healthcare coverage that comes with it. It's really sad to see Americans having limited access to healthcare just because it's so difficult to afford even the bare minimum while their government continues to be a bystander. I hope it gets better.

Although I assume the lobby may not want it because then the impos, neutrals basically have two shots (lovers and the other role) to guess. On top of that the lovers is a twin role meaning that impos and neutrals basically have 4 potential shots at getting it right, not to mention that it's actually much easier to guess lover overall, do to the role being 2 out however many players there are, as opposed to the other roles, which are only one of each.

I think it's great to have both options guessable because it forces players to more careful and be more deceitful when clearing, traveling together, etc., but that's how I would personally play the game. I personally prefer banning role calling, like in 5up's other lobby. But for this lobby, there's a certain level of trolling and casual play mixed with the more try hard stuff that might be affected by having lover's be guessable, so I'm OK with it not being guessable. Bait, on the other hand, should always be guessable because why would you ever out yourself? Both Aipha and Kimi doing that was so weird.

13:30 I think what this actually shows is that people are too soft on Hafu for understandable reasons. It's her lobby so she gets to decide who gets to join and she also gets mad when people vote her out (correctly or incorrectly) for bad reasons. To the point where people like 5up feel the need to apologize to her after the game for a perceived slight. Hafu's definitely smart and a good player but these reasons make it so she'll never get voted out unless there's hard evidence or they're on 6 or something. But she'll vote 5up out for bad movement or taking 1 second too little on a task.

    - Courtilly has far many more hours of Modded Among Us under her belt, and is way more familiar with the modpack and game mechanics and interactions
    - so why is she struggling SO hard to win in the Morning Lobby? (and also does this phenomenon also apply to the other lobbies she plays in e.g. Junk lobbies, Speedy Lobbies etc?)

The Chilled/Junk/Speedy lobbies are far less sweatier and more on funny or troll plays rather than trying to win. In fact they don't try to win, they're just there to hang a good time. Usually they have proximity chat turned on so that contributes to that.

To use D&D terms, Courtilly is high in intelligence and Wisdom, but has low charisma. It is basically very hard for her to talk her way out of meetings. She's good at coming up with a story, but it's hard for her to scrounge up the charisma needed to sell it to the rest of the lobby (who is very sweaty). Compare that with 5up who has more moderate Intelligence and Wisdom, but tons of Charisma. At one point he mentioned that he has a habit of walking weirdly and then talking himself out of it, not to mention all the times he manages to pick exactly who he needs for the final vote in order to win.

    • @choco1101

I would add that while I agree with Hafu being average or even slightly below average in meetings as imposter nowadays(especially she no longer compartmentalize her morals as much as the among us heydays), she still has great kill mechanics. Something the junk/chilled/vik lobbies never focused on. 5up/Hafu/DD basically studied the maps and action mechanics back then.

    • @carolinapistone6516
      @carolinapistone6516 4 месяца назад +1

I absolutely believe Courtilly should be higher on that list and Hafu lower if we're accounting for bias. I think this lobby has had that Hafu bias for ages where they generally avoid voting her unless it's a hard accuse (and even then, only sometimes) or they're on final six (even 5up had said she has plot armor before). But to Hafu's credit, she is really good at defending herself. She's confident, she will push for her clear, and she's also great at sniping a kill and finding a way out or a person to clear herself with. Courtilly definitely gets unfairly voted, and I do think Dumbdog (who is my favorite) can be responsible for this a lot because he KNOWS how good she is at lying. But also the lobby in general has figured out how good she and Kara are and have a little fear associated with them (which is why I feel like Hafu tunnels on Kara a lot, too). That said, Courtilly isn't the best at defending herself. Honestly, most of the time she just says, "Yeah, I can see why you think that, but no, it wasn't me." She's gotten better, but she still isn't as obstinate as Hafu. Also, and I genuinely think Courtilly is an amazing player, her kills aren't always that slick. Maybe it's because she comes from less sweaty lobbies, but sometimes she just goes for a kill right after being spotted somewhere and then doesn't immediately place herself with someone else. So I think it's a little bit of both-some justified placement and definitely some bias.

I don’t even think she’s good at talking out of it, I think the others have got to the point where they talk themselves out of voting for her or get amnesia when it comes to voting. I’m not saying she’s a bad player but for some reason they are hesitant to vote her. Maybe respect or feeling bad or maybe those times the people left alive to vote her out are the ones who are the worst at retaining information that clearly previously pointed to her being the imposter.

Courtilly doesn’t defend herself too well. In the round, her defense was that “it wasn’t her but she could see how folks thought it was”. Not a strong defense.
Meanwhile, Hafu’s defense was that she “didn’t even know you could guess Bait” which sounds more believable with her tone.
It also hurts Courtilly that she’s so good at lying. She sounds the same in tone and voice whether she’s lying or not. Meaning it’s usually safer for crewmates to vote her out, more often than not.

  • @papichugas1710

Honestly I think Courtilly is kinda like Steve, both often get sussed for small things, but they don't seem to care much so they don't try to defend themselves too hard even if the accusations feel meta or unreasonable from a viewer's POV. This match is the perfect example, they essentially got meta sussed and instavoted when they probably could've survived longer if they had fought back harder.
They also don't complain about getting voted, so other people don't hesitate to call them out on things like this. Meanwhile, DumbDog for example gets tunneled but he complains a lot when he feels he is being accused unreasonably so he both prolongs his death and makes the others more hesitant to accuse him in the first place.
I also remember Courtilly having connection issues which cause her to disconnect, which could affect her winrate.

Court has the same problem Wolfabel had. They have trigger fingers. Court can connect the dots so fast on who has what roles or at least make very good educated guesses that once she thinks thats what their role is she shoots. She doesnt really wait or hold that info for later. Also since everyone knows how smart she is crew turns real fast on her cause mechanically she can win. They tunnel so quickly out of paranoia kinda how Toast used to get sussed so quickly or always had crew on his side most of the time cause they knew he was giga brained. Shes also more soft spoken or at least not as passionate as other members so its easy for her arguments to loose. Similar to how Koji get voted out so often cause of bad sus or his name just getting thrown in for no reason. They get biased so hard unintentionally.

I think that everything you said about Courtilly is true, but also somewhat applies to Kara, Junk, Aipha, and Huhbombuh, and to an extent Koji and Ellum too. I feel like the OGs (Hafu, 5up, DD, DK, etc) don't get voted out as quickly because they'd be the most vocal about it if it happened to them. But it seems like the newer regulars don't complain about it as much, maybe because they don't want any drama or they're afraid of not getting invited back? Idk. But it is a shame, because I especially love watching Courtilly and Kara, but they're just not alive as much.

people are too willing to vote on courtilly. if you don’t know if bait can be guessed, you just have to cycle twice to see that it can be. anyone can do that. so many people still try to guess plaguebarer when they’re facing pestilence that it doesn’t make sense to just tunnel on the smartest players. sure it worked this time but most of the time in that situation you’re just voting out courtilly out of habit

She's the smartest. By nature she's not a fighter PLUS they always vote her out because of meta reasons. It's unfortunate really. She needs a better lobby.

No shade but you asked for an honest answer so I'm going to give it. Absolutely no way I feel sorry for Courtilly; she deserves to lose and all of her losses. She is a damn great player and BECAUSE of that she should be winning but she is her own downfall. She needs to switch up her gameplay (don't kill immediately in meetings, have better stories and alibis, etc) Disguised Toast said in an interview that he needed to constantly change his gameplay b/c other players were learning his tells. That's what a game like Among Us is all about; learning tells and finding the liar or being such a good liar they can't differentiate you from a crewmember.

About Hafu... well imo everyone kisses her ass and that's why she gets away with way more than she should. Using Disguised Toast again as a reference; in the same interview he said people were afraid to vote him out or kill him b/c he ran the lobby. So they catered to him to keep getting invited. This lobby started out as Hafu and DK right? Also this lobby is about winning so don't get upset when they don't pull punches to get the killer out (watch other lobbies if you just want fun where winning doesn't matter) Again imo Steve is bullied, DK is catered to, Junk gets teased mercilessly and the list is endless. Obviously they're friends but patterns do emerge after watching hours of their gameplay and interactions. I thoroughly enjoy this lobby and this channel but asking a question about mistreatment or at least unequal treatment of players..... far too much to actually discuss all the issues that are blatantly apparent.

I am neither a big fan of hafu nor Courtilly, but I can tell you I've seen so many Hafu vs Courtilly cases that I can even remember off the bat that time Courtilly was actually a good role and Hafu was bad in like last 3, yet Courtilly was voted off. For that specific one, I think Kara voted Courtilly who was investigator. Junk also doesn't like Courtilly I've realized that so if there's any accusation on Courtilly, he would definitely jump on the wagon. Dumbdog also metas against Courtilly as well as Hafu herself.
Also, I'm sorry but Hafu is just the leader of the lobby, and people are just afraid to meta suss her. DK has jokingly said "Oh she's not gonna invite you back if you vote her" and then laughs off, but in a way, people actually don't vote her unless they have a 1v1 hard accusation against her. If it's ANY META accusation against Hafu, I'm sorry but I can't think of even one at the top of my head. And even if they narrow down to Hafu and someone else rarely meta sussed, they prob won't vote her because of that reason and just skip for the "safe route."

Lmao as soon as you said 'Junk doesn't like Court' I knew everything you typed here is worthless. Junk is incredibly fond of Court, you're just too socially inept to pick up on the social cues involved.

Always found it interesting how being good and the host of the lobby gave Hafu “plot armour”, whereas with the Toast lobbies - it made him get voted out even more!

@@AmongUsAcademy Hafu's intelligence comes from her insecurities. So while she has smart arguments, her arguments come out with an undertone of victimhood. Other people feel the burden of proof. She herself also believes in effort, so people are more serious argument for or against her, again, less likely to just throw her out randomly. Court has a caring voice and often expresses herself in a way that looks like she doesn't mind what results she gets. Kara even shows her smarts and is even more assertive and in your face when she is confident, which could even put people off. I would say it causes some male players to throw her out a little more than randomly (not necessarily accusing anyone it this particular lobby)
